First off Ill say that I never review restaurants. In fact this is my first review, good or bad. I came to McNamaras after finding it in a search of best restaurants in Pleasanton, CA . Im here for business and thought Id give it a shot. I am traveling by myself and have great experiences at higher end restaurants around the country by myself. When I was seated it took around 10 minutes to take my drink order from Nicole. I waited another 20 minutes to receive the drink. I ordered my $37 NY strip, med rare, when the wine arrived. The steak came out about 30 minutes later cooked closer to well done and extremely chewy. The runner came back to ask how it was it was. I told him it was wrong and he said he would bring the waitress..close to 30 minutes passed before Nicole appeared again. I was also out of both wine and water. I was ready to leave to said it was "fine" and asked for the check. 5 minutes passed and she brought a desert menu. I reiterated that I wanted the check. I wanted another glass of local wine bit didnt want to give her any more of my business so I paid out and went to the bar. Overall it was a very mediocre experience. I will not be back and will tell all of those at my company not to go.

I was quite disappointed with the food. I was there on Sunday for Fathers Day. I ordered the House Cut Filet Mignon and the only flavor it had was on the outside top. The inside was bland and I had to add salt to it. My brother ordered the Salmon and his complaint was that it did not taste fresh. My mother ordered Jumbo Prawn Cocktail and she did not like it one bit. She said the sauce was too dry for her liking. My husband ordered the Prime Rib Steak and had the exact same complaint as I. Not flavorful. I do have to say my father ordered the Baby Back Ribs and was very satisfied with his dish. I left there with an awful feeling that I had just shelled out $200+ for dinners that were not worth it. Not sure if it being a Sunday had anything to do with the food not tasting fresh and flavorful. I have absolutely no complaints about the service though. I definitely could not recommend McNamaras to friends.

Overall a good experience. Purchased the Costco gift cards which allowed us to try a bit more than usual. French onion soup was great. Liked my fillet -in our experience, the food was all cooked a bit over what you ordered - I ordered a medium, but should have asked for medium rare. Bread was excellent. Ranch tasted like Hidden Valley - could be improved. Brownie dessert was terrible. Overall though, great service, nice ambiance and an overall enjoyable meal.

I had the filet mignon with vegetables and au gratin potatoes. I ordered medium rare and received what seemed medium well. It was also listed as 8oz house cut, but, while I didnt weigh it, it seemed a lot closer to 6oz. I weigh my food at home and am pretty familiar with weightsize comparisons. My friend had the halibut and it similarly seemed smaller than expected. Take that with a grain of salt, and for what its worth. In general everything was just "ok".

We went in Sunday and the place wasnt busy but way understaffed, both waiters and in the kitchen. Hard to get our waitress to come by and food took forever - in and out was 2 hours. Oysters and soup were just ok, only the steak and creme burlee were of the quality Id expect. I dont plan to go back even if they run another Groupon, still way too expensive for what you get. Very disappointing, I was hoping I had found a good fine dining steakhouse:

I just left this place and I could not leave soon enough. The service sucked, from the front door person to the waitress that served me. The steak had no flavor. The white staff at this location looked at me as if I should be working there serving water instead of eating there. I am a Hispanic male, maybe if I was a white male it would have been different. I do not recommend this place to anyone that want decent service and a good steak.

I live in Reno but i come to Dublin 3-4 times a year since my Kids live there and every time i visit my kids we go eat at McNamaras steak and fish. I love there steak Big and juicy cooked the way i like. They have a great wine selection. I always have a great family time there. i will be back in the summer when i visit my grand kids till then keep up the good work. you people are awesome.

Sadly McNamaras has gone down hill we will not be back, 2 steaks were both cooked wrong (both ordered rare one was well the other was still icebox cold blue), when my steak came back the "chef" had sliced it open without letting it rest so all of the juice had run out onto the plate. Even the free dessert offered to make up for the miscooked steak was inedible.

I have been going to McNamaras for years. I mostly order Steak and Salmon and they always prepare it well the staff is very friendly and the bar crew is awesome. They have great food and lovely Crew thanks for the great food and happy times i be back in couple of weeks.

Very nice and warm atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Service was great and good, super delicious!! One thing could be improved is the Shrimp And Lobster Bisque... it needs to have some small pieces of the Shrimp And Lobster, it wouldve been much, much better!!!

Creaky old place. Ordered surf and turf. Prime rib was so dry that they had to change... well second one not better either.... also lobster was bit smelly..... this place is priced exorbitantly for the quality and taste. Would never visit again and I not recommend.

My fiance and I dined there the other night and the food was excellent as was the service. My hat is off to the cook as well to our waiter, Pete. I will definitely refer this place to our friends that are in need of a top flight steak.

We moved here in July and have yet to find a steakhouse worthy of a review. We have found it, and more! The wine selection was exceptional, as well as the service! We would definitely recommend it and are going back!

Worst food ever and overpriced. I had fish with white rice and some frozen mixed vegetables. Save your money and go somewhere else. The service was great and the restaurant was beautiful. The food is nasty.

Ive been here several times over the last 10 years. Consistently great. Have never tried the seafood but I know they are serious about steak. Very quiet and comfortable atmosphere.

Great service. Ambiance is a bit dated, but very traditional ornament steakhouse. Had the prime ribeye and it was excellent. Would have likeda bit more seasoning for it to be exceptional.
