The food was great, the servers were very nice and attentive, but the wait for drinks and food was honestly ridiculous. We waited almost 30 minutes for 2 drinks which were good, but we waited almost an hour for 10 wings, and some people came in almost an hour and a half after we did and they got served their food and drinks within 20 minuets of entering the building. We had to wait almost another 30 minutes for a second pair of drinks which unlike the first, consisted of almost all Vodka and Whiskey and nothing else. Almost got drunk off the second drink which, like i said, was almost all pure Vodka and not what i asked for. All in all, the atmosphere is great, the food is great, the staff is just as awesome, but the wait could use some improvement for food and drinks with time and consistency of the drinks.

Worst experience ever. The bartender was too busy laughing and joking. The server was talking and neither once acknowledged our presence. We had to ask for a menu, had to go up and order drinks, we asked about our ordered drinks to be told they have been sitting there. No one came to our table to take an order. No once did anyone say a single word. I was very upset. My boyfriend noticed that I was unhappy.... I told him pay ir Ill walk out, and if he tipped them, I would not speak to him the rest if the evening. We went another restaurant around the corner and that was the best experience. Not only the service impeccable but the food was incredibly delicious, beyond my expectations. So thanks for your rudeness and lack of customer service, it turned out to be such an amazing evening.

I went here for a special occasion and was very happy with our visit until it came time for dessert. I have a severe tree nut allergy, and so I asked our server to please double check the ingredients in the cheesecake I ordered. She left, came back and told me that there were no nuts whatsoever in the dessert. I took one bite and swiftly went into anaphalactic shock. There were walnuts or maybe hazelnuts in the crust. I had to take a massive dose of benedril and use an emergency inhaler because that lazy little brat didnt do what I asked. She was lucky I didnt press charges.

Went there a few times and the service sucks. We went for dinner and sat in the back room and were completely ignored. Finally got someones attention and they brought our drinks, but never brought us any refills. Food is nothing special. So unless its the only restaurant open, not worth my time. Decided to give them another chance, but alas.....no bueno. Ordered the greek chicken salad and the dressing has no flavor. The lettuce was crisp, but the tomatos were soggy and had no flavor. So I think I will avoid the fox from now on.

Firkin Fox is like a small but comfortable getaway that always reminds me of my college days. Comfortable laid back and staff that is mellow and cool. Great knowledgeable bartender and their food menu is hands down worth every tasty calorie. Nachos and burgers with a beer no contest. Lots of seating upstairs or down, TV to watch at the bar or comfortable talking environment in the back. They have a spot for everyone. Have a drink and walk to the theater a good combination for a relaxed afternoon.

Food & service were absolutely terrible. Fish & chips were so over salted/seasoned I couldnt eat it. The fries were stone cold. Salmon was way over cooked & about the size of a quarter. Five of us ordered & only 4 meals arrived. They "forgot" to cook my husbands burger. Some customers got up & left because the servers were standing around & not doing their jobs. I will never go to that place again.

Love the atmosphere, very casual with low lighting. Service was great, especially since I needed to change tables mid order, but the waitress was patient and understanding. Ordered the Chicken Marsala with Squash and liked it a lot. Not-too-salty pub food with ok prices. Bar has tons of great beers on tap for as little as $6 for a big glass. Food took a bit to prepare, but was enjoyable.

I showed up with the group about 12 people we spent alot of money in that establishment I went to order more drinks and they told us because we were all having too good of a time that they would no longer serve us drinks If youre looking to have a good time with the large group this is definitely not the place for you I would not recommend it.

Had the Swiss and mushroom burger. It was good but Ive had much better. Brother got onion rings and thru where dry and burnt. Frys where a bit salty. My white Russian was kinda weak. They lady that surved us was nice but her boobs where way out and off putting for a 40+ year old. Over all I might come back of I was pre buzzed.

THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN A FAVORITE DINING SPOT FOR ME. I LOVE❤❤❤ THE ATMOSPHERE, PROFESSIONAL SERVICE, FRIENDLY STAFF, GREAT FOOD AND DRINKS WITH GREAT PRICES. I STOP HERE EVERYTIME BEFORE HEADING TO THE GALLO CENTER FOR THE ARTS EVENTS, I HIGHLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE FOR A GOOD TIME

It was hot, so we popped in for a beer. The options were pretty wide, 12 beers on tap I think. And my beer was icy cold. They had inside seating and outside. We went ahead and set outside to have our beers, and we were pleased. We plan to stop in again next time we are in the area.

Went here on a Friday night and the service was horrible. One waiter acted like a total queen. A waitress was taking her time to help us. The food was over cooked. The food tasted like the grill wasnt clean. It looked cooked but the food had a burnt taste. Never coming back

Surprisingly awesome food, even for a more "pub" styled place. Rap genre music was playing the whole time (on a Wednesday) which is cool with me - but may not be for some patrons. Had the Chicken Wrap, which came with absolutely 3 lbs of fries. Cool place.

THE SERVICE HERE IS THE WORST!! with other restaurants nearby, dont even waste your time stepping foot in this place. the food is ok AT BEST, but the service makes this place an absolute joke. I get better service getting a hamburger from carls jr.

The beer selection was good. It took about ten minutes to get a beer. The bar tender was gone somewhere when we got there. The scenery was great lots of different age groups. Beer was $5.50 a beer. Not to bad for downtown modesto.

Great food and beer selection. Staff is friendly and professional. I ate the firkin famous burger and it was very delicious! Great place to hang with friends or my wife. Plus its located downtown with other things to do.
