its December 12, 2014 8:50 my two regrets tonight is 1) going to this restaurant instead of the other one and 2) not taking pics of this experience (it was about almost half empty) I just left the restaurant with my family (7 adults we had the corner with the two tables in front of the bar) let me start by saying that Ive been to the other la parrilla on Wilshire and had high hopes it was going to be the same on both service and food I got totally let down they took our food order first left to place it and about five mins if not more got to place our order for drinks and we are right in front of the bar ok, usually they bring you a little cup of soup we didnt get any but the people that came after us sure did, they brought us the two queso con chorizo we ordered with a few tortillas just for one of our tables and no plates, they brought my chicken and asada fajitas on the Comal and my sisters coctel de Camarones and after ten mins I finally got my plate (with rice and beans) and tortillas while everyone else is just watching for another 10-15 mins my chicken and asada fajitas (which I always order in the other one) it all tasted kind of burnt pretty much no flavor on it at all my sisters coctel de Camarones was horrible the shrimps look like when you have your fingers in water for too long all wrinkly and tasted just as bad my soda nor my tortillas never once got refilled once or got asked if I needed a refill, the other thing that was annoying me was a kid asking me to buy him some candy twice before my food came and after I ate my food when I was really craving something sweet to get the taste out of my mouth the kid was no where to be found another thing they usually have music; a dj, mariachi, or groupo playing but over here they had guys walking around table to table selling songs for $10 overall this experience was horrible and hopefully nobody else has to go through this same experience and if anybody has gone through this Im personally recommending you the one on Wilshire you will be way happier I promise you that

I had a simple order of beans, eggs, and bacon, but somehow they managed to mess that up. To get a simple appetizer of sals and chips it took more than 10 ten minutes, another ten f, order for drinks, five to get them, and another 10 minutes to order My food. I recieved a small flat layer, and yes a flat layer, of beans, half the size of a tic tac. I only got 1 scrambled egg even though I said sunny side up and the description of the plate clearly said eggs, not to mention that my bacon was as hard as the chips it took so long for them to get. I am a frequent costumer and hold nothing but this against the restaurant, but today was an acception. On regular days, this may have a chance of being well, but as for this visit, I cannot say the same. What I can say is always the same is the staff attitude. Every time I asked for more Orchard or a spoon and fork, she would always walk away as fast as she could to nothing, she didnt leave to another table or to the kitchen, she just walks off and stands. But the worst example of just not caring about a job was when I asked for more beans and she just said to get some from a friends plate. Many things are wrong with this statement. First of all its a persons duty as a waiter to satisfy and tend to a costumers every need to make sure that he or she has a good experience at the restaurant. Second of all, why would the waiter mind if I get more beans or not, they are not the ones who pay for the food. This person is mentioned in many comments and should be FIRED SOON PLEASE. If this business is to thrive, this person needs to be let go. This restaurant may have been good in the past, and it can be as long as this woman is let go. All who agree please like this comment and comment the same thing on your own.

I like the food but some of the ladies working here seem like they have something stuck up their butt. They dont smile or greet you at all. Its stressful just sitting here because the atmosphere is horrible. Weve been here a long time ago but havent been back til now to give it another chance and the service is still bad. Not once were we asked if everything was alright and we had to call the lady over to ask for refills even though they seen our cups empty and we had barely got our food. They also charge for everything. Literally, we asked for more of those chips you get with salsa that they give for free and they charged us for that. Another reason we didnt come here is because last time they had asked us if we wanted guacamole but didnt tell us they charge for it and it was a few cents short of $10(we were told about $9.92). By the way you only get a little bit so its not even worth getting. You might as well get another plate of food for what you pay. Parking here is absolutely the worse Ive ever seen. If you do get an open spot you better have amazing driving skills and a small car or you wont be able to pull it off. I would advise against coming here if you dont want to be paying a lot.

I was truly do disapointed with the food. As a Mexican I must say this is not authentic Mexican food, give me a break for those that have written reviews stating otherwise, that is truly an insult, first off the chips were extra fried & extremely saturated in grease, the guacamole dip was salty & bland, Mexicans are serious about their guacamole dip, how can they mess up an appetizer? So at that point I was expecting the worst, I ordered the enchiladas de queso dish & it was truly bland, the enchilada sauce is not home made, my dish was just blah. Plus the service was horrible, my waitress had a terrible attitude & never once checked up on me. This place is truly overrated do not waste your time. La Casita Mexicana in the city of Bell is truly authentic as everything there from mole sauce to tortilla chips are delicious & packed with flavor, another good place to eat real Mexican food is La Serenata De Garibaldi in East La.

I love the food. After I kept going to this other pancake and eggs places for breakfast I told my husband I feel like eating a real Mexican breakfast. My mother suggested La Parrilla. We hadnt been there in a while but have been customers for over 20 years. We went on a Sunday morning and we are now there almost every weekend. I love the guacamole!!!!!!!!!! Made with HASS avocados only!!! Delicious! I have taken my coworkers there and it was a big hit as well. All the waitresses there are amazing. My cup is half empty when they are asking if I would like so more and if everything is ok. I even know some of them by name because they are always smiling and kind and have been there for some time now. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone. If for any reason you do not like something I would think its as easy as letting them know and they will fix it, not that I ever had to.
