We were in the area, and we really enjoy the flavors of Indian cooking, so we found this little place along San Mateo Ave. We were concerned when we walked in, and we were the only diners there, but it was during the Thanksgiving weekend, so figured many of the locals may be out of town for the holidays. We had their tandoori sampler, along with chicken saag, veggie baryini rice, lamb vindooloo, and one more vegetarian dish. We were very happy we found this place because the food was very good. I cannot tell you if this is "authentic" or not because Ive never been to India, but what we look for is fresh, flavorful foods, and that is what we enjoyed here. The tandoori chicken that I had was the best tandoori chicken I think Ive ever had. Normally, it always seems to get very dry and not much in the way of spices. But here, these guys seem to know how to make wonderful tandoori chicken that is bursting with flavor and is juicy. This is a great little find. The ambiance is not much to look at, but the food is the most important to us, and that is where Noori excels.

If you folks prefer service than this place is not for you. I would give them 0 star for service or negative if I could. The food was ok. Just one piece of paneer found in veg. Jalfrazi with paneer. Found big chunk black hard stuff size of quarter in my food when asked told its " kala Mirch very good for your health". I asked is it suppose to serve with food. He said yes. Let me tell you folks I have taken picture of it and will try to upload but it is not suppose to be in your food. Guys are running like a chicken here and there but not hiring extra help to provide at least service not talking about good service. This place sucks and dont recommend to anyone.

My wife, son & I eat-in here only occasionally, but we take out from here a couple of times a month. We love the goat biriyani, chicken vindaloo & chicken saag. Friendly service. When we do eat in, we notice that the dining room is clean and not overly crowded with many tables. They have another location in San Francisco on Irving Street in the Sunset District. We havent tried it because we stick to the San Bruno location.

I ordered goat biryani because I was craving for it and was very disappointed. They went for the short cut by mixing goat curry into plain rice. For Biryani, you cook the masala, and add rice later and cook it more till the color of the rice changes. I have tried their curries before and had been equally disappointed. So this is my last trip. Never coming back again.

Had dinner here while visiting family in San Bruno and then came back for lunch the next day. It was that good! Tried a variety of dishes and each one was fantastic in its own way. Great spice range and assortment. Cant say enough. Service was great and our waiter was very friendly and helpful in explaining all the dishes. I will definitely go back.

Ended up visiting Noori since our favorite Korean place was closed and Im glad we did. The chicken boti, naan, soups and okra dishes were amazing. The staff was super friendly and we walked out paying around $40 for 3 people and more than enough food. Adding to my lists of places to visit again.

The butter chicken was just okay, since the chicken pieces were a little tough and seemed overcooked. The eggplant bharta, on the other hand, was outstanding! Sooo delicious. If I came back here and ordered only that with a side of rice, I would be a happy camper.

Good vegan options, awesome spice levels, and knowledgeable staff. The food was fast once we ordered, but we needed to flag down someone to get menus and again to order and that took much longer than it should have.

The byriani is great but their meat dishes are pretty dry. The service is friendly but they had forgot one of our dishes. The portions per dish are amazing though. Im giving 3-stars for good food and great portions.

Love this place. Its a must for my family when visiting the Bay Area. Unless you are accustomed to extremely spicy food, I would go with the regular spicy food versus the 1,2,3 alarms and 6 feet under heat!

The best around. Granted there isnt much Indian food. I generally ask whats good today and go with that. Biryany and tandoori chicken have been my favs so far. Service is courteous.

Dropped by for lunch the other day, a few days after the restaurant opened in San Bruno. Spinach curry and seekh kebab were both great -- looking forward to going back again.

Food was top notch, but service was bad. They did not provide menus at our seating, and did not bring water even after they said they would.

Delicious flavors and tons of veggie options. Fresh sticks of ginger and jalapeno spice up the dishes. Nicely decorated with character.

Worst service ever. The waiters attitude is third class. Tea tasted like soap water and got bajji when ordered pakora.
