Family style Chinese food dinning. Though that doesnt excuse heaping plates of inedible food. We ordered pork ribs which came to us *cold* and as chewy as beef jerky. Ordered hot and sour soup that wasnt either (and the vinegar and chile sauce on the table wasnt gonna make up for that) and a chicken in pepper hot-pot that featured the worst cuts of chicken on the animal. At least gizzards arent bone and gristle. The Mongolian beef was the only item that staved off starvation until we could find a better restaurant. And to add insult to injury, the place is *cash only*, even in the 21st century and the BAY AREA, HOME TO ALL MODERN HUMAN TECHNOLOGY, WHERE EVEN THE PARKING METERS HAVE AN APP.

Food is alright if your just hungry, nothing really special. But what I am really reviewing is the service. Service was not up to snuff. We were seated in the corner by the front door where everyone was standing around waiting for a table. To top it off we were by the bathroom. Took for ever for someone to take our order.( not being visible with everyone standing around our table.) Finally someone came and no apologies. And mind you this was the Manger that came over to take our order. Not even a smile! So if you like ok food ok. But if like good service, forget it!!!

in my 30 years eating asian food particularly Chinese this was the worst place ever the food was not cooked very well , I didnt know they dont take credit cards, so they forced me to go to the groceries store to get some cash and leave my ID witch I refused to do , so the manager had to accompany me to get cash from the supermarket. I felt not welcomed been a black man I felt I had the worst service compared to what I was witnessing been done for all of the other Asian in the restaurant...

Seriously dont understand this place would even have customers. Ingredient is not fresh and I had stomachache immediately. And its cash only place we had to walk to the bank nearby to withdraw and pay txt fee. Huge mistake visiting this place and hope the same wont happen to others.

Its a fast food restaurant & foods are good relative to other nearby restaurants but it doesnt accept credit card which makes us to go here less. I like Mongolian Beef here. Pricy but well done. Waiting for changes on credit card acceptance hopefully soon before its too late.

This is really a great restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is great. We go there at least once a week and have never been disappointed in the food. Nothing fancy but its good food. not sure why others have rated it poorly we think its the best.

The food is so so, but staff are friendly. I did not realize that the restaurant did not accept credit cards until the end of my meal. I told them the situation, and they were very friendly about letting me go to the bank to withdraw some cash.

Will NEVER come to this restaurant. Even Chinatown accept debit card. This restaurant only accept CASH??? I ran to the ATM near by and pay extra 3$ on withdraw fee. Service is awful.

I had to return my food twice for having bone fragments inside the chicken. I nearly chipped my tooth. They didnt even apologize and even accused me of planting the bones myself!

The MSG taste lasted a whole day…I drank water constantly trying to wash it away without success. Pretty nasty. My throat still burns while writing this review.

Porridge King serves Chinese food! I love their porridge, fried rice dishes, pork and snow cabbage gravy over pan-fried rice noodles, etc.

Best congee in the world. Parking is a challenge on weekends. Usually no or short wait.
