DOGZ use to be a place I would go to with my friends and family to go out, grab a drink and enjoy the comradery of others. Being a neighborhood bar this is the type of place you would hope that you could go to and be safe. Unfortunately over the last year this place has gone downhill and after this past weekend I will NEVER step foot in this bar again. I hope all the citizen of LONG BEACH NEVER step foot in this bar again. The fact that a bouncer can go in the back alley and JUMP a patron is completely uncalled for. THE WORST part, this bouncer kicked someone in their head to the point of them being unconscious. I dont care how "drunk" or "annoying" someone maybe, your JOB as security is to PREVENT incidents like this from happening. There is no way to justify such behavior!! Truly heartbreaking to hear that such an event can happen at a placed I loved. Definiately lost some customers and be safe if you are there anytime after 10pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stopped by Dogz after a Sunday lunch with some friends and unfortunately, I was sadly disappointed. The place smelled, not of anything rancid, quite the contrary, more of strong cleaning supplies. For my taste, just not a pleasant environment to enjoy a drink. The drinks themselves left much to be desired as well, my girlfriends margarita tasted like rotten limes. Luckily, theres plenty of other places to get a drink in the area.

Worst service ever. The server forgot my drink til after I received my food and I had to remind her then she said she was still half asleep and she forgot. She was too busy flirting with the guys at the bar and was not attentive at all. When we finally got our food after waiting for so long It was cold and our order was wrong.

Worst experience of my life, one of the bartender girls was very impolite, rude, disrespectful, and insulting, almost felt as if she was being racist. No one has ever made me feel that way, I will never go back to Dogz because of her. Shes a blonde with green eyes and tattoos, dont tempt her, shes ill mannered.

Thought we would have a fun outing with the boys and the dog. Very unfriendly atmosphere. Have to wait for waiter and when she came she started taking a different tables order that had just sat down. The table was also dirty and we asked for it to be cleaned which was never done. We had to do it ourself.

This bar is LOUD. If you do not like the loud atmosphere dont come here. For me, it was perfect. We sat and watched NFL and grubbed on some delicious hot dogs and sausages. They have very decent happy hour/daily deals. I will be back!

IMO this is the most "College" bar on Second st. A lot of near 21 year olds here in the night time. I did get the feeling like some guys were sizing me up here.... Its alright though. Not as bad as Main St HB.
