Went to have a drink with my family there on Thanksgiving day, all was going well until the owner came up to buffet of the thanksgiving spread and slugged his poor dog daisy so violently, I was surprised she didnt collapse. No one in the bar noticed or said anything about the incident ( likely because they knew he was the new owner, at this point I was still unaware that fact). I went outside to calm down after seeing this violence and abuse, shocked and enraged. Shortly thereafter, same man, new owner, came outside as well. When I mentioned how disgusted and worried I was about his cruel behavior towards his dog, he immediately became volatile with me almost flicked his lit cigarette in my face, and was inches away from slapping/physically assaulting me. Luckily my dad who was sitting inside the bar heard all the commotion and ran outside to check on my safety. My father had to nearly assault the owner in an attempt to prevent him from attacking me. The new owner is violent and has an explosive rage towards both animals and people. I will never go there again because of imminent risk of safety and dangers surrounding his abuse toward his own dog followed by his dangerously close assault towards me.

I have been going to the Lighthouse Restaurant for many years but the last two times have been less than enjoyable. Yesterday was absolutely a disaster. Your cooking oil that the french-fries and fish were cooked in was rancid. The fish was very strong and of an unknown species, it definitely was not cod.. The service was not the best, we had to bring to the waitresses attention that we needed silver ware to eat our food with. We were pestered with a house fly while we were attempting to protect our food from his evasive sorties, and the windows hadnt been cleaned in a very long time. Hint; windows need to be washed on both the inner and outer surfaces. In retrospect it was obvious that most of the customers were drinking rather than eating at the Lighthouse, now I know why. The Lighthouse is a bar but no longer a restaurant.
