Maybe theres a new chef, maybe its the new menu, and maybe they were disappointed with the business that changing things up was the only way to go. Either way, I have to say that things took a bad turn here, six months after my first visit. I recognized one of the waiters, Kamal (possibly in a managerial position), who still had that gentle courtesy to all the customers. This at least was a relief. He explained that they switch up the menu every year, so our menu didnt look the same as the first time. Its a shame, because there wasnt anything unique about this menu. Same curries, pakore, parathas, etc. For appetizers, we ordered the chili chicken and the chicken pakoras. The pakore were rather plain (to be fair, pakore are never really exciting) and pretty heavily "breaded", so I didnt really get to enjoy the chicken too much. The chili chicken had this odd chili paste smeared on, which was a little unnerving regarding food quality. Also, the chicken pieces were on a bed of RAW onion slivers and sliced green chili peppers. It just seemed like there was very minimal preparation with this appetizer. As I bit into one of them, the chicken was eerily soft, almost undercooked! I turned down trying any more of them. For entrees, I tried the vegetable korma and the classic chicken curry. The vegetable korma was very good! The curry was flavorful and as spicy as my liking. The chicken curry, however, was not so well prepared. The masala was spiced heavily with a clove flavor, which is supposed to be very discreet in the mix. I could also taste an excess of cinnamon, which doesnt really pair well with a dash+ of clove. On the plus side, the chicken was cooked to tender perfection, so there was one thing enjoyable to the dish. The final grievance I have concerns the mango lassi. First, no more free refills. BUMMER, but I guess it was my fault to expect that to keep for long. Such a shame because the lassi is actually very good! My only problem was that it was not chilled as much as I wouldve liked. At the end, the waiter brought some complimentary gulab jamun for the table. That was very nice of them! Whats more, it had pretty much the right amount of syrup in it: enough to keep the fried dough ball sweet and juicy, but not so much that you feel like youre drinking sugar. Good job! Overall, another typical, average Indian restaurant. Unfortunately, I feel that I have to change the original rating I gave them to three stars for food.

I went online to get the phone number of this restaurant and decided to look at the reviews.I dont know who these people are who wrote the bad reviews but I suspect them of owning competing restaurants or something. My husbands business is in Buena Park and since going to this place, we have become addicted to Indian food. The lunch buffet is around 8 or 9 dollars and worth every penny. It is the most economical way to eat here. We eat here all the time and have brought lots of our friends, business clients and family at different times. We just LOVE it and when you go be sure to order the garlic naan bread. We have tried a few other places for Indian food but are always somewhat disappointed and end up right back at India House even though there are closer restaurants near where we live in the Brea area.

AMAZING !!!! As assistant producer of a USC graduate thesis film shoot, we were in need of food for the whole cast and crew. We soon came upon India House who ended up giving us food for 50 people COMPLETELY FREE in return for tax deductible benefit. Regardless, their kindness and generosity is beyond the roof and they absolutely have some of the best Indian food I have ever tasted. They also have a program to help those who are starving in the streets. I absolutely love the vibe, the food, and their overall mission. I cant say enough.

Best ever seriously Ive been to about five other places from Costa Mesa, GG, Fv,Anaheim None of them compare. He peoples who work here are friendly will explain the food if you need them to. And a wonderful assortment on their buffet. Seriously if u havent tried it its worth it. I have a Indian food restaurant right down the street and another even closer but I always find myself going the extra mile because its worth it:-) btw the history of the place is pretty cool its beet around a long time. :-D. -m.s.

Today i was craving some ayce indian food, and remember i wanted to try this place out upon accidentally parking in front of the restaurant. Went inside to try out the food, just typically like any expensive indian buffets, this one also had their variety of food. The food was definitely delicious. My preference, The Pan with Butter Chicken, Spinach, and the Lamb/Goat meat. I definitely putting on my list of to go here again! :)

1) The customer service was NOT GOOD (the waiter was too slow to bring out the garlic naan). (2) There were not very many vegetarian and chicken options compared to the $11.95 per person lunch buffet price! (3) Being the first one at the restaurant, I must say that the tandoori chicken was not fresh at all (too dry and lacked the proper seasoning)! (4) Mango Lassi was NOT included in the $11.95 per person lunch buffet price.

Best Indian food! It is soooo good. My boyfriend and I came here bc of Google searching "good indian food" its a little restaurant that is ALWAYS busy. Expect to wait 15-30min for food so come a little before you hungry. The waiter is awesome and all the staff are very polite always saying please and thank you. Really love this place. The food is just amazing. Chicken schwarma and tandori chicken is the best around.

First time at this restaurant. The man at the front was incredibly kind and patient as I decided what to order. He even explained a few of the dishes and the differences in the way theyre made as well as the flavor. I love Indian food and have experienced quite a few places that werent so great. But the food here is amazing! I will most definitely come back and will tell everyone I know about this place.

Great yummy food, its an A- but as many say it may be the best buffet for Indian food. The tandoori was little dry but still tasty. Everything else tasted okay.. didnt like the music playing was rave music it hard to chill relax with rave music playing in background good for dance but not eating good food you want to taste savior the flavor. Overall I will return many more times. New favorite place.

The best indian restaurant I have eaten at. The chicken tikka masala was the best I have ever had. And the garlic naan was very warm and soft. I ordered for a family of five and it was only $49 for the whole dinner!!!!!- Including appetizer and main course. You wont regret coming to this restaurant to eat. The service is also very nice. The waiter helped us out on choosing courses numerous times.

When youre a fatass, so as soon as you wake up you crave Indian food and drive to the closest Indian Buffet next to your house. Table for 1 please! Did I mention its only $9.95 with unlimited Garlic Naan!? The joint is small so if you come during lunch rush hour, be prepared to wait! Alot of the locals love to eat here because it is delicious, has a great price, and the service is also great!
