We all enjoyed our meals and the handmade margarita with fresh fruit juices was tasty and refreshing. They were a little short-handed on a busy holiday but the young lady running the bar and the only one taking care of the floor did an amazing job! She was friendly and professional. The fish and chips were good, our teenager could only finish 1/2 his tri-meat burger, and the steak sandwich with house salad was outstanding! Great place to grab a bite in Nevada City!

As far as pub grub goes, this is the best Ive had in Nevada county (this includes a lot of restaurants too). They have turned simple Americana style favorites into a form of art. From something as simple as a cheeseburger, to fried mac n cheese balls, their execution is fantastic. You will not leave here hungry! Staff are friendly, table service is prompt, drinks are great! For a pub, these guys have knocked it out of the park.

One of three or four 5 star reviews I have given. After coming here for years and enjoying the beer, the grub and the atmosphere, I am more than comfortable giving this place 5 stars. Staff is friendly, chef is on point, and the place is cozy. Be smart and all the negative reviews are mute points. Love me some crazy horse

Came for a live music show, great music, nice dance floor, good atmosphere, very good veggie/vegan burger. Service on the bar could be much faster and prices could be a bit lower. But price for the music gig was very reasonable

This is the only place in town where the kitchen stays open until 11 p.m. They do a reliable job with hamburgers, pulled pork sandwich, nachos, the usual pub grub. A good selection of draft beers.
