The Toasted Barrel was along time coming and Im very happy they arrived. The menu selections include several different proteins and even a good fish selection. Overall, the menu offers a strong selections of appetizers, salads, soups and even strong dessert selections. Certainly focused on an American or Chop House, but very well done and literally something for everyone. The new décor and design is very tasteful, a great color palette, wonderful wine selection and a really fun waiting area in a mini-wine cave. Overall, once inside, its hard to believe it used to be a Cocos! Finally, the staff are well trained and an abundance of servers as well as assistant servers. Its nearly impossible to hit bottom of anything youre drinking and never an empty plate lingering. Clearly, the staff has been trained, staffed for outstanding service and friendly by design. Very well done and certainly appreciated! In closing, go.... Go tonight, you wont be disappointed and do save room for the mosaic dessert!

Excellent!! Staff is knowledgeable about their products, they are polite and engaging. You can trust their recommendations. When you sit at the bar at any place you can usually get the rundown of a restaurant, sitting here you can tell that ownership treats their employees well. Food is excellent, pasta, steak, tacos, side dishes...there is care in the preparation of the meals. Atmosphere is everything. Bar and lounge is dark and intimate, perfect for a date or to unwind from work. The dining room is a little more bright and inviting. Tables are well spaced and keeps from getting too loud. There is also a outdoor papatio area with a fireplace for those cool nights. I highly recommend this place to locals and travellers like me. There is a hotel right next door that I stay at when I visit for business.

The Food & service were good; nice ambiance. Cost vs portion size was completely unacceptable. Ordered two pasta dishes; portion size was bad. Included a small chicken breast; the pasta nearly completely fit underneath it (see picture). The portion could easily fit it a cereal bowl with room to spare; the bake ziti plate seemed even smaller. These plates likely costs $3 to make; charged just under $20. The costs isnt a major issue, but for pasta, I have to at least leave full (at that price I should be able to take home leftovers). I will stop in again; we want to try the diver scallops & rack of lamb... But Im fearful that those plates may be even smaller.

Went here for brunch with my family over the weekend. Fantastic ambiance and very upscale. Staff was incredibly nice, accommodating, and social. Its unfortunate that the location is a bit odd but that doesnt detract from the experience whatsoever. We tried a variety of entrees and each was delicious in its own way. We werent in a hurry and planned to have a very leisurely brunch, which was good since the wait time was a tad bit longer than we wouldve liked. But again, it didnt take away from the overall experience. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Who would ever think a restaurant named toasted barrel, would have the ambiance, food and personality of a fine dining experience, but it does. Corona now has many option to dine, but upscale restaurants, are limited. We have one that copies its sister restaurants in Orange County, but only equals their experience in price. Toasted Barrel has the quality, but the prices fairly reflect the area. You might ask, why not 5 stars?. Perhaps, in time, when diversity and experience polishes, what a already is a wonderful culinary experience.

We had a party of 14, with reservations 3 weeks in advance. When we arrived there was not enough space to accommodate us all. They move us to the bar area and pushed tables together. While some us us received our meals, others had to wait. By the time the last meal was placed on the table, most of the party had already finished their food. The last entree was cold as if it had been sitting in the back. The manager came out to apologize but offered no compensation for the horrible service. Definitely not going back there.

Ambiance great. Seating tight in booths for 4 adults (we are all of average weight), dim lighting. Great place for red meat (lamb and beef), not so for seafood. I personally ordered scallops, $37 for 4 average sized scallops, baked potato, and steamed version of broccolini. Wasnt happy about the value for meal, also scallops (2 sandy, all seered at too high of a temp, so outter skin rubbery), some may ask why I didnt speak with them since my mother was paying and didnt want her feeling bad. Chaulk it up for experience.

Loved it, a bit pricey. Had the charcuterie, prime rib sliders, 2 stiff drinks, and dessert. About 75 bucks during happy hour. My problem is the operating hours. Yes it opens at 11:30 but the dining area doesnt open until 5. You only know this because the waiter will tell you. Nowhere online does it specify the hours. Atmosphere is nice, dimmed lights, jazz music (live). Pros: ambiance, drink menu, desert menu, service Cons: a bit pricey, hours not advertised online

The atmosphere is upscale, but the food is affordable. The patio has a fireplace, and the lighting Inside/Outside is low. The menu is more Tapas/Appetizers that you can mix/match for a group, but there are also 10-15 Entrees to choose from. They are still fine-tuning a few things after 2 weeks, but I have high hopes for this place as a Happy Hour/Dinner/Date destination.

A new restaurant. We went for a family event, and it was fun. The chef sent an appetizer. The food is good. Theyre working out the "new restaurant" kinks, but its worth checking out. Its on our list of quality restaurants in the area. The bar has a patio that will be a sought after site in spring and summer.

I dont find it to be very special. I had the albondigas and it really wasnt that tasty. I was disappointed that they advertised that they were now offering margaritas just to find out it was made with SOGU. Nope! I have had SOGU many times and it is not something you can use for making a Margarita. SMH

Good atmosphere, decent to very good food. I had the carpaccio and calamari. Calamari was better of the two of you can believe that but both were quite good. Service was nice and came around often despite being busy overall. Definitely a place to see for yourself and enjoy.
