Brunos evokes all the small-town charm that is Carmel. Friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere. Their produce is fresh, well maintained. Their deli counter prepares ready to go ahead of time, and made-to-order sandwiches for the lunch crowd. Expect a 10+ minute wait for a made-to-order sandwich if you arrive after 11:30 on weekends, and often on weekdays. ( take note of whether or not they are using the order tickets, which is usually the case around lunch). Worth the wait. Full grocery store, wines, fresh breads, smoked meats, and hot cooked lunch offerings.

Some great meats and treats. The brownies and poppy seed cake at counter are great as well as the tri tip sandwiches and Sparkys root beer. Huge selection of off beat sodas. Quite pricey, but its a rich mans corner store. I did get bad food poisoning from a sandwich many years ago, but chalked it up to a fluke.

Went out to Carmel for dinner and hubby and I both decided we just werent up for spending a lot, so went in here for the sandwiches. Very yummy and reminiscent of Publix from down South. The sandwiches are huge. They even warmed up some ravioli for my 2 year old they had on the carry out shelf!

Rude cashier, youll get more personality from a postage stamp. No hello upon check-out or offer of thanks for my patronage. Is this Carmel charm? Theres no excuse for poor customer service. If you dont like your job, leave it, but dont be sourpuss. Smiles are free, pass it on.

I went here to get some snacks while staying at the comfort inn. The prices were very steep. For example the milk was $7 a gallon. I wouldnt return here a second time. I gave them 2 stars because the store was clean, there were no lines, it was convenient and parking was easy.

Great place to pick up some hot Mexican food, sandwiches or sushi and head to the fabulous Carmel beach. Staff at the deli counter are very friendly and will heat up a frozen item, if desired. Having a grocery store, with many options in Carmel is awesome for this small town.

So many quality goods, local products abound, best sandwiches in Carmel (and a lot more reasonably priced...), awesome staff, gorgeous produce... Some premium things are a bit pricey, but still reasonable for what youre getting. Love this place.

I got into town late after a 2 hr drive from Oakland. I got to Brunos front door to get something to eat and drink to take back to my room at 8:01. The clerk pulled the door shut, said "were closed " and walked away. Nice place!

I run in here to get lunch sometimes. The grocery prices are high, which I happily pay for the in town convenience. The deli is well stocked, the staff helpful, friendly and efficient. Worth a stop if youre in town.

Brunos is just the best market ever. They deliver, they have the best meat on the Peninsula. I have been shopping here for many years. The staff is helpful and their takeout is delicious. Way to go Fermin!

Very convenient since there are few regular stores in Carmel, but you pay a bit more for the convenience. The pre-made meals such as tri-tip or enchaladas are great. Parking is easy.
