How do I even start, Usually this Hometown has better food than most. But this was by far the worst experience ever. First at the register, the darn girl was not listening when I told her that I have my military ID with me. she rang me up and I paid for my niece and I. I looked at the receipt and asked her why she did not add the discount. She was more or less like oh well, there was nothing she could do. So now I am walking in frustrated from that, stop at the salad bar and I lie to you not the tomatos, cucumbers, and beets were all frozen. So i took the plate back to my table and just sat it there. The food was so bland and just really bad, we had one plate a drink. Now you have to pay for your darn drinks here. Crazy. So some kid walking by that worked there I asked him to please pick up the plate with the salad. His comment was "why did you get a salad if you didn"t want it?" Man he pissed me off quickly, where is the old rule of treat your customers with respect. So I asked for the manager. Again someone young and not trained properly. I will never go to this place again.

Why do I think it used to be better. Previously I would frequent this location but do not seem to be doing so as of late. While its gotten better not cleanest but what do you expect fighting someone over that last slice of whatever. Prices went up quite some time ago disguised with a separate drink purchase. I guess thats good for people who dont want them though. Food is usually bland and you can get your fill. Ice cream area always seems to be a disaster. Restrooms sometimes make you think youre better off not. Cashiers usually friendly, those on the floor, not always. Still good destination if you dont know what to eat and want to get your fill. Ive always gotten a warning that they are going to be cleaning up and never seemed rushed out the door which is good too.

The food its ok,but the manager or asisten manager named Jose,he is checking every single glass because the glass for water is red and the glass for soda is clear and have bad experience on 03/03/17 I was having dinner with my family 4 in total , me and my son we no dot drink soda so we order two sodas and two water,so I alway drink my water with straw, he aproched to my table saying "the casher made a mistake,she should charge for three sodas instead 2, my answer was "I am drinking Water and I offert to taste my drink,because he did not believe,and then no body picked up the dirty plates,we 8 dirty plates on the table,untill other manager a color lady aproched to clean my table, now I understand why several locations are closing. BAD MANAGEMENT.

Best experience ever. Outstanding service from everyone especially the manager I think his name was Pedro you can tell he cares about his job and takes pride in his work.I was surprised when he had the cook make Orange chicken just to please my 6 yr old who is a picky eater and he made a point to go to every table and ask each customer if everything was going good. Also it was clean every person here took plates immediately and was friendly.this is going to be my favorite place to go now .food was amazing steak servered to your table just how you like it.A+; trust me and go here .thanks .

Alright, lets start with the food. The food at this place is mediocre. Its low quality, compared to fast food. Basically, the food is terrible. However, we foolish humans love high fat, sugar, and sodium, which most of the dishes pack, so the buffet manages to receive a "Good" rating. As for the decor, the place was nicely arranged. Nothing too fancy. The service is very helpful. The waiters arent particularly fast, but they come quick enough to warrant a "Very Good" in Service.

Food was just ok. Facillity needs new carpeting or TLC. Beware if you book lunch banquet to be sure you pay well before you leave. I booked a lunch party for my daughters babyshower 1-4pm. Id been up till 3:30 in morning w/final plans and didnt notice they charged me dinner rates instead of lunch rates. By the time I noticed and was able to call back there was nothing they would do to correct it. So we had a 12.00 lunch that was really nothing to write home about., Beware!

The place used to be packed with people day and night, but I noticed there was only two other families, and I see why! Horrible food. I went there 8/22/2017 and while the staff was okay, the food was not. The food was either too salty or not tasty. Their food downgraded and my family and I used to love coming here. For fifty bucks, its not worth it. Id much rather go to a fast food restaurant. Its cheaper and tastes better. That, or go to a different buffet.

To be honest, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I dont know who the dish washer is but he/she needs to be fired ASAP. Its not the first time Ive come and grabbed a plate with leftovers from someone elses food or a fork with crust on it. This is common practice here. So if youre a fan of crowded places, a buffet that hasnt changed in at least 10 years, and eating off disgusting dishes, then this place is for you. I personally, will not be coming back.

Horrible......just horrible. The good is disgusting. It does not taste good. It either tastes like leftovers or cardboard. The meat isnt meat at all......it was fat. The tortilla chips were completely rancid. The plates and silverware were not fully cleaned....they had food on them. The experience here at this buffet that I just barely came out of was horrible. It was not worth $12.79 per person. Im definitely not coming here again.

This hometown buffet is better managed than the one in Montclair, which is why we go to this one even though it is further away from our house. Unlike Montclair, they dont run out of food, which gets filled quickly. As with other Hometown Buffets, the food is pretty terrible, but sometimes youre in the mood for it, or when you have a coupon. I think the local chinese buffets in the area offer a much better value and variety.

I normally dont go to buffet, because the food isnt hot enough for me and I like my chicken breast dry. I called they said they would re cook what ever I needed. I was impressed since I know how to make it about right I told them close to 5 minutes. It was the best chicken I ever had from a buffet. I only go to buffet when someone else is taking me out when its a group thing like it was on this Mothers Day

Most of the times that we were there the food was not tasty, it was salty and had a lot of fat. The menu is always the same. There is foos on the floor; there are kids running all around rouching the food! The waiters are as helpful as they can be. The prices have increased but the quality is bad! We will not return until these issues are corrected. Mary Williams

This is the second location where we have been regulars and at both they staff was super friendly and attentive. They take the time to recognize us and welcome us back. There is no "caviar" on the menu, but the selection is always varied enough to keep all happy, well prepared and fresh. We particularly like the kids special pricing every Thursday.
