Me and my family has been a regular customer of PGB for almost more than a year. What we love about PGB is that the price is a good deal, the food is satisfactory, and the variety of food is pretty good. We have hosted small family gatherings, small birthdays, and celebration events here throughout the past year. I have been acquainted with whom I suspect is the owner (although he wont admit it) and have made PGB a regular place for a family dinner. That being said, their overall quality of service and the staffs concern for customer satisfaction is HORRIFICALLY poor. Many of the staff are okay and respectful but a small handful of bad apples ruin the experience of our dinner on several occasion (especially the hostess in which I had have to file a complaint to management for her attitude and rudeness twice---but I am sure management refuses to discipline or fire her because they reliant on her to handle guests that speak English). It is apparent that no effort was put in training the staff and no emphasis was placed by the establishment to have any concern for customer satisfaction, even for its loyalest customers. Several minor incidents have occurred throughout the year. Recalling once, I went up to the sushi bar to grab several pairs of disposable chopsticks for my family and I, a waitress stopped me and asked me why I was taking so many pairs of disposable chopsticks. She was suggesting that I was stealing chopsticks and bringing it home. Upon bring this up to management, she confirmed that theory and admitted that was her rationale. Despite this, we forgave her after management handled this accordingly. Today was the final straw upon visiting PGB though. Upon tell the head waitress that we were a party of three, one adult, two seniors, they asked for an ID to verify for age. This was highly surprising, as we have gone through the same process for the past year and never been stopped by her to check identification. My parents refused to do so, stating that we are regulars and that this was what we have done so every time upon entering. Both my parents are over the age of 65 and my mother just so happen to not bring her ID since we went for a quick dinner. They refused to let us in without showing identification and we were FURIOUS. Mind you, this whole ordeal was so they could bring in extra revenue of $1 (Senior pricing is $1 off). Because of this, we have decided to never go back again and to end our relationship with PGB for other Asian buffets near our home. It is a shame that such a place had been marred by such terrible service and such poor culture and regards for manners, customer satisfaction, and respect. I truly hope management recognizes the potential of the establishment and replace or train their workers to at least show some decent respect and regard for customer satisfaction.

I would have given this place 0 stars for their 0 performance, quality and service. This place has zero respect for their customer service. If you are looking for quantity over quality, then this still might not be the place for you. As we are seated, seemed to care less about our drink order.. since I had to flag the big lug down to ensure, by diabetic father did not get regular coke, but diet. The bench we were seated at was covered in crumbs, the table had not be wiped down. The food although the options, were of low quality. The snow crabs, once cracked open were grey and shriveled indicating the extended frozen state. The large beef roast, was tough. The meat was not tender, and was difficult to take down. The baked muscles were slathered in some mayo mixture. The rice was hard and dry. Most dishes ended up over salted. The dessert station, is the oldest driest cupcakes, probably left over from your nearest bakery, The sushi bar is the only redeemable station is the sushi bar. The seaweed salad sushi/sashimi were a good value for the price. But the icing on the cake really is the customer service. No one ever came by to bring our receipt, so we walked to the front, hoping to prompt the cashier. The waiter finally shows up with the receipt, snatched my card from my hand and began to charge me. I was NOT given the opportunity to review the receipt, to ensure that I was charged correctly. Sitting during lunch, we overheard 2 other guests about the bill. Good thing I did because, sure enough it was incorrect. Lucky I was able to take my card back before the transaction. Speaking to the person who "seemed" to be in charge I asked for an apology, and he just nodded. I refused to pay until he acknowledged his staff should know better than to snatch cards from customers hands. He continued to just nod his head, speaking to someone else in Chinese, that he would not be apologizing. His response was they ddnt charge me for the incorrect bill. Which if yoube been following wasnt event the issue. An eye roll of an apology was finally made, and we left. DO NOT COME HERE. This was out of convenience bc of its location near the West Covina Mall.. Please Please go somewhere else.

I love the variety of food. Very reasonable price too. I bring my vacationing guests from the Philippines to this restaurant and they are impressed by the quality, taste and variety of viands offered at such reasonable price. Try it. Of course, Im a frequent customer. They have sushi, sashimi , salads and fruits for figure-conscious people too. In other restaurants, your $10.00 plus will entitle you to only about 2 choices of food in limited quantity. Here, you have about 15 choices in unlimited quantities, plus ice cream and five choices of soups. What more can you ask for your $12 plus? Its a spectacular bargain. Good deal and balanced , healthy diet. Parking space is huge. Place is so clean, especially the rest room.

All you can eat sea food and sushi, as well as other normal food from like Chinese restaurants. Sea food is good clams mussels and sometimes oysters and other sea food that is in season. Sushi is good they have a big selection from raw fish to vegetarian sushi. They have a salad bar too and a section that reminds me of a Mongolian BBQ were you pick what you want like noodles, meat and vegetables and they cook it in front of you. Good soups and dumplings. So much you can chose from. My favorite all you can eat place to go.

Its too pity that this low quality restaurant in fact located among busy shopping places & next to busy street. So the expert is right : dont judge book by its cover. Dont think that this restaurant service as equal as pur high expectations. Foods were dried, snowcrabs were fishy, charged kid with adults price without notifying customer, Waiter hardly understood English & often mistaken what customer have ordered or said. Food selection : dont have many varieties, ice cream melted right after pressed from machine

The one good thing about this place is the price. The food is just ok. The sushi didnt have much flavor. Some of the hot dishes were too salty. They do offer a Mongolian type bbq section where you can make custom noodles so thats another good thing. Unfortunately I came home with a huge headache and it must have been from something I ate. I wasnt the only one that got a headache.
