So we went for my bday. It is no where near as nice as the Berkeley one. We chose this place because we live closer to it. Rather cramped. Service is poor. The chefs are awesome but the overall atmospere is poor. There was our group of three and another group of four at our table. The other group was openly celebrating a bday and we were keeping my bday quiet. They brought the massive pile of melted wax they call a candle to us(really not impressive), upon mistaking whos celebration it was. Then thought it was my daughters bday. When I corrected it. I was sang happy bday by one single hostess, a terrible one at that. She forgot my tea, never even offered to refill any of our drinks, and brought steamed rice out to my daughter, part of the kids meal, when all her other food was gone. To make matters worse, my daughter contracted food poisoning from this meal. She has the childrens shrimp meal and started puking at 10, hasnt stopped 12+ hours later. I would not recommened this location to anyone. Check out the Berkeley one instead. Much better views, service, and atmosphere.

We almost didnt go here because of some of the reviews but were really glad we did. We were looking for a Benihana style restaurant and this was a great choice. We made reservations and got in right on time. The chef was very friendly, outgoing and entertaining. Everyone at our table really liked their food. Its very similar to Benihanas but the portion sizes seemed much larger. I got the steak and shrimp and I had a lot left over. To address a few of the issues I read about. I didnt notice any bad odor. Its a restaurant and they are cooking out in the open so there are a lot of different smells but nothing bad that I smelled. The place was a little hot but once again, when they are cooking at the table, its going to be a little hot. No one was sweating or uncomfortable though. Lastly, is the price. Both of us had the steak and shrimp and one cocktail. The bill was $98.00. Its not cheap, but its about average for this type of restaurant. If you like this type of restaurant I would recommend it.

This is my favorite restaurant right now. I tend to visit about once a week. They have very friendly staff with great personalities. I have tried most everything on the menu minus the fish items and havent found anything that I didnt think was good. I recommend the filet mignon, its out of sight. The cooks are great, it seems they all have there own signature moves/tricks they perform while cooking for you, along with the standard issue ones like the onion volcano. Great entertainment for kids and adults alike.

Although it can get extremely crazy here it was worth the wait. I did call ahead for reservations and got one for 2 hours later. Once arrived i waited about 15 minutes. Once seated everything went smoothly. The service was great the food was amazing and the cook did some pretty awsome stuff. We had a Puerto Rican guy (wepa) and he was pretty funny. For two people we paid $99.00 and left a nice tip. The Vegetarian option looked so good. I cant wait to come back with a group of people.

The decor is nice. Lights are dim, which i dont mind. The food is a little pricey, but it comes with a show (the chef cooks the food infront of you), so you are paying for that too. The chefs have their signature moves and even includes us in his act. He flip small pieces of eggs or something else into your mouth. Tables are a little squished together but to the point of being uncomfortable. It was a fun experience.

Had a reservation for 2 at 7:30. It was slow. Didnt get seated til 8. Chef showed up at 8:45. He was so boring & didnt even do tricks. Grill broke down 1/2 thru the meal so had to wait for it to get fixed.Waitress never came back,got my own refills at the bar. Decor sucks,everything is run down. Food is bland. Fried rice is not fried, its just soggy drowned in sauce. Its awful from beginning to end!!!

I wasnt expecting much from the outside since its just tucked away in some strip mall, but the food and service were very good. They cook everything right in front of you and it was great. The seating area was very dark, though. They accommodated us well with our toddler as well.

Food is really good. Presentation is fun. Service is great! This is not a quick meal. Its not made to be fast. And, yes, its crowded on a Friday/Saturday night. Thats the sign of a good restaurant. I marked it down one star because its a bit pricey and always a tad hot .

Great food, interesting crowed. The place seemed a little unclean, particularly the bar. I think most of that stems from the fact that the place simply needs some interior updating. However, our chef was spectacular and the food was delectable.

Great place for a date. Entertainment, meal, and drinks in one place! Sometimes they have inexperienced chefs so the "show" may not be as exciting, but the food is always well prepared.
