Love the atmosphere - plenty of outside tables - though admittedly, the view is nothing to look at - few pedestrians & a busy traffic intersection at that - but somehow it works. Inside there are several seating possibilities, ranging from cozy tables by the fire, window seats, lively raucous tables by the fully stocked bar, and quieter in back booths. Theres a private room for small parties - that seats probably 20 or so. The menu has changed from a few years back and no longer has the fabulous bouillabaisse, loaded with fresh shellfish in a rich & spicy red sauce - served with fresh cloves of garlic to rub into melba toast like croutons and to further flavor the broth. But alas, no more. What they do offer is lots of tapas like little plates - so one can excite the palate with the variety of offerings. . . steak tartare, pâté, lamb & pork sausages, salade nicoise with fresh rare seared ahi tuna . . .

For the past decade we have enjoyed The Left Bank, but in the past 2 years they have gone from spotty to downright poor. The service is abysmal. If its not a waiter dripping with sweat (literally, like onto the table, a year ago) then its a waiter who is serving more tables than is possible (tonight) so you dont even get your order in until almost 55 minutes after arriving. When the food comes its missing pieces and sloppily plated, also not very good. Greasy calimari, missing olive salad with a sandwich, had to grab the waiter as he was bolting for the next table to request a glass of wine (never offered!?!). Skip the Left Bank... they have passed their prime.

Tolles Restaurant! Sehr empfehlenswert!

still the best burger and fries on the peninsula but that is faint praise for a french bistro. endive in my wifes salad last time was swimming in water, the side of sauce we requested came cold (as in never heated), and the waiters disappear for endless periods of time. this place was good for the first couple of years after it opened but it seems like guaranteed disappointment now.

Dont change your menu and not update the website. Im a vegetarian and went there in hopes of the menu I saw online. They apparently changed a lot of the vegetarian options. All they had was a salad and sweet pea ravioli. When I asked for other options, they just said no. Good ambience, horrible service for all diet types. Would not go ever again.

We had the best time with our dog at Happy Hour. Sliders (chicken & beef), oysters on the half shell, wine, lemonade, petite desserts, and a large bowl of icy cold water. The nicest service ever! Outside patio is delightful.

Must try their croque madame for brunch; Burger for lunch; duck and trout for dinner. Food tastes great especially their duck. Atmosphere is business casual and great for group hangout. Service is great but a little slow.

Great bar, friendly staff. There food is consistently inconsistent. Too many times have I ordered a $23 entree and have it come out horribly prepared. Stick to the bar, and order salads, burgers and cheese fondue!

The food was good but not as attractively presented as expected. It looked more like what would be served at a truck stop. The restaurant is attractive. The coffee is very bitter even when freshly made.

Shockingly bad food, lukewarm lattes, expired-tasting orange juice in mimosas. Theyre really squandering this location, would be wonderful if someone moved in that knew how to prepare food and drinks.

The food here was excellent, ordered the escargot and steak frites. Loved the service, too. There is much more I would like to try from the menu, cant wait to get back here.

Its a fun spot for a quick bite in a brasserie atmosphere. When it first opened the food was very special, now its nothing to rave about. Slightly pricey.

Locals favorite for French bistro standards. Smart casual setting with indoor and outdoor seating in central Larkspur. Cheerful, efficient servers shine.

if you manage to snag one of the 3 outside tables do it! inside the restaurant is way too loud to have a normal conversation of more than 2 people.

Doing it up right for as long as I can remember - Awesome burger n beers on the sunny patio - doesnt get much better. Salad Niçoise like no other.

The happy hour menu is the main reason why I come. Smaller plates of steak tartare or mussels for $7-9 dollars.
