Great dining experience all around. Excellent food and friendly and attentive service. I almost didnt go in as a first glance at the menu, the prices seemed high. However, I went in anyhow and the food was absolutely fresh and delicious. If you pick and choose, there are plenty of cheap options for the low budget diner. The portions are generous and the food was really good. I have had Greek food in San Francisco and it was good, but the food at Akropolis had its own distinct flavor. Old favorites with a new twist. I really liked it. Give them a try.

Had pizza margharita. Pizza is not round, so a third of what you expect is missing. Is basically stuff put on a flat bread. It looks/tastes like the guy would precook the pastry in the ofen and than just throw studf on it as needed to be faster, otherwise I cannot explain. At least tomatoes and mozzarella seemed to be fresh, ltoufh way too much mozzarella on it. Waitress seemed to be surprised when I told her this is not a Pizza. Price 12$. You can get worse and better "pizzas". But it is disappointing that they all it pizza.

This place is great for delivery. I decided to get delivery from these folks today and was quite impressed with the quality and amount. Im so used to this neighborhood skimping out on stuff. I got really decent sized sandwiches from here and Ive always enjoyed them. Will order again for sure if I ever work in the area again! Oh! and the ribbon fries are neat. Google it if you dont know what that is and that might make you interested all in itself. Its kind of a cross between potato chips/crisps and fries.

Gyros n steak fries on the peninsula. Greek food and pizza... I recommend biking in if parking is full. Service is very nice, professional and yet relaxed. Ive been a half dozen times at peak or slow periods and my food always comes up promptly. Consistent quality too, nod to the back of the house. I like the atmosphere and the craft beer selection is pretty good too. Mahalo guys ;o)

Excellent location, steps from the beach. Servers are attentive and friendly. Food is excellent, Great prices! I always order the gyro platter. I do wish the restaurant was a bit cleaner, the first time I was here, I sat on oil which left a wonderful stain on my butt, tables are not always cleaned off immediately after guests leave. Other than that, I highly recommend this place!

Always wanted to try this place so we had a pizza delivered this afternoon via uber eats. Extremely disappointing. Crust tasted and looked like it had been purchased from the store, ingredients tasted low quality and the tomatoes were not ripe. Could have been bad luck, but we certainly will not be ordering from here again and wouldnt recommend others to do so

Amazing food, and great costumer service! The shift manager was so happy and polite and really made us feel important and taken care of. My brothers order got messed up and he loved the gyro that they brought out on accident, and they also made him the right sandwich as well and gave it to us for free. Highly recommend!!

Amazing gyros and the Greek pizza with the gyro meat was absolutely amazing! The waitress was extremely friendly and made the experience at newport beach well worth it!!! Have to come here. Amazing pineapple ale as well. Just come. Please.

The only reason they get two stars is because the food was actually amazing. The service though was horrendous. These girls serving are not the brightest and are incredibly slow at their job.
