We went here for my moms birthday and the wait staff was really nice. They sang my mom Happy Birthday and stuff. However, I am only giving two stars because the food was absolutely awful, and even worse so because of the price tag. $16 for dinner, including for my six year old, who mostly ate dessert. I tried several of the food items, and I could barely finish most of it. The most palatable thing was salad and even that was just adequate. The salmon they were serving was literally hard and very fishy. The chicken in the sweet and sour chicken wasnt breaded and fried as it should be, it was just cubes of very dry chicken and it tasted more like fish than chicken. My favorite thing at buffet is usually the mashed potatoes and gravy, but the mashed potatoes at this buffet were really gross; they didnt even taste like potatoes. They were full of big pieces of peel, which is fine if its red potatoes, but not for regular potatoes with the tough peels. They were also very sticky, like glue, which I am guessing was because they were not at all fresh. I was hoping once I got to dessert there would be something that was yummy there, but sadly most of their desserts were pretty tasteless and their pecan pie was boring, and not worth eating. How the heck do you mess up on pecan pie? On top of the high price for the meal they forced me to pay a gratuity with my bill before I had even sat down. Im sorry, but thats not okay. It should be up to me to decide if I want to tip, based on service, not some ridiculous policy. Anyway, it was all pretty disappointing and I am not sure I will ever go back. If it were cheaper, it might be worth trying again, but I spent nearly $60 to eat there and it was barely edible. I could have gone to a nice restaurant and paid the same or a only a little more to have a decent meal. I understand that buffets arent top notch food, but they really need to rethink their food.

Only been to redhawk once before and wont go back . Wanted to take my wife to dinner. So I said lets try buffet at redhawk . I only live 25 minutes away. So as I go to pay for our meal . Using a debit card . The computer lost my transaction . It wouldnt print a receipt either . On my side it went through after signing verification . So as Im waiting about 45 minutes and still havent sat down . Other customers looking at us like we did something wrong . And ConnI the manager saying it may hv not gone through. People were trying to figure out where my 63 dollars went in there computer. We were treated badly like we had no money. I got my ATM. Receipt showed them I had money in the bank . So Im very angry by now . Hvnt eaten. Thirsty and my evening with my wife is ruined. They finally find my transaction and shows I Paid . Do that Im angry and my apatite is ruined. Now I want my money back . So she writes me a receipt. Not printed . How Un professional . Conni says computers have problems sometimes with attitude. Ummmm this place is 1 big computer I said and if you hv this small problem it makes it scary . I wanted 2 signatures on my written receipt so I can follow up making sure my money was back on the card . So basically because YOU cant figure your computer out . I was treated badly. Left hungry and angry when I did nothing g wrong on my part my money was there . Never offered a comp. For our inconvenience or anything . Basically a big screwing I got and a boot in the ass on my way out the door . WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. ILL DRIVE THE HOUR TO TAHOE

It was good. Not totally impressed. My husband was upgraded to platinum level so we went to the buffet. It took longer in the platinum line then the gold line. People even with us in the gold line when we first got there was seated and eating at least 10 minutes before us. Isnt being a higher level suppose to be a perk? The food was ok. It catered to more Asian then anything. I understand since the majority of the people in the casino is Asian. But for the rest of us, well, should be a little different. Does have a great dessert option. I dont eat salmon often and unfortunately it was dry and hard. The ribs was too sweet. Next time we will try the burgers.

The buffet is surprisingly awesome and the window seats have a spectacular view of the valley. The price is reasonable. Bonus: the buffet is on the first floor of the casino where no smoking is allowed. All the gaming equipment on the first floor is smoke-free too. Even the restrooms down there smell fresher instead of like an ashtray. With an 8-story parking garage, parking is easy too, plus it is free. Beware: during the week does not open until 11 a.m., closes at 2:30 p.m., then is only open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the line getting a table can be slow at peak times. Saturday it opens at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday it opens at 9:30 a.m.

(Sept. 19, 2011) Compared with both giant American Buffets, no compares: Waterfall Buffet food quality and taste is great. The place is very clean and neat, not clutter looks. Chinese egg rolls is not greasy, it very hot in temperature. I almost not able to detect any cigarette smoke in the dining area. If any one wanted to try higher quality buffet, come here, "Great-Value!" Im very surprise, berry pie isnt over sweet. My honest truth.

Im very happy with the floor staff such as the bussers. The people working behind the counters, kitchen folks could use lots of polishing & perhaps English lessons to communicate to All the customers. Some of the items that do not move look as though they have been a little too long. Great selection

Food was cold. Food was overly oily. Sushi was hard and old. Fish was the hard and cold. BBQ ribs were stale. Deserts were overly sweet and felt stale. Positive part was service and cleanliness for which they deserve the one star I gave.

Love this Buffet the only thing that they could approve on is the desserts very ordinary ice cream and cakes good prices and a lot of food for the money and its on the non-smoking floor
