FOOD: Premium Spicy Miso with Pork and Egg, Spam Musubi (munchies) Once you get over the delicious aroma and the immaculate presentation, slurp up the goodness of the spicy miso! The Miso is SPICY, which is fantastic if you can handle it. Gosh, that Miso broth is to die for. I felt tempted to take my remaining broth home to pour over my instant noodle packets for the next day. Seriously, that good of Miso! The noodles are just the right size, not too thick or thin and the pork was masterfully seasoned. They add a soft boiled egg, which was not necessary and didnt add much to the already tasty dish. If youve got the munchies, order the Spam Musubi. They are the daintiest version of spam musubi Ive tried, looking like a fancy hors doeuvre, but yummy nonetheless. DESSERT: Chibi toast I had seen the beautiful pictures, but wasnt sure of the actual taste. Literally tastes like deep fried, buttered french toast. The toast comes with an assortment of fresh fruit (mango, strawberries, and kiwi) as well as matcha ice cream and whipped cream. The dessert takes 20 minutes to prepare, so if youre interested, order with your entrees. It is very different and I appreciate a change from creme brûlée or other generic desserts. DRINKS: Crystal Blue Lemonade and Honeydew Milk Tea Both drinks are well made and served in cute mason jars. If youre avoiding dairy, try the lemonade which is highly refreshing. For my dairy drinkers, you can choose your milk tea with whole, regular, or silk milk and the honeydew is a nice touch. ATMOSPHERE: 5 Stars No sooner than we entered the restaurant, we were warmly greeted right away and got to choose any table. The restaurant uses its limited space very wisely with a bench seat running against the wall and a long counter. There are several tables in the middle and cute decorations. Korean music videos in the background will keep you entertained while you wait for the food. Yes, its true, Hollywood offers a great deal of highly rated restaurants, but this place definitely is a serious contender!

This tiny, unassuming, yet cute Asian restaurant offers some pretty unique dishes you might only ever find in a Japanese anime and the vibe positively screams K-Drama, complete with Asian music videos playing on the TV. The menu is modest, but packed with enough flavor and uniqueness that youd be hard-pressed to find something you dont absolutely want to try at least once. Being an avid anime lover and Korean Drama watcher myself, (dont tell anyone), there are a few things on the menu Ive always wanted to try but have never found anywhere else, such as the famous Japanese OmuRice, which is a soft, fluffy omelet served with fried rice & ketchup. Its... interesting; definitely on the sweet-savory side, and so packed with protein & carbs, this meal practically pays for itself. Its good. Try it. Their Kimichi Fried Rice is also really popular- It comes with your choice of meat, chicken, or mushrooms, and packs a hell of a lot of flavor from the fermented cabbage. If you love kimichi, this beast is for you. It being an Asian joint- totally not being racist here- you know the desserts will be taken to the next level. Their Bread Pudding, served with vanilla bean ice cream, just made Yelps list of best Bread Puddings in LA. Its a meal in & of itself, but definitely worth splurging on the calories. It takes decadence to the next level. Forget the food, and just eat this if you have to. Its worth it. The rest of what they offer is great, too, but first-timers should really go for the local favorite, and that OmuRice is something else. The ramen- also good. Whatever you choose, it will be oishii! That means "delicious" for you non-anime watchers, out there.

Chinensis? Shybiscuits? Kidiscus? Chibiscus is an Asian Fusion restaurant thats quaint (code for tiny) with free parking in a small private lot. In LA? Thats unheard of! After a fun & exhausting day touring LA, we needed to fuel up our bodies with some nourishment. A quick phone search later & Chibiscus became our next destination. I havent had ramen in awhile, so my order was the Chibiscus Tonkatsu Ramen. After a short wait, I had my hot bowl of ramen in hand. Thick, delicious broth with a perfectly cooked egg. Noodles just the right consistency. The pork slices were tender & I slurped my soup down to the very last drop. My friends let me have some of their Kimchi Fried Rice. A good sized portion with a runny egg on top, the dish was a little salty for me. This coming from a guy that usually tolerates things on the salty side. Great flavor, though. If youre looking for something sweet, various boba teas/smoothies/lemonades are available at your leisure, with some being organic. Service was good. Our waters were refilled timely, and we had our food within a reasonable amount of time. Seating is minimal, with maybe enough for 20 or so. As previously stated, parking is free if its available. Anyone that knows me, knows I hate having to pay for parking. We all left with happy bellies Chibiscus, I enjoyed dining at your establishment. The ramen was on point, with good service and competitive prices. Matter of fact, all this ramen talk is making me feen for it now. Slurp! Highly recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNO

Wow super unimpressed. Over hyped. Restaurant is tiny so with very limited seating. Service was okay. We ordered tonkatsu Ramen, spam masubi, kimchi fried rice, and a lemonade. My favorite thing we ordered was the lemonade. It was refreshing, light, and a little sweeter than it was bitter. The Ramen was eh OK. There are so many other Ramen places; the Ramen here doesnt even compare. The spam masubi was abysmal. The spam to rice ratio way off in favor of the rice with the rice falling off. The rice was loosely packed making it difficult to eat. The spam was burnt. The size was awkward. The sauce was missing something. The kimchi fried was decent and almost close to one you could get in ktown. Will I come back....? Hm, maybe... to try the desserts.

This is a cute place in Hollywood that offers ramen, Asian snacks, drinks and desserts. :) AMBIANCE: Casual. They have about 6-8 tables and a few barstool seats. SERVICE: Nice, friendly service. DRINK: *Green milk tea - Good! I liked the flavor of the tea. Not the best that Ive had but its nice to be able to complement my ramen with milk tea. FOOD: *Spicy Miso Ramen - Tasty! I liked the flavor of the broth. The slices of pork were nicely cut and had a good flavor. The ramen was also done well. PARKING: Small parking lot. Yay for free parking! If theres no spaces, they have meters on the street that are free after 6pm. If Im ever in the area, I would come back again. :)

There are a bunch of Ramen joints popping up in this area, and after loving the place across the street until they changed owners, we found this place. IT is the best one, the selection, the richness of the broth, and all the other little bites they offer including bubble milk teas and such. Service is also great. Nom Nom Nom! Couple things to note: it is a small place so i imagine it could get packed at peak times, we always try to avoid that, so we have never had a problem, also, parking may be an issue the lot in from serves quite a few stores and is usually full.
