I really wanted to like this place. We signed in...they didnt ask our name they just pushed a clipboard towards me and told me to put in my name. We were told that the wait would be about 10 minutes. Nope....20, and they refused to provide any kind of menu to peruse before hand, or any kind of shade or anything; we were stuck outside with dozens of others in the sun. And then when we got a table we were told that wed be sharing a table with another couple. If we had been asked if this was alright I probably wouldnt have given a damn but not being given a choice was a bit much. Apparently most of their tables are 6-tops anyway so theres not much choice to be had. I was treated to the hostesses shrill and overbearing attempts to push the cafes overpriced iced espresso drinks right....in....my....ear. Fortunately the waitress who came later was somewhat less aggressive....and about an octave lower, so she was a welcome change. I ordered, among other things, a waffle with whipped cream and strawberries. The whipped cream and strawberries seemed to be the real thing. The waffle, however, was pale & soft. I had called ahead to determine whether they even served waffles, and they said that they did. When I asked whether they were the crispy type with deep holes, they confirmed this as well. But my waffle wasnt. It was pale, barely crispy and just underdone. If I hadnt been so hungry I would have sent it back. The same applies to the hash browns: under cooked and borderline raw. Ds omelet was tasty. Nothing much to write home about and slightly bland, but tasty once we found the salt. I got the impression that the kitchen staff was being pushed to just get the food out; there wasnt any real attention paid by management to maintain standards and I think that this is a shame. I think the kitchen staff is capable of putting out better products but theres too much focus on serving as many people as possible. Our used plates and tableware sat untouched for more than 10 minutes even after the check was dropped off. The hostess returned after we had finished our food to put forth a question about how everything was without really engaging us to determine what we thought. She also put forth the query as to whether sharing a table was alright, and without really waiting for a response from us she just muttered "...that was okay, right? I thought so...." or some such and left. Finally, $5.35 is waaaaaaaaay to much for a cup of fresh squeezed OJ. When I saw that on the check I damn near bit my tongue. If you go here be sure you find out how much theyre plan to extort as not everything on offer has an explicit price. I might return later, in a year or so, if there are more / better reviews here and / or on Yelp!, but there are other places serving better food with better service for less.

I can not say enough good things about this place! To call what I experianced EXCELLENT customer service would be a drastic understatement. The food was not only delicious but was also served in a very timely manor. I requested Mushrooms added to my omlete and when it was realized they were forgotten they insisted on remaking the omlete despite my numous attempts to tell them it wasnt necessary. Both our waitress and one of the owners insisted saying that the wanted me to have what I ordered. I told then they could put some over the top or bring them out, but they were adamant they wanted to remake it. I had some great convo with Percilla one of the Owners I beleive. I couldnt finish my coffee so I asked for a to go cup for it and she brought me out a whole new cup of it. I felt more like family here than a customer. I will definitely be going back all the time!

Looks like a popular breakfast place to dine , with plenty of free parking . Expect to put your name on the list , during the peak dining hours and wait outside to be called for when the table is ready. Really wanted to like this place , and maybe Ill try and give it another chance . The waitress was really pushy on selling their specialty mason jar drinks ,and when I mentioned I was not interested due to it having too much sugar. She tried pushing the fresh OJ on me . I really wish they do not push the drinks , especially when I mentioned I cant have them. One other thing that did not go well was that my steak, was supposed to be cooked medium rare. But from my picture that I took , the steak is over cooked . Hoping the few issues can be resolved , the next time around .

We stopped in with family and were told by a very friendly woman to pick our seat. All of the tables were clean and we picked a nice table that was already set. Drinks were served while we looked at the basic menu with ample selections. Our orders were taken by a very nice waitress who knew the menu and the selections and we enjoyed ourselves in the nice down home atmosphere. While waiting my wife and cousin were brought Lattes on the house because they noticed I was the only one having coffee. The Lattes were in mason jars and I sampled my wifes and it was delicious. Our breakfast was delivered in a short time and the food was hot and delicious. I have no complaints about this restaurant and if we lived her it would be a regular stop for us.

Good brunch place with a touch of local ambiance. Menu was standard "diner" type. I ordered the Rafaels omelette with a side of fruits, sourdough toasts, and a cup of brewed coffee. Omelette tasted nice with a surprising but pleasant touch of heat from the pickled jalapeno peppers. Coffee was good and fruits were fresh. We ordered fresh milk rather than the present tiny milk containers one would find in convenience shops and the server gave some which was nice. Less one star because I felt waitress was trying to hurry us off.

Sad because I really wanted this place to be a great find and to finally have a good local southern style breakfast restaurant. Biscuits and gravy was easily the worst Ive had. Extremely dry and tasteless. Coffee was horribly burnt. To make things worst, we waited awhile to eat here and then waiting awhile for the food to be served. The waitress kept apologizing throughout the time we waiting for coffee and food, and I will say that the people working there are very friendly.

They dont take reservations, so get there early if you have a large party. We waited well over 1.5 hours to seat 8. The food was good, but we were also starving. It is all its made out to be, the coffee is extravagant (whip cream is loved by kids), the salsa is good (nice kick) . . . I think we were just sun burnt and starving and didnt get a chance to really rate the food.

This place is always crowded but for a good reason the food is reasonably priced well and the service is so awesome your waiters are always polite to you always asking if you need something else you dont get that many restaurants anymore thats why I give it a 5-star because the foods great and reasonably priced and write slap dab in the middle of the history of Niles Canyon
