The rating scale is not low enough to rate this restaurant. I went for the lunch buffet and ate the hot n sour soup and two pieces of sushi. I fished a short black hair out of my soup and then put the soup aside. I then dared to try the sushi and it tasted DISGUSTING like it had been sitting out all day or recycled. As the food was so horrible and unsanitary, and I had basically taken two samples of their food, I asked for my money back. My waitress just looked at me and then disappeared. Five minutes later, nowhere to be found, I went to the reception desk and met by the manager. She said I had to still pay and refused to refund my money. Im like are you kidding, there was hair in my food and I did not eat anything! She looks at me and states "I feel sorry for you"...."everyone likes our food". Ugh ok no need for the personal insults. Then she said to never come back here again (as if I would). I give this place 12 months to go out of business. What a dump with disgusting food and service. I cant believe people pay to eat this nasty food. YUCK.

Came for lunch. Best sushi buffet Ive experienced. Huge variety of appetizers: crawfish, bulgogi, salmon, mussels, calamari, tempura shrimp, teriyaki chicken, salads and veggies of all sorts and all of it fantastic for a buffet. Selection of sushi was great. Nice hand rolls, with perfectly sized cuts. I wish I could have saved more room for dessert because they had a lot of pretty stuff. Good matcha ice cream too! Lunch is 100% worth it. Will be back for dinner some time.

A great place to enjoy a large variety of buffet style foods and desserts. There is something for everyone here, and even the most finicky amongst us would be able to find several things to enjoy. The prices have kept going up over the years, to the point they are borderline unacceptable at this point. Hence I no longer take my family as often as I did in the past. So be prepared for sticker shock especially if youre paying for a family of four or more.

Very nice Japanese buffet. Im not typically a big fan of buffets, especially the Chinese variety that serve over sweetened, low grade meats that have been sitting under heat lamps for hours. This was a nice sushi buffet, and the price was decent for what they gave you. The fish was fresh and constantly being cut up served new. The service was friendly. Even the cooked fish and chicken katsu was tasty. I highly recommend it.

This review is for Kuma Sushi Seafood Buffet, which seems to be Onami under new ownership but with returning staff and cooks. We were crushed when Onami closed, but this is basically Onami with remodeled bathrooms, apparently some kitchen remodeling too but we of course didnt see it, and a fondue fountain and oyster shooters. The quality of the food seemed a bit better, and if you loved Onami you will surely love this place!

It was an 8/10 due to food variety, presentation, and overall ambience. However, the bathroom floors were wet and no slip sign nearby, and I saw a hair in one of the trays (previous customer most likely, but, there should be attendants ready to remove to notice things like that and remove them) Overall, I enjoyed it with my family and the sushi was pretty good. Would definitely go again.

Have always thought the food was halfway decent but the service was always great until DEC 26, 2009. I took my family there because they informed us that they were open until 9:30pm when we called. When we arrived at 8:30pm the owner told us they were closing early due to Christma and refused to seat my family and I. Never to return again.

I was surprised to find out that there was no oysters, shrimps and crabs available on serving line.. How can this place call itself as seafood buffet when you dont have basic essentials? I and my family ate there for dinner. This place is pricey and a big disappointment for seafood buffet. we are definitely not coming back.

Clean, fresh and authentic!! The price is more than average but if you want a good seafood buffet, this is it. Very honest supply of different types of fish, shrimp, shell fish, lobster and the Japanese style seaweed salads are a treat! All sushi and sushimi are made fresh, they dont let it sit for too long.

This place was horrible! Omg the seafood was one level above being bait! It smelled and tasted like it was left over from the previous day. The oysters were so bad I had to spit them out and was afraid I was going to get sick. The crab legs were old and fishy tasting. I will plan on not going here again!

Highly quality sushi, sashimi, their desserts are delicious. Seems a bit expensive for the lack of variety, but it is still delicious none the less. There is also lots of varieties that arent seafood based, such as chicken and beef, noodles, and salads.

This is one of the best sushi buffets in the south bay. Ive been going here for years and have never had a bad meal, with a great selection of sushi and cooked asian choices you cant go wrong. They also have a large dessert selection.

The Torrance location is umm o.k, decent food, the Onami that used to be in West Covina was better, since the renovation of the mall Im not sure if Onami ever reopened. Anyways that one was alot better..

Selection is wide, the buffet table is long with Japanese and Korean bbq, sushi, and desserts. Quality is uneven. Freshness is uneven. Not very happy with it last two times Ive been.

The best sushi and value in the South Bay!! In addition they have tempura, egg rolls, fried oysters, salads, and desserts. Try the green tea ice cream. Really nice service. Try it.

Expensive. There are not many choices after 8:30. They didnt care to replace the missing items at the end of the evening. The dinning room looks really cheap.
