What happened to my favorite seafood restaurant of all time? We use to go there all the time but moved to Long Beach so we hadnt been there for awhile. I was thrilled with the food, service and prices. (Seniors on a budget). We went the other night to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary and were really looking forward to it. Started out that when we entered the door there was no one there and the sign said "wait to be seated". So we waited and waited and waited. I finally went into the kitchen and said "Anyone home"? The help ignored me until I repeated my request. Finally the waitress who was on her cell phone said "Oh yes, were here". Not a good start. We ended up seating ourselves. Also, I immediately requested 12 oyster on the half shell and I requested horse radish to go with them, I had to request this twice AFTER we were served the oysters Then we looked at the menu and were we shocked to see the change and not for the better. We have always been so happy with your prices as we are on a budget, but many items have almost doubled and the salad bar now costs $5. when it use to be inclusive with most meals. That puts an additional $10. on our tab right off the bat. Use to be able to get deep fried scallops/zucchini together, not now, unless an increased charge. My husband asked for MGD which you use to carry, and which you no longer have. Not everyone likes mexican beer. I use to just love your Seafood Pasta because there was such a variety and quantity of seafood (i.e.scallops, clams, fish & shrimp). What I had last night was lots of sauce with chopped up seafood???, and all of 2 shrimp. Talk about a disappointed, thats an understatement. I will say that my husband was happy with his grilled seafood plate with the dinner salad and I was happy with that, and the deep fried scallops were a wonderful size, but I feel sad that your place is no longer our favorite. Maybe the service thing was just an off night, but the ability for us to afford your establishment is no longer feasible. So we spent about the same amount of money, but their were 4 items we were not able to afford due to you raising prices. Raising your salad bar to $2.50 would have been a stretch for us, but $5.00 is just too much, not to mention the other items that have increased on your menu. So, I dont know what else to say but its not likely youll see us there again, unless we win the lottery. Sincerely, Richard Caughlins" Mom.

I like this place, been coming here all my life. Shrimp are always great and the smoked salmon cant be beat. Micheladas are very good here and go great with your seafood. It gets crowded quick so finding somewhere to park when you get there and finding somewhere to sit are a challenge. Only complaint I have is that I have to buy lemons and hot sauce, youre already buying the shrimp, paying additional for those shrimp to be cooked, buying garlic bread, and I cant even get a few free wedges and a small 2 oz. Container of hot sauce. Thats all I use just about. That aside, if you can spend a little extra money (because ut can easily get pricey) hit Pedro for great seafood. You will not regret it.

Horrible servíce, since we walked in there wasnt a hostess to seat us we happend to flag down a waiter and got a booth, then we sit down they took our order pretty quick 30min go by no food and we only ordered one of the 60$ platter, while 2 other parties with multiple dishes get theirs first, so then again we had catch someones attention and asked what was taking so long they said its on its way out. We waited another 10min finally we said forget it lets go, so we called the waiter over which then got the Manager he came over which the he tried to convince us to stay but we had enough and left he did although gave us 2 micheladas on the house for the trouble.

"Disappointed" is the best way to describe our experience. We went for the King Crab and got left-over pieces that seemed like they found them on the bottom of the freezer. Hardly any meat and smelled bad. The steak was good and my Stella Artois was excellent! For a restaurant with the word "Crab" in their name, there should be a lot more pride in the "Crab" part. Service was Ok....and did I mention my Stella Artois was excellent!? PS... Go to Gladstones for excellent King Crab.

We were lucky to go when the area wasnt jam packed with people. The oysters were really good, the shrimp cocktail was decent. The atmosphere is great for the family. Its cool that Crusy Crab has a market, restaurant and eating area with full bar.

Its hard to find a seat even if youre alone like I was. The line to get food was absolutely ridiculous (I stood in the same spot in line for 40 mins) so I opted to only get a beer instead. I really wish I could have sampled some of the food.

Walked in and my boyfriend and I were literally the only two people in the restaurant! We decided to leave because it was really odd and it was pretty dirty. Another couple walked in as we were leaving and walked out too. Something is up.

Terrible service, the waitress was very disorganized and brought separate dishes at different times. The food was good but I wish I could have enjoyed it together with my family instead of waiting for my plate and others plates to come.

My friends and I were cruising around the area looking for someplace to eat. We were craving some krabby patties and figured why not hit up the crusty crab! Needless to say, Spongebob never disappoints

Food is fire. You order for the fish market that next door and to take it to the other side and that cook it. The price is great as well. I would recommend going with a big group

This place is a hidden gem. When you enter go to this left side with the salad bar and have a seat. Great food at great prices. Try the sauté potatoes they are really tasty.

A local favorite. Seafood with a Mexican twist. Their shrimp tacos are fantastic, our most favorite items on the menu. Kid friendly options and wide selection of fried options.
