First off, be warned that parking is atrocious on busy nights. Secondly, if you can help it, make a reservation. The night my family and I went, the restaurant was packed. The wait for a party of 10 was over an hour. When the hostess learned about the number in the party, she made sure to make her disapproval of the large number obvious. Then she made sure to let us know that she was giving the people who were at our table dirty looks because they were taking too long. Once we were seated, the waitstaff was awesome. I ordered a green enchilada with chicken, and it was tasty. Everything served is fresh, right down to the salsa served with the chips. The highlight was the dessert -- tres leches flan. It was the creamiest flan Ive tasted in my life.

This is the nicest Mexican place in West Seattle, but thats not saying much. They do things that I like, such as making decent Guacamole and using fresh lime in their margaritas. However, they also sell said margaritas for $8.00 and make the "mix" ahead of time, so they are way too sweet for anyone who likes real tequila... The food is hit and miss. They have a great "chicken fried chicken," but none of their food is consistently good --probably due to the very small kitchen for such a huge restaurant. Watch out for the servers offer of guacamole when they bring you chips: Its not free, it costs like $7.50, Bottom line is that this place is mediocre quality food in a big flashy room. Expect to pay $80 for two people if you each get a drink.

One of my favorite happy hour spots on Alki! Theres a reason that several Cactus restaurants have sprung up in the Seattle area. The food and atmosphere are great at each location, but this one in particular maximizes on the view with lots of windows, and on nice days they open big doors to the patio, which lets a nice breeze in, as well as the sunshine. The bartenders always seem to be making mojitos in spite of margaritas being a focus of the drink menu. They have a nice selection of lighter beers on tap, and a solid food menu with a fresh spin on traditional dishes. Overall, Cactus is a great choice, regardless of which location you find yourself close to.

My girlfriend and I stopped here for brunch and were amazed at the decor, the atmosphere and, most importantly, the food. We tried the breakfast burrito and chilaquiles (sharing both) and the flavors were not overpowering and extremely authentic. Delicious chorizo flavors melded with peppers made the burrito fantastic but get the sauce on the side if youre sensitive to spicy foods. The chilaquiles were great s well and had a ton of meat and cheese. Our service was also great; we were seated by the manager, who checked on us twice, and our glasses were never less than half-empty thanks to our waitress. Try the flan dessert if youre itching for a sweet finish.

Jose and Joaquin were my servers tonight so I am writing this as I sit here and drink a nice beer. These two went above and beyond for 2 reasons. 1) I told them I was from Kansas City and was new to the area and 2) they saw a great customer that they knew was going to give them a great remark. I hope this goes all around to theyre manager because they have 2 awesome workers that love theyre customers I am greatly appreciated for theyre hard work and efforts to give customers what they want. They loved to chat and make good interaction, I hope they are long time employees so you better keep them.

I dont care for the atmosphere here. And its expensive and foofy. Its crowded and loud. I prefer a place where there is some more space or dividers between the tables and youre not eating with the people sitting at nearby tables. The food is technically good; is well prepared and innovative, but is not my cup of tea. I like more conventional fare. I think a lot of people come to this Alki restaurant more for its location and status as a hot spot - to be seen and show off. My mom and sister love this place, mostly for the people watching I think. My dad and I arent so keen.

I usually go to Puerto Vallarta for my mexican food, but I decided to give this a try tonight especially with the beautiful weather. Deff not coming back. Waiters all were so slow, especially at giving me water and taking my order. Even after waiting 30 minutes, I still had to wait at the counter for someone to finally bring us to our table. And the portions...wow...I am not a child...I expect a big portion, ESPECIALLY if I am paying 15 dollars for a plate of food in a Mexican restaurant. Deff will stick with my Puerto Vallarta Mexican food in the Junction.

Always good food and good atmosphere. Staff works hard and is very polite. I like many of the dishes and appetizers, I found that almost everyone finds something that appeals to them. Drinks are made well, some of their special cocktails are fantastic. Being on the beach front makes for a energetic crowd and wonderful view. In the summer they open up huge bay doors. They dont take reservations, but if you have a big group they do a great job getting you seated. Great for family, friends, dates, or celebrations.

The salsa was decent but was too heavily based on tomato paste and not enough spiciness, but since its Seattle, I wont hold it against them. Food was good. Enchiladas were non-traditional as the tortillas were flat and not rolled, looked more like a tortilla sandwich than enchilada, but the taste was excellent so didnt take anything away for the non-conformity. The location is excellent, right across the street from the beach. Get a seat next to the window for a good view.

Really tasty cold brew coffee and food! The salsa, chips and guacamole are all delicious. I had spicy camarones tacos and they were tasty - very well-seasoned! The service was great as well; even though I was by myself finishing work on my iPad in the bar area, my server was very attentive and helpful with her recommendations. The view of Alki beach & the Sound is wonderful as well, with outside dining available too.

I was so impressed with the service and the food. It was one of the best dinning experiences ever. The food was soooo incredibly good. I had the stuffed zucchini blossoms, which I recommend trying before the season is over. YUM & YUM.... There are a lot of restaurants that should take notice of you treat your customers. This was my first time eating at Cactus, but certainly will not be my last.

We first stopped in the late afternoon just for appetizers and a couple drinks - it was such a great experience we came back for dinner. We happen to get the same waiter both times - he was great, he knew the menu, my wife loved his dinner suggestion, he was super friendly, and the food (and drinks) were fantastic. When youre at Alki beach my wife and I highly recommend this place!

The food and service are usually good when dining in. But one thing I will never do here again is order takeout. The portions are not even close to what you would get when dining in. And thatss if you get what you even ordered. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and got a cheese quesadilla that looked like high school cafeteria stuff. That alone just dropped my rating in half.
