I just ran over for take out close to my rental and my latina loving carne asada taco self is beyond happy. i am purist and just like cilantro and onion this has guac. ( oh noooooo, ahaha still delicia) . extremely good, extremely nice, extremely perfect. i am moving to LB because of this place :D. they even gave me enough lime, never happens ;) and all the take out people waiting were so freakin nice too. the regular restaurant looks amazing too and a quaint lil bar for next time. mil gracias y suerte!

When I asked a friend of mine who lives in the Mission where he thought the best tacos in town were, he sent me here. Many misguided people think La Taqueria has the best tacos. Theyre wrong. The little bar up front at Taqueria Vallarta has the best tacos in the city. Juiciest flavorful meats, perfectly cooked corn tortillas, and simple salsa bar. A must-go-to for lunch or dinner, and great place to take out-of-town guests to give them a real flavor of the Mission.

Been going there for 30 years. All those years ago I had a favorite waiter named Jose. When I was there yesterday, I noticed the waitress talking to the manager who looked familiar. Asked her if his name was Jose. Turns out hes now the manager has 4 grown children and its the on place hes ever worked. Hes part of the family now. The food is good too.

Disappointed by the Cinco De Mayo celebration. I was sent an email about drink specials from 7-9 pm but got here at 7:15 and told that the regular happy hour was over. No mariachis, no drink specials just girls encouraging tequila shots. People were mostly frustrated about waiting for a table, food and drinks. I should have gone somewhere else.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. Whenever I am in LA I make the trip to Long Beach for my favorite Carne Asada Tostada. And their chips and cheese are to die for. Great food, friendly staff and awesome atmosphere!! I will definitely make the trip every time Im in town!

Ive been coming to this restaurant every time Im in town for the past decade. Theyve never let me down. The food is always good, the plates are burning hot so the food stays warm. Flavors are good. Service is fast. Prices are reasonable. Its a nice place to dine.

Super Mex is a great place to grab some drinks and food in a relaxed atmosphere. Their chips are entire tortilla rounds! I had the vegetarian burrito...it didnt disappoint. Super yummy with enchilada sauce on top.

Food is pretty good, but there are better options. They "upgraded" the tables and chairs and that was the worst thing they could have done. The chairs are the most uncomfortable youll find in a restaurant.

Out of all the Mexican places I tried while I was in the Long Beach area, this was hands down the best. Had the Enchiladas, Mexican Rice, and Beans. Also tried the beef tacos there. Everything was GREAT!

Honestly, the best part of my meal was the appetizer, the mini chimis. Stuffed to the max with chicken and beef, served with guac and sour cream. The beef enchiladas were just ok. Ive had better.

Good luck on parking close to Super Mex. The food was okay, and was priced decently. I would recommend trying out Los Compadres. They are priced the same with better food.
