Online Order - Attempted to order 2 bottles of Shark Attack. I hadnt heard anything for a couple of days so I emailed them. At first they have no record of my order, although they had my money. After contacting them, I had to provide my order email for them to verify it. Once they did, they told me their inventory was off and they are going through a remodel and to check back in a month. After asking for a refund multiple times, my emails went unanswered. It wasnt until I received a promotional email from them that I decided to check back. Still out of stock, but apologetic. They also are saying that the credit card was never charged. I am providing my bank info and a withdrawl from their store. Avoid buying online with them. Im not sure they have the system in place to handle it.

I have been buying wine from Dan for over 15 years now. Yet I have only been to his current location once. I don’t visit their website either. Rather I buy all of my wines from Dan based on the wine emails he sends out. For example last week Dan sent an email on the Bollinger Champagne. (2005 Champagne Bollinger Brut ‘La Grande Année’ Brut $89.98 (reg. $155) ST95 WS95 JS95). I read that, I sent Dan an email asking for three bottles, and a few minutes later I received a reply from Dan saying they would be at my home on Friday. The transaction literally took all of 2 minutes max. That is how I buy my wines, some of the best wines the world has to offer, at great prices, and delivered to my door. Need I say more?

I know that I am a picky guy, but I am a fan of this place. I like that the stores pricing is aggressive, and that they have long time personnel that know the product in the store. See Dan. For me, the wine bar has good finger food and is better than I have seen done elsewhere. My wife and I are meeting with another couple there tonight because the atmosphere really works. Plus I like being able to buy a bottle and walk it over and open at the bar or taking a taste of something they are promoting at the bar and when I hit a winner, walking into the store and getting it. So I think they have something here.

4 stars just because I really only picked up a few beers from the "wall of craft beers, n Note. Will need to return and check out the wine tasting. Live music, plenty of seating, they re-did the place 4 years or so ago and its hopping! So glad the kept and expanded the wall of beers. Bevmo is local but they do have a lot of Euro beers cold. Not hatin, Bevmo is cool too.

There are a lot of good things going on for this place. Decent food, nice ambience, good music, reasonably priced wines, good particularly during happy hour you dont pay corkage fee. The big minus is there exhaust system. Every time we go there we come back smelling fried stuff.

Its nice to have a place with a decent wine and beer list in Rancho Santa Margarita, but be prepared to leave smelling like a mix of off-putting kitchen smoke and dishwasher sanitizer when you leave, even if only spending 20 minutes inside. The smells ruin the experience.

They had a decent array of bottled beer for RSM; however, there was a lack of desirable beers on a 18 tap selection. The space was surprisingly large with live music but the smell from the kitchen was overwhelming.

Obviously a great wine selection. New chef just recently and a bit of a step up on food. You can buy a bottle from the huge selection at retail with only a small corkage.
