Out here on vacation and decided to check out Grill-A-Burger read that this was voted best burger in Palm Desert. You get a lot of food for the money. They are a little pricey for a burger joint. The burgers were $10- yes, just the burger. The fries are abourt $7 unless you get the chilli cheese fries those are $9 but in their defense 4 people could share the amout of chilli cheese fries you get. I got the tri-fry which is a combination of the natural cut fries, onion rings, and sweet potato fries for $7.50. Again enough fries and rings to share among 3 people. On the other hand, the milkshakes are not worth the $7. Neither the Root Beer Float worth the $7 cost. I ordered the vanilla shake and my daughter ordered the root beer float. She could not taste the root beer in the "root beer" float. I thought it was the vanilla shake with a sweet taste until the waiter brought me my vanilla shake and I tasted it and realized it was vanilla shake and the other indeed was the root beer float. Cook-Out on the East Coast have better shakes for about 1/2 the price.

I enjoyed the OMG burger. Burger patty itself was best Ive tasted in the desert, it was so flavorful. Top notch, unfortunately the toasted sesame seed bun fell apart, so I chose not to eat it. The burger price is high for the atmosphere ($14.95) and burgers dont include a side which is probably why their prices arent listed on their website menu. You can order fries for $6 but they charge extra for dipping sauce too. The booth was comfortable but the dining room chairs were super small as if for children and entire room smelled like fried oil. Reminded me of the smell that you cant remove. I would recommend if you want a tasty burger, just be aware that the prices are a lot considering the atmosphere. Reminded me a little bit of a video poker bar in Vegas without the video poker.. Also the menu is huge even though most burgers have similar toppings. Service was good.

Quite possibly the best burger Ive ever had! Went here last night for dinner on our way to a show at the McCallum. We searched yelp for places to eat eat near the theater, and sadly most were closed on a Sunday night. Thankfully fate sent us here. The service was fast and very friendly, even though place itself was packed. The menu is creative and the atmosphere is fun. Just the right touch when heading out for a fun night! The burgers were incredibly tasty and juicy, with an ample serving of the special sauces. I had the Ooh La La burger with caramelized onions and garlic aioli. The flavors just blew me away. My wife had the Bacon Me Crazy, and my folks shared the Patty Meltin. All were equally impressed. The portions are generous, in fact the four of us shared two sides. Cant wait to come back here!

I honestly dont know why this place has such high ratings. We had a terrible experience. Poor service, we werent greeted at the door at all and the waiter seems irritated when we asked for menus and napkins (we werent given any at all without asking for them) . Burgers were overpriced and worst than McDonald. I ordered the mini mushroom burger. Patty was tasteless, dry and overdone. Wouldnt be surprised if it was prefab frozen stuff bought from the market. The burger was tiny, slider sized. Buns werent toasted and were prob the cheapest at the supermarket. onions and mushrooms were not grilled at all. Def not worth the $5.50. We had to go to In n out afterwards to get the terrible taste of Grill a Burger out of our mouths.

A cute tiki inspired burger joint with so many variations of burgers you wonder how they keep track of them all. Is it the best burger Ive ever had? No. But it was pretty good and the prices are really reasonable. Their portions of fries are absolutely huge so make sure to share between two or you will be in a carb coma at the table. They have loads of different dipping sauces to try which was also really cool. The staff are really friendly and sweet! We had a lovely time there.

Went to lunch today. I was craving a good burger and I was definitely not disappointed. Great burger not over seasoned, many places over season to mask the flavor of subpar beef. I ordered the Pancho Villa buger absolutely delicious. The garlic fries rocked had to add a little salt but that was not a problem. The waiter was great, since it was my first time here he gave me some advice of the most popular burgers. I will definitely be back.

Never have eaten there & never will. Called to ask if they were hiring & a lady rudely answered talking to someone else when she then said hello I asked if they were hiring & she said they dont hire outside only within rudely. Its the businesses choice to not allow outsiders to even attempt to apply but she didnt have to be so rude about it because I didnt know. Never giving my business to this company EVER!!!

Ive eaten a lot of burgers in my time, some costing far more than here but this was the best burger Ive ever had. For $11. It was an incredible avocado BLT. Also polished off the huge bacon cheese fries because, well, they were too good to leave. The only place Ive ever wanted to go back again for breakfast the next day. Also probably the most calories Ive ever eaten in one sitting.

They have a wide range of unique and burger options which have not disappointed! This is the place to go for a burger in the desert. The service is attentive and do not leave you wanting anything. The decor is kitschy and follows the gorilla theme, but do not let that deter you. Overall a very good experience with great food!

I ate there on 8/9 at lunch. I met the owner and she was a hoot. My parents wanted me to get a burger there, but Fresh Fish Tacos were calling me. We dont get this kind of Fish tacos in Minnesota. Sorry I forgot to get pictures...I ate them too quickly. This place was the best place I ate at while visiting. Go there!

We had the Hawaiin burger which was super tasting, garlic fries that were to die for and a taco salad that was fantastic. If any one complains about price they should remember its not McDonalds people. The owner visited with us and she is a delight! You Must go and try this place

Usually the service is spot on. Little outta sorts today. But the food was great as usual and staff was very friendly as usual. Poncho Villa burger is awesome and garlic fries are a must. Busy at peak lunch times. Be patient in the parking lot - its a mess of a parking lot.

I was disappointed, the burger I had didnt taste all that great. I heard from a colleague it was "the best in the valley.." and that it received special recognition from people at the L.A. Times. Doesnt impress me one bit. Id rather go to Carls Jr. instead.

Went here several times last summer (2010) while on vacation from England with my family, and we were never disappointed. Clean place, friendly service and great choice of food. Excellent value for money. Lets hope thet keep this up - cant wait to return.
