1 star for the food & the staff being "nice" however I cant say much beyond that. The management and system for seating people is horrible, someone does not know basic math in the way they figure these thigs out. The wait is consistently long & not because its a hopping place. One time on my birthday WITH MY FAMILY I waited over an hour before leaving. The reason staff AND the mngr gave us for the wait was "we currently only have an open table for 4 or for 8" They refused to remove or add chairs and the MANAGER explained the table for 8 could not be used by our party of 6 in case a larger party came in. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. These folks failed algebra & the concept of adding/removing x. Valentines Day: I had a gift card & thats the ONLY reason I returned to OG (after my birthday exp above). I thought Id be proactive & order to go so I could just order, go elsewhere for a bit & return to pick up. Sounds simple enough right? NOOOOO. NOOOOOO. Not when youre a restaurant run by complete clods with zero skills in efficiency. So I go up to the hostess & ask to order from the to go menu, she point me to the area marked "to go" & tells me the menus are over there & someone will come take my order. My family & I pick our menu items and wait...and wait...and wait.It was quite busy being Valentines so I was trying to be understanding. I go up to the hostess after half an hour & the hostess looks at me like Im an alien from Mars & says "can I help you?" I let her know Im waiting to order a to go item. Completely unaware Ive already spoken to her apparently she directs me to the same spot & tells me she needs to call someone to help me. I tell her I will wait until shes called someone to go over there & wait, So I watch her call someone , go to the "to go" spot & wait...and wait......after another 15 min. I leave & go outside. I call OG & speak to someone by phone FROM OUTSIDE THE RESTAURANT and placed by order WITHIN 2 MINUTES. I am given a pick up time & return to pick up food at the time., The guy who brought our food out explained that they had a lot of new staff & he himself was new & put in charge for the evening. Yeah. I Think this will be my last visit to OG. If I want Italian Ill go to Marys or a real place.

My family and I had entered the restaurant. The host made eye contact with my mother, and then drifted his eyes to his computer screen. My mother does not take poor service well, and had remained at least a few feet in front of him here and there, until she felt she had to sit down. A few minutes later, another family came in. They were given full attention, and were immediately seated. Noting this is Rohnert Park, a town with less acceptance towards ethnic diversity, it is no surprise that a Caucasian family was given priority than a family of Southeast Asian descent. We had been going to this restaurant for about five years now, so I believe this review is quite accurate in highlighting a summary of our years of dining in this particular Olive Garden on Redwood Drive. Upon being seated, we were not given utensils and handkerchiefs. It was not until less than twenty minutes later that we were given those items, with the handkerchiefs placed on our table with a small hint of aggression. Nothing explicit, but body language matters. After moderate service from then on out, we ignored the lack of attention payed to one of our requests and payed a tip of fifteen percent. On our way out, we heard our waiter say "That family had payed me a horrible tip." I am making no assumptions about the reasons to the way we have been served. However, please rate up and post your experiences if this reflects what you have experienced in the past. Having talking about this peers of mine since coming up here (both "locals" and "out of towners," these experiences of ours are quite normalized. People write reviews because they had experienced something unique, good or bad. Let us really understand that.

First thing, the hosts do not know what the hell is going on, another group just as large as ours was seated befroe us after we arrived 5 minutes before us- AND there is a no reservation policty. Screaming babies and unatended children roam around like its disney land in the loby. We waited 10 minutes for a seat and 15 minutes for service. The bread sticks were cold and the soup was disgustingly tempid, like the staff just opened up a new bag and poured it in the warmer from the fridge (COLD AND WARM). They say you can eat ulimited soup/salad/bread sticks, for $5.95, but our waiter only came around twice, once to drop off and once to pick up the used plates. The wine is terrible - box wine is better then their house merlot, or C+ local brands which they hike up the price by 500% . The food was probably sitting in the heat tray for awhile because my plate was buring hot and my sausage in my fettechine penne was a little rubbery. Then we waited for god knows how long to try to leave the place. D - service - might as well go to outback where the food is pretty much the same price but better.

Olive Garden used to be one of my favorite restaurants. After not going there in quite some time (over a year) my husband and I decided to go there for their lighter fare lunch yesterday. We gave the waitress our order, but she failed to ask us what we wanted to drink and my husband had to yell it at her as she was walking away. When we got our food, my husbands chicken wasnt cooked and still pink in the middle so he sent it back and they cooked it longer. My chicken was OK, but not a good cut of chicken. I had to spit out 2 large bites into my napkin because of the fat and gristle. Not to mention when the waitress took our salad plates when our food came, she also took my husbands fork so we had to share my fork during our lunch. Its finally over and we get the bill and were charged the higher dinner prices rather than the lunch prices, so we had the waitress fix it before we paid. All in all not a good experience and not sure Im going there anymore after this visit.

Worst food I have ever had at an Olive Garden. I am very disappointed as I have never had one bad experience with their food until tonight. Their famous bread sticks not so famous. I always look forward to their bread sticks and tonight was like they literally took them off another table that no one ate, cold, chewy and blehhh. The calamari was like eating rubber way over cooked and no taste. The mozzarella sauce also the worst as it tasted like cheap spaghetti sauce. I read the reviews before going so I admit my fault should have listened but its been months since Ive been. I can say the customer service was the only satisfying part out of my visit.

As the only Olive Garden located in Sonoma County this location is always busy. They consistently churn out the standard Italian American classics that satisfy your hunger. Im never blown away by their food, but my family finds comfort in their staid fare. I rarely order their pasta dishes, instead I prefer dishes like their chicken sorento or the new chicken picata. The picata was edible, but not a stand out version of the classic. The salad and bread sticks are still the big draw for me. This location does a good job with cleanliness and service is consistently good.
