I first want to say we like CFG but not this location. We keep wanting to give this location a chance but its not even hit or miss anymore its just a big miss. 1. Ths staff is very slow almost incomprehensible. 2. The food was subpar didnt seem fresh fish n chips with burnish batter mushy inside. My husband said because oil hadnt been changed. It left an oil slick on my plate. 3. The floors were disgusting food allover not swept. 4. Tables are sticky for some strange reason. 5. The mason jars with the napkins werent refilled I had to exchange ours from an empty table. 6. The area for the drinks and sauces was such a disgusting unkempt mess it was wet from ice and drinks, the tarter sauces had spills in them from other sauces i.e. ketchup. And the little containers and lids were not consistently filled many empty gaps. This area looked like noone gave a crap about the establishment or their job. Where was the manager? The neglect from the staff for this restaurant was unbelievable. I should have left and got our money back. The whole experience was just weird. I would say stop spending the money on your wine selection and keep that money to get a better manager that will keep an eye on things and value/appreciate their job. I will not be going back here ever, trust and believe that!

They just upgraded their menu within the past few months. The improvements are very good. They expanded their menu and offer more choices of plates and flavors. They now offer premium sides like grilled Brussels spouts and Kale slaw. Both are very good. They even rebooted their soft drink selections. There are choices like pineapple cream soda and black cherry with tarragon. If you have not tried it since the beginning of 2017, go back and check it out. And for the record, they have always prepared their fish well. Almost as good as some high end seafood restaurants, but at value prices. Take a person who claims to not like fish. If they still do not like fish, then the really do not like fish. But some people actually realize that this is how good fish can taste and they become fans.

Updated Review (06/13/2017): Theyve gotten a really nice makeover that finally got rid of the odd sticky tables. It looks and feels much more modern. It does have a bit of a drawback as prices increased about a dollar No longer do they bring food to you. You receive a buzzer and pick up your food when its ready. I dont mind. The food is still great. Overall, the makeover earned this location 5 stars. Original Review: I love the calamari here. Its absolutely delicious. This eatery is nice, but the tables have an odd consistent sticky factor to them. Other than that, the whole experience is nice. Can be quite hectic around lunch time though.

We were there about 8:30 pm on Sunday, June 11. My daughter ordered the Ahi Cajun Tuna. My other daughter ordered the Grilled Ahi which was served well done. It turned out to be a blessing because the rare tuna got both of my kids sick (they split the rare Ahi). This is the second time that someone in my family became ill after eating here. I will never step foot in that restaurant again and the health department will be contacted to follow-up on their back of the house practices and procedures. In my opinion, this restaurant is a disgrace.

This is a great lunch spot for fish/shrimp tacos, salads, and the like. I especially like their blackened salmon salad. Its served with cranberries, candied walnuts, and blue cheese crumbles. However, Ive noticed that this place has some quality control issues. If I pay $12 for a salad, I want a sufficient amount of greens and toppings. There have been a few times when the portion has been off. If youre going to buy lunch here to go, Id suggest calling in your order as this place gets ridiculously busy in the afternoon.

Good, quickly served seafood is sold here! Casual environment, with super friendly staff who are there to help! Very straightforward ordering process (line ordering, there are no waitstaff here), and food comes out hot. You can sit inside and outside, both are nice, but be aware that for some reason (not a fault of the restaurant) there is an odd (unpleasant smell) that blows through the outdoor area intermittently. Lines can get long here, but dont let it dissuade you, as the cook time is fast!

The food is a great value for the price but the food and service can be inconsistent. Sometimes Ill wait over 15 minutes longer for my order than my coworkers who ordered after me. The rice and beans side dishes are subpar too. I recommend substituting them with grilled zucchini and French fries if you get a combo. I dont recommend going here if you are on a tight schedule for lunch.

Food was horrible tasted old salad and fish tasted like they had it stored for a while if you want to get good service and better tasting food I would do the fish grill in gardena food taste fresh there and they have great customer service there. My wife and I our stomach end up hurting the same day after eating that food and the following day after

What a hidden jewel! The fish was GREAT! I was in L.A. for work, and one can only do so much fast food. HUGE fillets. Not very expensive at all. For a meal like this, one would pay say.... 30 bucks. I had the white fish over rice, with slaw and a side of fried shrimp and a soda. For only $16! Walk away full and happy. A+

Food and service has always been great. Their seafood always tastes fresh and they know how to cook it just right. My favorite is the grilled shrimp wrap and just recently tried the sweet potato fries. Our cousins from SF loved their first dining experience @ CFG. They dont disappoint.

Great food at a reasonable price. Friendly staff. Nice outdoor seating. I had grilled shrimp with olive oil, rice and kaleslaw. It was all really good. I didnt care for their Soft drink selection, but the food was so incredible, I didnt care about what I was drinking.

Ive come here at least ten times if not more no complaints about anything, foods good, preparation time adequate, portions are what to be each unexpected for the money. I ordered special, White Fish, plus sided of zucchini, and was less than eleven dollars. Love it!

This place is a sea food heaven .. Fresh, authentic, and CHEAP !! I tried the Cajun and Garlic Salmon and both are just Amazing .. My wife tried the Fried Shrimp and Fried Shrimp Tacos and she love both of them .. I recommended this place to everybody ..

Food was fine. I got the ahi poke bowl which was heavy on sauce and rice which was tasty but I missed the focus on the fresh fish. Wanted a healthier lunch option and didnt really get it here. If I return, I would stick to the fish itself.

I love this place. Its my go-to seafood meal when Im in LA for work. For a little more than fast food, you get freshly cooked fish. The salmon and swordfish are my personal favorites and try the catfish bites for an app!
