2.5 Stars Breakfast review ================================================================= Gluttons, unite! Prepare the bloodbath @ the breakfast buffet! BOGO coupon in hand, and here we are! What?!? No more fried chicken for breakfast? Sonofa....... Alas, Ive been told that to keep prices low & because of the people that gorge on the fried chicken at breakfast, the restaurant did away with serving it in the mornings. Dang nabbit! Normally, AYCE bacon & biscuits/gravy would automatically receive 3 stars from me, but I docked HTB 1/2 a star because most everything else didnt really appeal to me. Omelette bar - Meh. The egg was overcooked & I would have preferred more ingredients, like avocado, available. Dessert bar - Nada. No soft serve/ice cream, no cakes & pastries. Just cinnamon rolls, ambrosia & some fruits. Salad bar - Good. Ive always liked the salad bar at HTB. Lots of ingredients & different salad choices. Im not an iceberg lettuce salad fan. Id much rather have spring mesclun mix or spinach salad, with either a vinaigrette or Caesar dressing. Hot items - I mostly helped myself to endless piles of bacon, biscuits & gravy, some sausage, eggs & nachos from the taco area. The nacho cheese sauce was very watery & unappetizing. Other items I didnt partake of were the oatmeal, grits, pancakes & waffles. Nothing remarkable or extraordinary, but OK. Seating - Ample but can get crowded as the day goes on. There is also a banquet area for special events. Restrooms - Yuck! This is a buffet, folks. More toilets are needed! The million dollar question - Would I come back? Only if I had a BOGO coupon again, and not anytime soon. I used to love Hometown Buffet, but have found that as I got older, my tastebuds agree less & less with what Hometown Buffet is cookin. Just an observation. If I wanted to go on a bacon binge w/ biscuits & gravy for some variety, then I may make the short trek here. NOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

went on a sunday evening. it was pretty busy and the food was not up to par. everything needed to be refilled and when i asked for something they said ok, but it never came out. i was very disappointed and told the manager so. he told me that they were having an off night and that my family and i could come back for free. he took my name and number. when we did go back 2 weeks later, the new manager, and i believe owner ,said she had no idea what i was talking about and asked why should she believe me. needless to say i will never go back there

Went for breakfast with my two teenage sons. Staff is friendly. As it a buffet there is not a great deal of interaction. As the other review mentioned you can have as much mediocre food as youd like. There is nothing there that is particularly appealing. For breakfast at least I think youd be better of at Mimis cafe or Dennys. The same price or a few bucks more and youre eating food you actually enjoy

Food was definitely up to expectations. Clean facilities. Courteous staff. Sufficient variety of items but wish there was a little more. Attentive management. Clean restrooms. Worth the money. Definitely recommend to others And will dine here again.

One of the cleaner Home Town Buffets. Selection is kind of boring at times, especially during lunchtime. Try to find a coupon before coming, price is a bit high for the lack of variety.
