The restaurant is large, the decorations beautiful. Some of the food was as good as their decorations, some was definitely not. Their Mac and Cheese tasted like it was yesterdays Mac and Cheese, and was simply reheated. Their Asian inspired food options were good, but when it comes to American food, they need help. Their pizza crust was as chewable as a brick is, and I already said what I think about the Mac and Cheese. Out of everything, their coconut shrimp and their custard pie (flan) are the only two things Im going to be in the mood for to return here. Their customer service needs help too. You greet your customers when they come in, dont just ask how many. You ask them if the seating option they gave you is fine. If you order a diet Coke, take the time to tell your customers you only carry Pepsi products. Dont just serve them diet Pepsi and expect it to be ok. And dont just throw the straws on the table. Have the courtesy to set them down. Its a beautiful restaurant, but Im not here to admire the lit up trees or the paintings or the chandeliers. Im here to eat and enjoy my food. Good customer service and a better cook will bring you more customers in the end. And please make the sushi look appetizing. The way they were made looked like who ever made them had been attending "Sushi 101" and flunked.

Lousy Customer service, Tables not wiped down, Employees making plates to eat instead of tending to diners. One employee looked like he didnt even speak English, I asked him what kind of soup was in front of me, just looked at me and ignored me, wore a shirt with a pit bull on it, so unprofessional. Food was OLD, rice was old, fried breaded shrimp was cold, worst chow mein ever, jello had hard sides to it, Hey Ivy you need to fire everybody cooking this so called "food" and also, you need to hire better people. Dont mean to be racist or anything but, to be honest people want talkative people not shy waitresses or waiter even cooks, honestly I hope you guys close down, go to the hibatchi in Merced and take some notes, that hibatchi is 10 times better. And for anybody else looking for Bomb ass Chinese food, go to Lis Kitchen in Modesto on Tully road, always fresh and excellent customer service. Dont even bother replying to this Ivy, all the reviews you replied to said you were going to make changes and make sure their next experience is better, but that was weeks and month ago I went on 11/15/16.

I eat there regularly. Its like a Vegas-style buffet-plenty of items and lots to choose from! The quality ranges from good-to-very good, everyone will find thier favorites. Nothing is bad, unless its not its freshest or been sitting a while. Some of the deep-fried items are noticeable when not replaced fast enough. Great for kids because theres everything from slices of pizza all the way down to desserts and ice cream. My favorite is the cook on hand to cater to your customized stir fry order - definitely make room for that! I always try to save a little room for some fresh fruit items as well. My experience is to get there just before 5pm for best seating before the crowd on Thur-Sat, but you will notice the food items get replentished more with hot and fresh food with the crowd. Thats when the food is best - so a crowd is a good thing. Dont worry theres plenty of seating to accomidate families without feeling too crowded. Kids will be fascinated by the indoor koi pond. I havent taken advantage of the lunch buffet yet, but the prices are a little lower then.

I very rarely leave bad reviews, but I felt this place warranted a warning. It was me, my husband, and our two kids, 9 and 3. We love the decorations, we go to grab our food... my kids found nothing but fruit to eat, I could barely choke down any of the few things I found that looked appealing, and even my husband who eats anything found limited options that looked appealing. The chow mein was squishy and oily, the fried rice was flavorless and most things were obviously left out way too long. The hibachi grill was okay, the only I found that I could tolerate eating. So were trying to eat, we look down at the floor, and there were COCKROACHES crawling at our feet. My husband killed one of them, another crawled off. I have never seen cockroaches at a restaurant before, so it was really unappetizing. We get the bill. $54. For what? Did we pay extra for the cockroaches? Ridiculous. Someone needs to call the health department, because that place is going to get someone really sick.

Been a while since weve been there. I forgot about the sushi bar. LOVED it! So many choices to select and very tasty. Thats all I had. I never remember the names, dang me. However, I recall my new favorite having bean curd. So refreshing and tasty. Funny how the first one I had didnt have much cream cheese, the my next trip to the bar, the one I chose had much more cream cheese, which I dont really care for. Also loved the eel rolls. Delicious! On a separate note, while I was washing my hands in the ladies room, a fellow patron and her child emerged from the stall and headed straight out without washing their hands. I and another patron in the ladies room were pretty grossed out. Just beware patrons, that not everyone is hygiene conscious so wash your hands constantly throughout your visits to restaurants, especially buffets. This woman and her child returned to the buffet. Yowza! Anyhoo, thank you staff at Hibachi! Great food, great service, and love those lit up trees!

So where to begin? Entrance filled with kiddo quarter machines, not appealing. Decor very not Japanese and very confusing onto its identity of standing out. Food, mediocre at best. Instead of a full on Japanese buffet you get a helping handful of Chinese and American food mixed in, very little Japanese. Sushi is left out giving it a hardening to it. Once finished, began to walk over to Rasputins and while looking for movies and music, my stomach began to sprang on the worst stomach pain/cramping I have ever had. Lasted for about 10-15min. I believe it was the sushi for being left out for too long. So advice do not eat the sushi.

Jumbo Buffet has changed their name to Hibachi Grill Buffet. I called the Hibachi in Merced, CA and asked if they are under the same owners/management however they are NOT! This buffet company are using some other restaurants good name. As for the food, they are one of the worst buffets in town. Their advertisement show that they have a myriads of food choices however, when I went they were lacking many of the items in their advertisements. The food was average at best. It did not have that authentic Chinese taste. Overall, I recommend you to go somewhere else for Chinese buffet food.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My 1 year old daughter accidently dropped a cup of ice and the lady in the front attitude changed. She would walk by and give dirty looks wouldnt give us napkins and we asked for a refil on a juice and they told us after they got it for us we need to pay for it after they charged 80+ dollars for a family of 5 which two of them were children. I told them I wasnt going to pay again for a juice so nevermind and we walked out. I will never return to this spot and if you have children I would decide on another place since they are not kid friendly.
