OMG, what can I say, ITs SAN FRANCISO / NAPA FOOD right here in YOUR Backyard, Tri Vals GOLDMINE! Brought a friend from Scottsdale and he actually said its way better than Mustards in Napa and any other Winery Rest. he has dined at! Gold Service like a 5 star atleast 4 Resort. I have to stop and go back for the meats with red wines. Thank You Karl Jr. and you Grandfather and your Father and great Grandfather here in Livermore Valley a true HIDDEN JEM!!! Yes, its hard to find unless you Golf. across from the old VA Hosp. THEY NEED EV PLUG IN S with all the TESLAS here! Good Concerts too, Kathy Griffin made me pass out, literally, it was 107, and I just had too much fine wine before and during her live concert. Chicago and Steve Martin too! TOP NOTCH and organic garden for the food too and a decent Pastry Chef as well. Perfect for Brunch and celebratory dates on your calendar as well. YOLO, eat here before aging.

This is one of my all-time favorite places to dine in the Bay Area. The food has always been wonderful, the service has been professional and friendly, and to sit and have Sunday brunch on the veranda is heavenly. Its where I bring out-of-town visitors for a real taste of California living! Also, the summer dinner/concert series is a delight - Ive gone at least once every summer and always have a fabulous time (except for the loud boors at the next table last night at the Steve Martin concert. (Just a suggestion - it can get a bit breezy and chilly at night out on the lawn, enough to need a light sweater or jacket.) Ignore the complainers - just go and enjoy yourself!!

Service was good. However, our server had not read about our dietary restrictions or familiarized himself with the ingredients on the menu. They also could not make something eggless vegetarian off the menu, so our options were limited. However, the food we got was good - the brussel sprouts were really, good, and the veggies that came with the steak dish, and the veggies that came with the cod dish, were health, creative & good. The winter chicory salad was all right - too bitter without more of the dressing they put on. The apple crisp was a treat. All in all, unless their vegetarian options are expanded, not worth the hefty price.

The food is very good here at The Restaurant but I have information that makes me never want to go back. The head chef, Matt Greco is unsanitary. He has been known to taste food in kitchen with serving spoon and place back into dish. Also he is always eating off plates before they go out to tables. Now this is not saying that the food is anything but amazing, the preparation of the food is questionable to me. A great dining place with amazing bar and wait staff. I would like to know for sure my food is being prepared properly, and from what I know, it is not. Dine at your own risk!

This is a great wedding venue. As a wedding photographer I work at a lot of different venues all over California. Wente has a great staff that are very attentive to their clients ad even their vendors. I always get fed a great meal when I work here. They have a variety of different locations around the property to photograph. My must have images are usually the bride in front of the bridal suite window and the couple in front of the wine cave doors. The great lawn is a perfect location for the ceremony and the family pictures. All and all a nice place to have a wedding.

Our Friday lunch for 5 people blew us away. Kumquat margarita, red sangria accompanied the succulent pork chops, grilled sea scallops, crab salad, grass fed burger, and chicken salad. What seemed ordinary in the menu were all extraordinary. Our friendly server, Jason, was super efficient and attentive. We all had the chocolate hazelnut cake for our sweet ending. The Restaurant at Wente is now our must-go destination.

This review is for this place as a wedding venue. Very nice location, pretty, and friendly staff. Good accomodations. The food was not amazing, but what wedding food is? And it was not bad, either. If I get married a third time (haha) I would at least consider this venue. Also the Wente wines they served were pretty good, though the whites were better than the reds I thought. But Im not much of a wine expert.

Eagerness to try the restaurant was replaced with disappointment by the food, although the service was very good. I liked the pumpkin and pancetta soup that was broth-based instead of creamy, which was well complimented by the delicious Wente cabernet sauvignon. However, all three of the entrees we ordered were plain in taste, dry or not flavored well (sausage, cod and ravioli).

My favorite winery in the Livermore Valley paired with one of the most talented chefs I have ever met! From estate cattle feed a bottle of Wente wine daily to the fresh vegetables all grown on the property no detail has been overlooked. Highly recommend adding a trip to the restaurant to your agenda!

Today was disappointing for lunch. Both my husband and I had the hamburger. Been getting it for years. But today it was flavorless!!!!!!! Too much salt and seasoning on the fries. But the hamburger had so much stuff on it we didnt enjoy it. But the biggest problem was no flavor in the berg Enjoy

Great food and wine! Nice ambience. The only gripes I have are that, we asked for our kids food to come out first and it ended up coming out 10 minutes later. Also if you have leftovers, dont expect a bag to carry out home in. Kinda disappointing.

Biked here with my son Sammy. They served us fresh, hand squeezed lemonade on the deck and the garden tomato salad was the best Ive ever had. So damn good! Staff was super helpful and friendly. Ill be back many times!

Had a wine tasting on the outdoor patio and paired it with various cheeses and meats. Took a tour of the vineyard and then had a delicious meal at the restaurant. Beautiful views and great staff.

Phenomenal staff and love their food. Youll be hard pressed to find a better spot to have lunch or dinner. You can even come by early and enjoy some time at the tasting room a stones throw away.
