We dined here a while back when my father was in town. The restaurant looks charming, and has a nice patio overlooking the little "lake" in town center. But my dads steak was poorly cooked. The menu said to tell anyone if we had a problem, and so we told the expediter. Nothing happened. We told the waiter. Nothing happened. The owner came by, and we told her, and she chastised us for not telling "any member of staff". And guess what? Still, nothing happened. Then to add insult to injury, she returned to the next table and loudly apologized to them in front of us for some "problem" and gave them a free bottle of wine. Not a word to us. We will NEVER go back to this rude, poorly run establishment.

Called to see if I needed reservations for Valentines day, they said I did. When I got there at 7pm, half of the tables were empty - not a good sign for a restaurant on Valentines day. There really was no need for reservations. We ordered and my dinner guest received her meal first. I waited about 10 min for them to bring my meal out, by which time my dinner guest had completed her meal. Very poor service. They apologized for everything but nonetheless, a bad dining experience. Bistro 33 across the street seems to be where everyone is going. Skip this place - the other reviewers are correct. First and last visit to the Campy campanile.

My boyfriend and I had dinner there last night. Food was average at best and ridiculously overpriced. Service was just awful. When bringing our food, the waiter put his armpit in my face twice because he was too lazy to walk around the table. Never checked on us after that. Not once. Had to wait 20 minutes just to have our water refilled. Another couple walked in and waited a few minutes to be greeted and when no one offered to get them a table they left. Its too bad because the decor is beautiful and the ambience is great. But thats just not enough and well never set foot in that place again.

1st timers here! Nice atmosphere, édith piaf playing in the background. Salmon was grilled to perfection, served along with potatoes and a tomato/vegetable mix. Nice glass of pinot, it was called the Arrogant Frog. Jeff took great care of serving up the food and making sure that we were happy. Couldnt ask for more. We will go back.

I live several miles from this restaurant and work for an international tool company. We meet in El Dorado Hills, as opposed to downtown Sacramento, because of the food and service we receive there - we go out of our way to be there because everything is excellent.

Best Dinner I had this year:) Ordered the Beef Burgundy, which was amazing and had the best dessert ever, Creme Brûlée! Recommend! (4 starts- the staff needs to be more attentive, maybe they need extra ppl in the house:)

We just went there on Friday last and heard great live Sinatra music and had a wonderful dinner. I noticed that the prices have been lowered too. Love the atmosphere. Cgreen

Best Cream of Asparagus Soup this side of Munich. Yvon is a great chef for European and especially French cuisine.
