3 stars.. I had to split the difference. I am no stranger to Secret Spot - Ive eaten here dozens of times... But I am annoyed every time. The food is good. Better than most hole-in-the-wall joints. Tons of vegan options. Whats not to love?! The Wait. Its incredible. I am waiting right now as I post this. I called my order in roughly 20 minutes ago. I drove around in the parking lot and had to get a spot over by the liquor store. I walk across the parking lot and in to the restaurant. I wait behind a few people ordering, and now I pay "Its not ready yet - looks like about 2 more minutes" Alright, glad I called it in. Ill just sit outside and wait...and keep waiting. People who arrived and ordered since Ive been here have already gotten their food. It has now been 10 minutes since I was told it would be 2 minutes. Im going back in. Stand by. ---------------- Back out now, food in hand. It was all bagged up and sitting to the side. Nobody ever called my name. :| Just checked my call log : 28 minutes from the time I called and placed my order of a vegan breakfast burrito and two vegan tacos, to now, the time I have my food in my hand. To be fair, this is probably the longest it has ever taken for me to get my food, but a long wait is not uncommon. Call ahead, take a nap, do the laundry, go wash your car, go pick up your food.

After a high recommendation from numerous people, we had to give this place a shot before we hit the beach. We popped in on a Monday afternoon and ordered the Malibu burrito and the HB Surround Sound burrito. The price was about $9/each for the burrito and for what you get, I was pretty impressed. The food tasted fresh and was nice and hot when we got it. There is a bit of a longer wait, but they do warn you. If you are hangry like me, you should probably consider calling ahead to order and picking it up when you get there. Seating can be rather tight depending on when you pop in. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. If you are like us and want to enjoy the yummy goodness on the beach, youre only a 5 min walk from it. Overall great value for what you get and definitely a huge fan of the food!

The food was so goooood. I just wish this place was bit more of a secret. Dont come starving because it takes a while to get the food. That being said, once you get the food you forget all about the wait. I was raving about this place after the first bite! They have a full functioning smoothie bar too. I got a refreshing tofurkey garlic wrap and my friend went with the breakfast burrito. Both delicious and I cant wait to try the other items on the menu. Seating is very limited but by the time you finally get your food usually a table opens up. They need to get a bigger place and hire more employees!

I like how they make everything fresh. Food: I got the Strawberry Banana pancakes and they were okay. I wouldnt get it again. My friend got the Blueberry Mango pancakes and I wouldnt get that again either. Next time I come I am trying the burritos! Interior: No bathrooms for customers. There is a gas station next to it though so maybe you can go there if you really need to go... Its dirty inside here which is sort of a turn off. Some of the napkins had stains on them :-/ tables were sticky. Service: Its a order at the counter and get up to get your food sort of place which is nice.

Quick! The secret is out. This place is just meh. The truth is, the vegan/vegetarian options are terrible here. Youre better off letting your mom pack you a PB&J on Wonder bread before hitting out to the beach. The quesadilla with tofu and veggie burrito are flavorless. The authentic Mexican touch is missing. Coming in with a group of friends? Too bad, youre eating in your car because this place is ti-neeeee. Oh, there are no restrooms. You best go back to beach and take care of that. There aint nothing secretive about this spot.

This rating is only based on the juices and smoothies. This is my go to for a quick smoothie or juice. All the juices are good. For smoothies, try Thors hammer or the flu fighter. It would be nice if the average calorie count was posted but that doesnt stop me. Theres always people eating and placing orders for food too. Special of the day are always posted. Great staff!!

First this place isnt vegetarian, they do serve meat. Service is marginal. The place is filthy. Music is blasting so loud you cant have a conversation and the hostess is singing loudly (and out of tune) over it. Had vegan beef tacos, way too salty and little light on quantity. The veggie wrap isnt bad but not great.

The service here is friendly and thus far, the food is pretty good. They buy a lot of the components to their meals, but the price is right and the flavors (so far) are superb! I had the HBC with Soyrizo and one of their vegan cookies. Both were amazing! I will definitely be back and most likely adding that last star!

Secret Spot is an amazing place to check out on Huntington Beach! We tried the Italian Melt sandwich & the Tuna sandwich on gluten free bread and they were both phenomenal!! Great place to stop by if you want to see the beach! Good environment, great service, and amazing food (ps dont miss out on the salsa & chips!)

We frequent this place often. Love lots of the menu items for Breakfast and lunch. Best vegetarian cookies ever! Breakfast burritos are delish and large! Their Bluberry lemonade is super yummy. They have a black bean/rice with cheese and nacho chips dish that we share that is a favorite. Yup we are coming back!

After one bite of their pancakes I was in a good mood for the rest of the day. These are without a doubt the best pancakes I have ever had. Keep doing what your doing you guys are awesome. Good, chill atmosphere and great location no wonder its a secret. Love, Peace and how about some more pancakes too :D

Been going to secret spot since i was a kid. I think the new owners are Venezulan and they add a cool new lively vibe to the whole place. You can still order off the old menu and they made the same smoothie i would get as a kid. Try the Mango Tree. Little pricey but worth it.

Great food! I love the vibe here. The Vegan menu options are awesome and the soups are always delicious. I have been eating here consistently for 3months now and I highly recommend this place for Vegans and non Vegans especially if you planning a day at Sunset Beach.

I used to Absolutely adore Secret spot, but lately they have watered down my wheatgrass shots, been out of desired items on their menu, treated me like Im bothering them, and worst of all, completely jacked (messed-up) my order. R.I.P Secret spot, you will be missed!
