I found this little joint on Google and I am so glad I did. We were car shopping in Carlsbad and I badly needed a reasonably priced meal that wasnt fast food. This place really hit the spot. I had the linguine vegetarian, my husband had the tortellini with chicken, and my children each had their own personal thin crust pizza. They were all delicious. We finished our meals with decadent tiramisu and German chocolate cake. Heres an unexpected benefit: they sell Coca Cola in bottles, just like in Mexico! We were thrilled because, of course, Mexican Coca Cola just tastes better. The staff was friendly and the service was prompt. We will be sure to come again on our next trip.

This is our "go to" place for take-out pasta. We get pasta there almost every Saturday night, bring it home and pair it with a good bottle of red wine. Its like eating in an expensive Italian restaurant at 1/3 the cost. I can speak first hand and highly about the following: lasagna, carbonara, linguini puttanesca, tortellini pollo, and spaghetti and meatballs. My wife loves their hot turkey sandwich. She also gets their pizza now and then, but I find it a bit too basic. We have been going there regularly for about 10 years and have never had anything but a great meal. Call ahead and your order will be ready for pickup in about 20 minutes. Enjoy!

The second thing I noticed ( Ill get to the first thing later) was friendly service. Everone had smiles and friendly attitudes. I also saw that it was busy, which can be a good sign. The prices seem reasonable, also. My husband and I ordered 9" specialty pizzas each, so they run a little higher. The pizzas were delicious! I would have given Primo a 5 star rating. But, back to the 1st thing I noticed. Its small and theyve crowded in too many tables. But there is seating outside,which we enjoyed on a warm night. Also, it took awhile to get the pizzas, but in their defense, it was busy and the pizzas were worth the wait.

3 stars for the pizza itself. I ordered the BBQ chicken it was good not great. I wish the cheese was little cheesier the texture was more like wax. The sauce was flavorful. The bread was okay as well nothing special kinda rubbery not soft or doughy enough. But 4 stars for efficiency of ordering the pizza online & delivery services. They were prompt and very professional. I would try this place again but instead of ordering online I would eat there and try something new. The minimum total for an online delivery is $15. I paid $22 for a small pizza & a dessert. That included tip.

My family was visiting the area and staying at a hotel. Primo was one of the few places that would deliver. My wife had the shrimp with fettuccini, my kids split one meat lasagna, and I had the chicken and artichoke heart with fettuccini. The food was very good. Mine had plenty of chicken. Portions were generous and included garlic bread. It took about an hour for the food to arrive, which was fine. They included utensils, Parmesan cheese and cracked red peppers, which was important to us, especially the utensils. The delivery guy was friendly as well.

This place is too good. Sometimes it takes a little while for the food to come out, but so worth the wait. Im not gluten free, but a friend recommended theirs to me so I recently tried the gluten free pizza crust here and, omg, she was too right. Soups are super good too, especially with the cold weather coming around the corner itll be awesome. Ive only tried a couple pastas and they have all been delicious.

I have been going too Primo Pizza for the past 6 months. Lunch and Dinner, they are great! Im originally from New York and I think Primo Pizza is better. There Raviolis are great, the Sauce is fantastic. Everything I have ever eaten there is delicious. They have this chicken Linguini dish they call Linguini Pollo Puttanesca to die for. The Chicken Parmigiana is very good. I eat there a lot as you can tell.

Visited Carlsbad from Utah and I stumbled into this place after a long 3 days of amusement parks. The guys were awesome. Chatted with me and made me feel at home in their place. Got my pies and went to my hotel. Holy crap.. Amazing. SO GOOD. My wife is from New York and she said it reminded her of home. I will definitely come back to Carlsbad, if not just for the pizza.

Best things come in small packages!! Ordered Mediterranean Pizza,Cheese Pizza and a Salad( Had fresh mozzarella, artichokes,tomatoes,greens,olives). Everything turned out awesome. Owner patiently helped in picking the right size of pizza and flavors.Crust of pizza was awesome and ingredients were fresh.It was just best pizza I ever had.

This is one of our favorite local restaurants. Excellent pizza, and their sandwiches are also very good. My favorite is the turkey oregano sandwich. They share a very pleasant patio dining area with a couple of other restaurants. Pickup orders and deliveries have always been timely. Very friendly family-owned operation. Park in the back!

We came to visit SD and we stayed here in Carlsbad at a hotel and we ordered from Primo Pizza and they delivered just in time and let me tell you that was the BEST pizza I have tried!!!!! You could taste the freshness in each ingredient. I Highly Recommend Primo Pizza!!! We are WOWED by this PIZZA!!!! I will definitely be back!!!!

Best take out Italian food in North County, affordable and always tasty ... Friendly staff, easy parking, and usually no more than a 10 minute wait ... I usually get one of the many dinners and a side of sausage or meat ball, and the antipasta salads are loaded with cold cuts ... It’s my once-a-week break from my own cooking!

Primo Pizza & Pasta a great neighborhood casual eatery. We walked in and it smelled like an Italian Grandmas kitchen making us very hungry! The linguini with shrimp was delicious as was the lasagna. The food is cooked to order so you can taste the freshness. The prices are reasonable and you get generous portions.

We ordered the ham and salami calzone, small cheese pizza, and cheese ravioli with marinara sauce for delivery. It arrived on time, still hot with a pleasant driver! The food was fabulous and they even included disposable plastic ware since they knew we were staying at a hotel! Well definitely go here again!

Best tiramisu ever! Their lasagna is also amazing and you can order Italian sausage and meatballs for super cheap. Their limoncello cake is also super yum yums! This place is tucked away near Ralphs so little bit hard to find but they deliver! Also always have coupons for pizza which I havent tried yet.

Amazing pizza! Super fast delivery. Accomodating staff! Terrific wings! We got chipotle and hot.. Fantastic. This pizza had the Brooklyn/Bronx style crust, delicious sauce, a crazy good amount of basil and plenty of the 4 cheeses. (Yes, we had a custom Quattro Formaggio but added sauce. Yum!!

Called at 8:30, when they close at 9. Very rude, could easily tell the work ethic in the worker I spoke to; lazy and not helpful. Said they cant deliver. Told them I could pick it up since I live within 5 mins. Said its too late. They start closing in 5 mins (8:35). What a shame.

Wouldve liked to try the place. The ad in the paper said delivery service to Carlsbad, but Im over a mile outside the delivery radius. Begs me to ask the question, Do you deliver on foot? Literally wouldnt go the extra mile to gain a new customer, guess Ill go elsewhere.
