My favorite Italian restaurant. And growing up dining in the North Beach district in SF, CA- that is saying a lot. The pasta is made with love each day by Joe. It melts in your mouth with whichever fillings and sauces you choose. My husband and my favorites are the Pork Shank, with fresh Gnocchi and a red wine deduction (its better than the lamb, which is saying a lot!) We also love the Seafood Ravioli with Cream Pesto which pairs well with the Lasagna (which is a flavor bomb and the size of my head.) We get all three with a Caesar Salad (tossed with fresh Sardine Caesar dressing). We cant eat it all, as portions are huge. But the leftovers dont last long at home. Joes beautiful wife Leanne is the hostess with them mostest and she makes everyone feel as if you are coming into their home. This neighborhood treasure has not yet been discovered. The ambiance is quaint and romantic. There are mostly two tops, and a few four that can be turned into larger parties. Bellizma! is the only word to describe things. We are going there tonight! Cant wait.

We traveled from Portland OR to the Salish Lodge to celebrate a memorable 30th Anniversary. Based on their wonderful reviews, we selected Gianfranco for our Anniversary dinner. What an exceptional and exquisite Restaurant! Their menu has many wonderful choices – including our all-time favorite Veal Picatta and so many delectable-sounding pastas that my wife had trouble choosing. Our waiter suggested half-orders of each of their generous portions – a perfect solution! The owner stopped by, asked about our anniversary story, was so personable that we felt like we were eating with family. We traded doggie pictures with our marvelous waiter. Given the diverse menu choices, delectable food, generous portions and friendly atmosphere, our Anniversary dinner at Gianfranco’s turned out to be an all-time “top 5” dining experience. We would drive an hour one way just to eat here at least once a month.

Gianfranco was the restaurant find of our vacation. We went there for the special of 2 glasses of wine, 2 pastas, and dessert for $50. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS!! Manicotti, meatballs and sauce were terrific. The portions were huge, and the dessert (we chose the cannoli) was incredible, the best cannoli ever!! The people who worked there were so friendly and made us feel special. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we went back the next day and tried the pizza. Since we are New Yorkers, we are always looking for good pizza. The crust on this pizza was so light, the cheeses and sauce were so tasty that by the time John, (our waiter) came by to check on us, (about 10 minutes later) it was already gone. He asked about us and found out we were leaving the next day and it was our anniversary, so he gave us a complimentary dessert!!! Gianfranco is a Snowqualmie JEWEL!!! Dont miss it!!!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Gianfranco. We have nothing to complain about. The wait staff was very helpful and friendly, yet professional. We had reserved a table and it was waiting for us even though we were a bit late. The food was made from delicious, fresh, high quality ingredients. It was my wifes birthday and our waitress gave a free dessert of her choice. I would say the prices are very cheap considering the quality and extremely generous portion sizes. The two of us split and appetizer and salad (ceasar with smoked salmon ... double yum) and when our pizza came we were nearly stuffed. The building is rather small but cozy. Next time were anywhere near Snoqualmie, you can bet were stopping at Gianfrancos

I brought my friends here after we moved the courthouse wedding to Snoqualmie and it was the best choice to tie the small wedding together. We enjoyed champagne and had absolutely amazing service from the family who ran the business. They helped make the spontaneous wedding day one to never forget. To top off the amazing service, the food was unforgettable! The mushroom Gorgonzola dish was perfect and the tiramisu just melted in your mouth! The service was extraordinary and I couldnt have asked for a better wedding party celebration!

I visited Gianfranco in Snoqualmie last night and it was a very enjoyable dining experience. My friend and I had excellent service and great food. They even had a table waiting for a couple celebrating their anniversary complete with champagne and flowers! its always nice to see a business go the extra mile to make their customers experience wonderful. The business was very steady and most of the tables were full by the time we left so I would recommend getting there early or calling to see if they will take your reservation.

We came to this restaurant for my birthday. Absolutely outstanding food and service. Started with the portabella in curricula sauce (to die for), then the house salad (THE BEST vinaigrette dressing ever), split the tastey pork shank (still almost more than either of us could eat), and finished off with a complimentary bread pudding dessert (positively heavenly...or sinfully delicious). The recommended Chianti went perfectly with everything. When we travel from San Antonio to Seattle, this side trip to Gianfranco is a must.

We went here for the first time and were blown away by the quality of the food and how warm and friendly and welcoming it felt. While we were there, regular after regular came in, which we always think is a good sign. Do make reservations, though. We got there early and were able to be seated, but by the time we left, every table in the tiny place was full and then some. Its got a romantic, slightly upscale vibe, so we might not bring the kids, or might bring them one at a time. Do yourself a favor and get the lasagna.

Weve gone here often since they opened and Im never disappointed. The food is fabulous and I like the feel of this family owned and operated restaurant. We went there before having a kid and it fit us - now we go there with a kid and it still fits. Its not a typical "kid" restaurant but they are very accomodating and we dont feel out of place. The only Italian restaurants Ill visit on the Eastside are Gianfranco and Cafe Tropea in Redmond, which also has excellent food and even better (more professional) service.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary dinner at Gianfranco Restorante, and it was the perfect restaurant. The dish that was recommended (Penne Gianfranco with chicken) is worth coming back for. When something is good, why not keep coming back for a fantastic dish! Our server, the owners daughter Giordana was so friendly and personal, that we would request her the next time we visit. Our next visit will be wine and pasta with our parents! We really loved the food and quiet atmosphere~
