This place has been in the neighborhood for many years so for some people its nostalgic. I wouldnt consider this Italian food. Think hospital cafeteria, everything tastes as if could be canned and it is not cheap its actually kinda pricey.Dinner is about $30.00 a person. There is no parking in a place with very limited parking. The lack of parking is a big one there are usually 3 meter maids that patrol this area so getting a $73.00 parking ticket is almost inevitable. This is a pretty safe place as you will see during lunch there are groups of LAPD, Sheriffs, LADOT, MeterMaids, it often feels like a cop convention. So you will be safe, however there will be no parking because all the patrol cars take up the spots, so I if you must come here, come for dinner not for lunch. Not a date place , so dont bring your date here she will may be upset. The place has an old school feel a kin to a cafeteria. The prices are high for what it is. The walls are the hilight of this place.

My girlfriend has been coming here for years. I also bought a groupon once, forgot about it and came back almost a year after to just order food for the money that was paid for the Groupon but they still honored the Groupon deal almost a year after it expired. I was shocked. Groupon was for dine-in. We even asked if we could get it take out. They said no problem. While we waited for our food, they even brought me a glass of complimentary wine. I was beyond impressed by the customer service that visit. Have ordered take out numerous other times because we live a couple blocks down and it has always been great. Pizza Rosa is delicious. Everything is reasonably priced and you get large portions. Amazing family operated place.

I use to live within walking distance to Palermos and ate there at least twice a month, probably for two years. It was my favorite restaurant then and it is still in the top tier all these years later. The best part of a visit was the owner, Tony, who would ply us with free wine because the place was so popular the line would be out the door and all over the sidewalk. This evening we had no line but were treated to outstanding tiramisu after my usual order: ravioli with Tony Sauce. Everything was, as usual, outstanding. And seeing Tony again after all these years - not even looking any older - an over the top treat!

Went here on Sunday with my fiance and my cousin. There food was amazing! I got fettuccine Alfredo and added garlic, onion and mushroom inside how I like it and then we also got a pizza. Both plates were perfect and so tasty. There garlic bread taste fresh. I would say this happens to be the best service Ive had eating in Los Angeles since Ive moved here 3 months ago. There service was perfect refiils as soon as your done with your drink, plates cleaned off as soon as they see your done , and they make sure you have everything you need including napkins. Cant wait to go back for some for fettuccine

The place is ok, but the younger cashiers can be sorta racist towards younger blacks. I saw a black dude come in and order a slice of pizza (total wouldve been less than $4.00) and the cashier said "Uhhh, just to make things easier, can you pay up front?" Black dude wasnt dressed thuggish or anything and he was very polite about the whole thing. The reason I know this was weird is because me and my uncle had JUST ordered the same thing like 3 minutes earlier, and we didnt have to pay up front.

Palermo is a decent local Italian restaurant. A long time fixture of the neighborhood, the food here is ok but nothing that will blow your mind. Service is ok (its better if youre a local and the staff knows you) bit can get real slow when the place is busy. Everyone says to get the Pizzarosa, which is good advice as it is super tasty. Personally, my favorite thing about this place is the to go pizza slices, which come out quick and are perfectly sized for a tasty grab and go meal.

I have been here a couple times. Although I moved from LA a few years ago, their Pizzarosa has had a lasting impression. Palermo is a place to take you family or a date. You cant go wrong here. The atmosphere gives an impression of a family place, not a corporate feel like many other Italian restaurants. Theres normally a line for dinner (at least when I have gone), so call to make a reservation. There a large selection of wine you can browse while you wait for your table.

Delicious food for a great price. Went here for happy hour and although their fire oven was not working :( still had a wonderful experience. Ordered the burger and requested medium cook. Usually restaurants overcook...not here! Meat was tender and flavorful. Also ordered the tarot tots which were yummy. As for drinks, the Moscow mule was delightful. Overall great experience and would highly recommend it to others. Cant wait to go back and try different items on their menu.

Our family has been consistently dinning here for over 20 years and during that time we have greeted by the same smiling, host/hostesses, servers and bartenders welcoming us with open arms and smiles. There are not many places that you can say that about. We absolutely LOVE the vibe and the comfort of the place and not to mention that the staff treats our family as if we are apart of theirs. If you want the absolute best pizza in LA this is your place!

I came here for a valentines date with my friend. The service was amazing and the food was incredible. Our waiter provided us with recommendations for drinks and food. We were also given several baskets of freshly made bread. We ordered 2 drinks, 2 apps and 2 entrees and left very full with leftovers! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to try an upscale Italian restaurant in CA. the service and food were worth it!

We ate there a couple weeks ago and they were so sweet and accommodating. I woild liked to have had one of their many vended bottles of wine with dinner but there was still a $10 corking fee. (Not the menu wine just their collection in the foyer). It was a bit loud, but the intimate feeling and interesting photos created a nice atmosphere... and what do I expect, dining at an authentic Italian joint, huh?

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Italian is a strong comfort food for me, and they have excellent gluten free options (not just the ubiquitous ziti). The red clam sauce is addictive. The service has always been warm and friendly, even when theyre super busy. Theres a valet parking lot in the back, free with validation, which is good, because parking in the neighborhood can be challenging.

I came here with my girlfriend the other day and it completely blew us away. The food was amazing and the service even more so. The workers were very friendly and showed that they really do care about the customers. We have not have a better dining experience than we did here. The overall atmosphere is wonderful and the decorations are very nice. If you decide to dine here you will not regret it.

Cute independent Italian restaurant. Although it seemed like there were more employees than patrons present at the time of my visit. I ordered the "works" specialty pizza - minus the anchovies. It was delicious but when you order a pizza with that many toppings, the pizza can become a bit soggy. Overall, a good pizza in a cozy (as another yelper also described) place.
