The prices are in line with L.A. standards, expect to pay around $12-$15 per person for lunch. I opted for the "blue plate special" which was a half sandwich and a side salad (lots to choose from) or one of 2 daily soups. I opted for a Chicken MBT sandwich and curried cous cous salad. My sandwich was fresh and flavorful and had shaved chicken breast, fresh mozzarella cheese, delicious marinated red peppers, basil pesto, tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, greens on ciabatta. The bread and tomatoes were nothing special but the ingredients were incredibly high quality, especially the pesto and balsamic (I will ask for extra next time)! The portion size of the sandwich was just right. The curried cous cous side was huge, like a large deli portion. I ate about half of it and kept the rest to have later. I thought my lunch was a decent value at $11. The ordering process was simple and efficient. Once I had ample time to peruse the menu, a friendly employee helped take my order on an iPad. I was given a pager and was told that once your pager buzzes, you head to the pickup counter, grab your bag, then proceed to the cash register to pay. It took about 6 minutes for my pager to buzz. I jockeyed for a spot in the register line (dang Angelenos busted in front of me TWICE!), but I finally got a chance to pay. The restaurant is located in the middle of a large group of high-rise offices, so the line can get pretty long but the kitchen is fast and they are adept at handling the rush of takeout orders. There are a few tables inside and a couple outside in the courtyard thats shared with the neighboring Starbucks. I really enjoyed my lunch here and I will definitely stop back by when Im in downtown Los Angeles again.

Why are there 3 of these in the same area? Anyways, this location is the best to find parking in crowded downtown. There are meters on its lateral side on flower and 5th. Expensive though!! $4 for an hr? Ouch! Order by phone for pick up to avoid the crazy lunch lines. Gotta try the pork belly banh mi of course. Save room to sample the "salads" aka side dishes. You can add one to your sandwich for $2.95 or buy it individually for $3.95. Ive tried the steak BLT and it was alright. I requested for a pretzel bun during a nonbusy time and I got the normal bun. Even though there was no line it still took them 20 minutes to make my sandwich. When Im paying $1 for 15 min of parking, time is freaking money!!! I didnt ask to replace the pretzel bun for the fear of waiting another 20 minutes. My boo got the not so fried chicken. Pretty good. Liked the egg salad in it & the BBQ sauce on the side. The bread became rock hard the next day though :( Sad to say that I liked the sides more than the sandwiches. I got the curry couscous- very earthy with a hint of spice. Pasta was fluffy. Loved the addition of cauliflower to give it that crunch. Spinach balsamic onion- I love balsamic anything haha. This entire meal cost $35?!?! Not worth it. With the lack of available parking, hefty amount for a sandwich that doesnt fill me up, and the inability to even fulfill an order during a lax time, I give this particular establishment 2 stars. Ooh I got the pork banh mi last time and it was good. I can see how people are in love with it BC theres not any other banh mi remix in the westside. But my heart still belongs to numpang in NY - best banh mi remixes EVAR

This outpost of a favorite of office workers everywhere is in the bright, busy 7th&Fig complex. This one serves alcohol and is actually open past lunch until early evening for dinner! The lunch crowd is filled with the corporate workers from the area, especially from the two towers bordering the complex. The food does not disappoint and truly worth the wait. Servers are always friendly and bright. The Pork Belly Banh Mi was filled with juicy chunks of soft delicious morsels of braise pork, a good match to the crunchy tartness of the pickled cucumbers and carrots. Unlike the traditional banh mi, its all served in a toasty panini rather than baguette. A nice upgrade might be to add some buttery spread to this yummy sandwich!

When it comes to sandwich spots, Mendocino is in a league of its own. Neither deli nor hoagie shop, their artisanal approach to samiches could actually be eye opening for those accustomed to Subway, Quiznos, and the like. Granted, its a good $3-5 more expensive, but you certainly get you what you paid for. My personal faves are the Bahn Mi and Prosciutto & Free Range Chicken sandwiches. The Chinese Chicken Salad is also one of my go-tos. Ive been to both locations in DTLA (Figat7th and Flower). Both have equally friendly staff and wait times are generally the same despite lunch rush lines extended out of the building oftentimes. If youre in a crunch for time, this is the location to hit.

The boss Pre-ordered boxed lunches for a work event. Mine was a special request for gluten free due to a wheat allergy. Box was marked GF. Sandwich was delicious with GF bread. Even had an oatmeal cookie in the box, which I ate. Realized about 15 min later, when I started wheezing the cookie was not GF. Later I did call the shop and was told they do not have GF cookies. Just think M Farms could have noted that on the box or even omitted the cookie, in light of the GF request. I know a lot of people are GF for dietary reasons, but there are many of us that have allergies and request GF for health reasons.

Hi!. My name is Arvin. My friend and I just recently dined at MF Flower the other night and I very much enjoyed our dining experience. What is nice about MF Flower is their gracious host name Tiffany. Tiffany is both professional, knowledgeable and makes sure each customer have a nice dining experience. I order the Vegan Banh Mi. The sandwich didnt turnout to what I expected. Im allergic certain Tofu and Tiffany took back the sandwich and returned with a better sandwich to liking. It was done with no fuss. She has a great attitude and gives everyones dining experience a personal touch. Thank you, Tiffany.

This is my favorite spot for a sandwich in DTLA. They have 3 locations in downtown and all of the are consistently great but this location I feel has a slightly better product, but the location on Fig/7th has the best customer service. You really cant go wrong with anything but I personally love the Farm Club and Not So Fried. The ice tea is great too. The line is 20 people out the door after about 11:30am for lunch so I like to get here early. Seating can be limited if you come later but there is a nice outdoor courtyard which is shaded in the summer and gets a lot of sun in the winter.

I have a love/hate relationship with this Mendocino Farms. The interior layout is wonky, and the lines border on the edge of ridiculous. The sandwiches are great, but theyre clearly priced higher than their true value - but once you take a bit you want another! Due to the layout, things can get a little funky inside, especially as you all huddle together waiting to pick up your food. Overview - great sandwiches, high priced, funky waiting area.
