Guess I should have had the "giant burrito". The mystery salmon was said to be wild, so went with 3 all day sandwiches: BLT, had lots of good thick bacon but was shy on enough red tomatoes and lettuce. Also needs more of tiny avocados. CLUB,had lots of meat, nice and thick, but I would add more lettuce and salt and pepper pls. TURKEY, also needs lots more avocado, salt and pepper pls. And lots of dark red tomato slices would be Great! Why is even Safeway not snp seasoning Their sandwiches?! Sandwich prices are fair, for being sooo far out in the Sticks. If you wait this long and drive this far out, your choices are Few and Expensive, usually. The 2 guys were very polite and efficient with only 2 in store. No scary woman, TG. Oh, and no receipt. That always bugs me,,, later.

Totally unfriendly staff. My wife really didnt like her tuna sandwich and said it didnt sit well with her, though my meatball was fine (needed salt, and maybe some other spices). We paid $15 for two sandwiches and thats it; no chips or drinks or anything, and the sandwiches werent anything special, definitely not worth the price we paid. Based on other reviews, maybe youd do better with pizza slices or a burrito. Has a dingy DVD rental selection in the back and a run-down market inside. Also has some outdoor picnic tables.

Lady behind counter was unfriendly and very curt. This place has gone down hill in the last 18 momths. A single scoop of ice cream is $4.65. Was not organic or from a local farm...in fact, my son said it sucked. Went to farm house deli and for $3.50 got a waffle cone with local organic ice cream, that was twice as big and tasted fantastic...they also gave huge samples out for free of all the flavors. The class of people hanging out in this place is low. Wont be going back.

I had the vegetarian taco which was giant! You can have two meals with it. But it was flavorful and slightly bland in a good way. Usually I like it spicy but I enjoyed a lack of spice in this one. Ambiance/space: its cash only. There are lots of big tables for you to sit at and also tables outside. It is also a grocery store such makes it highly casual. If youre looking for something super clean and nice, this isnt it. But thats where its charm comes from.

Want a quick bite in Point Reyes? Stop at the Whale of a Deli--and get a slice of their Pizza--surprisingly good and just $2 a slice. Its totally traditional--cheese, pepperoni, hawaiian... I have friends who like this pizza so much they drive all the way out here just to get one to bring home. You can eat in or outside. Also good sandwiches and burritos. Not fancy--but good!

Awesome!! We end our annual camping trip at Samuel P Taylor State Park with a visit to the Whale Of A Deli. Pizza and ice cream are enjoyed and memories are made. Its a tradition!!

We had two great burritos. One pollo and one carnitas. Fresh and delicious. You can buy a beer out of the fridge to wash it all down. Best deal in the Point Reyes area.
