Ive been coming here since 2007 with several coworkers and it seems if you are Hispanic and order in Hispanic you tend to get a little extra on your tri-tip sandwich... just sayin... but I prefer the pork ribs... unfortunately the quality is inconsistent. They have ranged from perfect(hot and juicy, and comes off the bone nicely) to dry and tough. Today 8-7-17 they seemed old... like they have been sitting around a while. The meat came off the bone clean, but they were on the verge of being considered dry. I talked to one of the guys working the bbq about the tough ribs previously, he said there is one guy who dont know how to cook the ribs right, but it seems no one is doing quality control... I do like there hot links and baked beans. The hot sauce is HOT! The mild is just right. Sometimes I get half hot and half mild on the side for a little extra heat. We havent seen Buster there for quite a while or else I would talk to him about it... The other guys havent complained about the tri tip sandwiches except for as previously noted... I just hope the ribs are up to par next time we roll through...

Way to expencive. Let this dude out of the small town. They come across on the web like a top shelf Bar-B-Que, and are nothing more than a cheap fast food place. Food is dry and plain. Your made to put the sauce on your own food. The cashier at at the counter had a bad attitude about the conversation about the food, and I mean the one preparing the plates even looked at the cashier like get out of my space. The cashier was not allowing any conversation and pushing things along forcing the order. No wonder really, and if I was allowed to look at the food at all I would not pay that price. Lucky I was hungry. If not I would have simply walked away at the cashiers first interruption. The only thing worth the price was the sauce, but the rest ruined the plus. There were no fixens. Theres nothing authentic about this place or its rubber chicken.

Not worth the price... Its not really a restaurant, its a walk up food stand (counter service) with detached enclosed eating area. Heres what I dont like... They expect tips but dont have waiters. They recently raised their rates 2-3 dollars. Now even a hotlink(spicy hotdog) is $11. Once we got rancid macaroni salad. The sides come in tiny 3oz containers ( similar to condiment containers) Their bathroom and auxiliary porta potty is not a nice experience. What I do like is the sauce and their street corn (when they have it). It feels as though the owner is pinching pennies as much as possible while maximizing profits. If they offered a decent price and decent portions while ensuring the food quality it would have far more customers before and after lunch (the only time they are busy).

Eatable. But thats about all the good I can say about the food here. The first thing I noticed was the price, but whatever I thought, food around here is probably inflated, plus if its good barbeque its worth it. I ordered the rib dinner with potato salad and macaroni salad. The sides tasted awkward, not how they should taste. The ribs were tough and hard to eat. The barbeque sauce was runny and tasted more like a chili sauce should, not barbeque sauce. I was feeling very in impressed, but the icing on the cake was when I discovered the inside of the meat on one of the ribs was clearly green. I was done at that point.

Its decent. Ive had better BBQ. The baked beans dont taste like anything I cant find out of a can. The meat has no BBQ smoke flavor and is just drenched with sauce and served with a sad, tiny plastic container of packaged coleslaw. If this place has garnered such great reviews I seriously question the validity of these reviews. For anyone saying this is the best BBQ in the Bay Area, first off this isnt the Bay Area up here, second, there are tons of BBQ places in San Francisco and one in Pacifica (Gorilla BBQ). This place is a far cry from great BBQ.

I feel so strongly about this place that Im reviewing it 8 months after eating here. We drove an hour from Sonoma to eat here and I was very disappointed--its not southern bbq. Im from the south and Ive eaten so much southern bbq that I can say that definitively. Although my husbsnd liked it, the meat wasnt tender, and the sauce had a southwest flavor. BIG difference. And there wasnt even a point to the spice in the spicy ribs--it tasted more like he dumped spoons of cayenne pepper than like he used flavorful spicy peppers.

This food is not worth the price or my time! I came here based on the reviews and boy did I feel like I was cheated!!! The food was served at room temperature so by the time I got to the table the food was already cold. Then the food taste like NOTHING, it had no flavor. I order the tri tip sandwich, the pork sirloin sandwich, the pulled pork sandwich and the rib dinner plate. The coleslaw tastes like it was moldy and finally the price is not worth it. I paid almost $80 and everything ended up in the garbage.

Seriously the best pulled pork sandwich Ive had in California since moving here three years ago. Im from Kentucky where we hold some of the biggest bbq compitions in the world and this little place in Calistoga is some of the best Ive ever had. Try the hot sauce, its very hot but oh so delicious.

Most reviews say avoid the sides, so I did. I kept it to just a half rack of pork ribs. Definitely not smoked or slow cooked. The regular, mild sauce has a lot of potential, just needs more concentration and maybe a little salt. Really cute concept, Ill probably try the tri-tip next time.

One of my favorite eateries, tri tip sandwich, baked beans and coleslaw. So good, watch out for the hot bbq sauce!!! Its hot...this is bbq, that one guy must get his bbq from applebees...a must stop on any ride...Busters usually out & about...bathroom is kinda tight, fyi...

When they say spicy they mean spicy. We decided to ask for them to put a mix of spicy and not spicy sauce to tone it down a bit and it was more tolerable but still hot. It was quite tasty though and a fun experience. Great lunch for a break from a long day of wine tasting.

This place cant be beat. The food is incredible and the beer is cold. Convenient location in Calistoga, but be forewarned, this place is very popular and can get crowded in a hurry. The line moves quickly so the wait is usually not bad.

Best BBQ I have had hands down, got my first tri tip sandwich just to see if it was any good, ate my second because I was hungry, and ate my third out of pure lust for the perfectly done steak. The baked beans were the best side.

Awesome! Must stop here for lunch or mid afternoon wine sop-up. The hot BBQ sauce is so good I can still taste it. Tritip sandwich was so good! The hot link was ok, a big sausage for $4. Reasonably priced and no reservation needed.

All the other restaurants in the area are trying to be premium and cool, but with that comes the price. Busters is a nice grill that gives you good food for a good price. Strongly recommend to stop by if you need something to eat.
