I really dont recommend this place for Dim Sum. Its never very good here. The only thing on the Dim Sum menu worth getting is the Fried Milk with Crispy Almonds. I like that the fried coating is light, and the almonds provide a crunchy contrast to the silky milk. The roasted nuttiness of the almonds also enhance the milks creamy flavor. I dont really come here often, but when I do, itll be for some random family dinner. I normally find dinners at HKFL to be pretty mediocre at best, but dinner last night was actually pretty good. Its no Koi Palace dinner, but it probably was some of the best food Ive eaten from here. XO Sauce - Delicious! Theres less dried scallops and more dried shrimp, so its chunkier than other XO Sauces, but the flavor was still very savory and sweet. Theres a roasted flavor to it that made it bold and pungent. Im guessing that the garlic was roasted before mixing it in? Whatever it was, that XO Sauce was like crack. Soup - We had their Lai Tong, which is kind of like a soup of the day. Its always different, but last nights was really good. It was a vegetable and pork soup, and it had a developed, complex, and deep flavor. I could taste root vegetables, cabbage, pork, and just the right amount of ginseng bitterness to compliment the other sweet and savory ingredients. It also had a strong umami presence which let all the flavors really sink in. Surf Clam/Queen Clam/Hen Clam/That huge clam thats not Geoduck (Gwai Fay Pong) - I dont think Ive been to a Chinese place that served this without the shell. All the meat was piled on top of a bed of bean sprouts and garnished with the typical green onions and cilantro sprigs. The clam had a nice, sweet flavor, but the texture was softer than normal. The sauce tasted a little watered down also. I think I prefer having cellophane noodles on the bottom, and lots of garlic included with the garnish. This could have been better. Choy Sum with Mushrooms and Egg Tofu - The stir fried Choy Sum was cooked really well. The wok hei elevated its sweet flavor, and the savory brown sauce provided a rich, earthy base. Hong Long - I dont know the English name for this fish, but its Cantonese name translates into "Red Dragon". It looks like a red rockfish, but I cant really put my finger on it. Maybe Vermilion Rockfish? If someone out there knows, Id greatly appreciate it if you let me know. The fish was prepared two ways. The steamed tail side wasnt memorable, but the fish head clay pot was really good. The hot clay pot made everything sizzle and added a caramelized flavor to all the fish, mushrooms, tofu, and sauce. I think after last night, Ive found new respect for HKFL. Hopefully, itll be as good whenever I come here next time. Itll probably be a while. P.S. Do NOT get Australian Lobster here. Weve gotten one here before, and it was overcooked! Nothing is as heart-wrenching as having my favorite lobster rubbery. In the words of Darth Vader, "Nooooooooooooooooooooooo."

This is by far, the most horrible restaurant I went to. My family didnt want to go out to Chinatown so we decided to come here after seeing all the good reviews. However, we were given seats at the corner and the carts that carries the food around wont come over at all and the rest of the reasons are: 1.The people who pushes the carts would ask the tables AROUND us what they would like but not our table. 2. The workers (not all) who served us frowned when we asked them what they have in their carts and would say the names of the food or "I have things you ate moments ago." 3.It takes FOREVER for them to fill the tea pot with water even with the lid opened in front of them. 4. My mom wanted to order a plate of noodles so she waved her hand, and one of the worker saw her but thought it would nice to just FROWN , TURN and WALK away. 5. When we were almost done with the plate of noodles one of the worker( the one who seems to be in charge) came up to us and asked if we wanted anything else. We said no. She immediately took the paper with the markings of the different dim sum we got WITHOUT asking to the cashier. Like seriously? I know its almost time for the next shift but at least tell us. 6. The food isnt that good either. I dont know if its just my family who received such terrible service or what. We did nothing to anger anyone there so Im guessing its because its our first time there since i saw many workers talking to the other people who eats there like friends. This is my experience, I am not telling people not to go, I am just telling my experience here. Needless to say, there is no way am I going back.

Wow... Some of the people on here must be mad that Hong Kong Flower Lounge doesnt have diamond crusted dim sum carts. On behalf of HK Flower Lounge, I apologize they didnt have chop sticks made out of gold or they didnt serve your whiny butt on a silver platter. This is a review on Dim Sum. I went today and it was amazing. My favorite thing about HK Flower Lounge is all the rarities they have such Durian Turnovers as well as the regulars like Custard Buns (Li Wong Bao), Pork Buns, (Chau Siu Bao) and Sticky Rice (Lo Mai Guy). Food was good, service was good and we got lucky and found parking. They treated every table around us with the same great service, despite so many comments on here that race is an issue. Give this place a chance, try to get their early as it was packed on Sunday at 1:00PM and you wont be disappointed. They dont have parking for your private yacht or landing for your private jet. Sorry.

This Chinese restaurant is conveniently close to the SFO airport and can seat many people on the lower and upper floor. Free parking is available under the building in the parkade. I attended a Chinese banquet dinner and found the food to be average and nothing special. The service was not good though for a couple reasons. We called months ahead to reserve high chairs for the infants but didnt live up to their promise. They did bring one in later on during the banquet though. Some of the staff were not that helpful when food was bussed. One time unfinished food was taken away from a guest without question. Another time unfinished food was distributed to all guests plates without question to clear up the table. This was not good for those who have allergies. Also the banquet prices seemed to be on the higher side compared to other Chinese restaurants Ive ate at.

This was the worst wait I had ever experience. I got there at 6:30 pm. They told that it would be 10 to 15 min to get a seat but it took them 35 min to get a seat. That was okay with me. I was a little irritated to see other people who came in late and got their seats before me. Once I got seated, they got my order right away. But my food never came for more than an hour. They kept saying that they so busy that my food would take a while. I should had left but I kept waiting and waiting because I did not want go to another restaurant and wait again. The service was not great and the price was expensive. The food are typical in any other Chinese restaurant. In this case, you are paying for the nice view. When I left the restaurant, it was 9:15 pm. No one ever apologized for the service.
