My sister brought me here some years ago. The atmostphere is like a mom & pops dinner. Its a little old but it adds to the charm, I guess. The service is decent and the prices are reasonable. I ordered the fettuccine primavera - I was with my young toddler and I knew shed eat that. When it arrived at my table, it was awful. There were big chunks of carrots, cabbage and other indistinguishable vegetables that were better suited to be in a stew than slathered in Alfredo sauce. The vegetables tasted like they were parboiled in plain water and thrown on top of the pasta. My sister, having been there before, had the steak and shrimp. She liked her food. I was not happy. Now that I moved to Downey, this is one of the places I avoid. Perhaps I should give it another chance and order breakfast or lunch and try one of their pies...but I cant bring myself to.

While I adore this restaurants salads, I just had the new "Mile High" meatloaf plate. "Mile High" means bout 3/4 inch high total, very thin slices of meat loaf (1/4 inch) spread across the plate like a deck of cards. For the money, and for the name, I expected something impressive. Not impressive. Not impressed. I gave 3 stars because my usual menu item is a 5 star, but the meat loaf dish I received was a 1 star or below. Also, the meat loaf was ridiculously salty. Also, you can set your empty glass on the very edge of the table and watch the waiters walk past. After many walked by without refilling my glass, one who hadnt walked by before finally brought me a refill.

I go to Pieloons almost everyday and have for almost 7 years. I know which times are best to go because they often do have a waiting list. Nobody can beat their patty melts, vegetable beef soup or hot fudge sundaes. They use 2 kinds of cheese on their melts and the hot fudge is real hot fudge not the syrup stuff. I know a lot of people who go their just for the soup. My usual meal is the turkey avocado sandwich and its real turkey not the sandwich meat stuff.. I wont go for breakfast though. They charge extra for an english muffin and to substitute beef for the pork will cost you too. Staff is great and prices are average.

I walked into the restaurant yesterday around 6pm. I rude young lady rolled her eyes as I was walking in. As I approach the cash register she asked me if I wanted a table. I let her know I was just gonna be grabbing a strawberry cheesecake. She packed it for me then charged me for a strawberry cheesecake. I got home and no strawberries on my cheesecake ): very poor experience. This young lady really dislikes her job.

I had the worst experience today!!! Waited to be seated by a waitress who totally ignored us, then got seated by a waitress who brought us coffee which we asked for water..... We had to look for someone to come take our order, when they finally did, it took another 30 minutes to get the food out of the kitchen... Now 45 minutes into this, we just walked out... Too bad cause well NEVER STEP FOOT THERE AGAIN!!!!!

ive been coming here for a while now. the waiters are nice and most of them handsome and in good-shape, which always makes for a good sight, hahahahaha. the food is great, specially the omelets. the burgers are amazing, and the fries are what i like the most; theyre not too salty and cooked great. the deserts are much fun, specially the slices of pie with ice-cream on them. all in all, this place is great!

What i get here is their Kaluah cheesecake, very delicious $12.95. The crust is usually falling apart and such but the flavor is good. Now for the food, i have given this place a few chances with pasta, salads, and sandwiches. I have not found anything in the food that has made me want to come back. Pasta Alfredo was way too oily and heavy. I dont come here for food, just thier Kahula cheesecake.

My family and I went to this place for dinner. We were not happy at all. The food tasted rubbery and bland.The waitress was not too kind. She seemed to have a problem and laughed when I asked her if someone can clean the table and the floor, which was filled with food and had used bandaids. We ordered a pie to go, hoping that would be their specialty, but sad to say... disappointed.

Walked in for the first time, and about 5 minutes later a another couple walks in. They sat them first and then they tried giving us a small table at the back. We asked and she said "oh because its a booth." I dont get how that matters. We were open to a table or booth. Very rude service, we walked out

Very bad service was there for the first time and didnt like it there is no team work if is not your server they will just pass you by even if you are out of coffee or anything and the manager never moves out of the same spot to check on his people dont recommend

The food was amazing! We were in California visiting family and this place was recommended by a friend from Downey. I tried the prime rib and cheese cake. Everyone loved there meal. Only thing I would change is I wish we had this place in Las Vegas. 5 stars!

Pieloon is very delightful,beautiful restroom,its clean,the hand soap is nice and thick so your hands are very clean and its food is so delicious the breakfast and pastas are outstanding as well as the steaks.the cornbread and garlic bread is to die for.

When I lived nearby, this was my favorite place for breakfast. Now that I live far, it is still my go to place when in the area. Amazing breakfast menu. Delicious sandwiches. Good service. Highly recommended.

Awesome. I had the vegetarian omlettet, it was filled to the topw with tasty veggies. The rye bread is the tastiest Ive had in a long time. Great breakfast place
