I dont normally write reviews online, but I was so impressed with the quality and preparation of this amazing food, that I just had to share. After receiving a flier in the mail I decided to give them a shot. I think it was their logo that caught my eye, surfing the sandbox, clever. We ordered delivery. The BBQ Betty was choice #1. The crust was light and crispy, the bbq sauce smokey and savory, the bacon, well its bacon, it was very lean though, fresh onions, and the piece de resistance, banana peppers. Ive never seen them put on a pizza of this sorts, but it was truly incredible. 2nd the Protein Salad, just sheer perfection. Next delivery involved the Vintage Charlie SoCalzone - crazy good, and I dont like sausage, The Wedge Salad and the Super Cheesy Bread - I did have to spend extra time in the gym, but it was soooo worth it! Now, Im going to have to actually go to their location, I hear its great. But if they keep delivering me these fresh, hot, awesomely tasting dishes, maybe Ill just stay home and watch Game of Thrones.... Hope you enjoy as much as I did...

We stumbled upon Sandbox a few months ago because living up on Mt Soledad only a few places deliver to us. We lucked out to say the least. The pizza is fresh and delish, they have so many fun different types of pizza and a wide selection of "make your own styles". The meatballs are SOOOO good. My husband and I usually fight over the 3rd one. There other food is awesome too. All the wings are great, and the grinders too. If I had to force a complaint just to be believable I would say I wish they had buffalo wings that werent mega spicy, and they need a new ranch. The ranch they use isnt our fave. I have given their menus out to a bunch of other people because its really so much better than other places around. And, they are usually to our door in under 45 minutes, usually around 30! Cant beat it.

This place is awesome the buttermilk bliss is too die for!! I dont know who the cook is but he is doing it right!!!!!!!!However my only complaint is the price its a tad pricey for pizza but if you could look past 10 inch pizza for 12.99 then I highly recommend this place. The wings are great too nice and crisp they are cooked to perfection I got the regular wings with ranch and compared to other places that has wings like dominos,Pizza Hut or Buffalo Wild Wings they came out better than all three. I went during the day for lunch for pick up and its pretty good because the wait time is minimal compared to dominos who take forever and mess up your pizza. They definitely do live up to the San Diego Hype that they are given and other reviews have said!

I love this place! They have great pizza, great beer, cool atmosphere and good service. I come in here often for lunch because I work across the street and its always a great spot to grab lunch for under 10$. Their pizza is good, their subs are great, they even make their own meatballs! Their pizzas are kinda pricey for being the size they are but, I dont mind cuz I love this place. They have great daytime drink and food specials and also late night happy hour as well. I usually sit at the bar and the service is always top notch. The bartender is always very friendly and its easy to keep occasional conversation and they are always very attentive! Rain is one of my favs but, I havent seen here in awhile!!

Wow. The pizza at this place is incredible! Their Sandbox pizza absolutely kills it. Soft warm crust, and a certifiably savory combination of pecans, Canadian ham, salami, mushrooms, tomatoes, and Holland cheese! Thai chicken pizza loaded with chicken, and a bbq chicken pizza covered in banana peppers. I have not had a pie I didnt like from this place. Definitely bringing over all the homies for the games. The people that work there are great, friendly, and really make you feel at home. Service can sometimes break a restaurant, but at Sandbox Ive only ever had an excellent dining experience. This is now my go to spot for great pizza!

This is the BEST pizza spot in PB! A very fun, beachy atmosphere with TVs, foosball, and shuffleboard makes it a great place to hang out. The staff is super friendly and every time I’ve ordered delivery its come quicker than expected! More importantly the FOOD is delicious! The crust is addicting (which they use for the grub sticks...YUM) and the veggies are always fresh! My favorite is the veg out pizza…try any kind with pesto sauce and you wont be disappointed! Lots of great creative options on the menu beyond pizza too! I am stoked this place opened up, it is definitely my go-to for great service and great food!!

The food here is amazing however,The service not so much. We have been in a couple times and had horrible service both times. Our latest experience the service was horrible. The server working our table was more worried about cleaning than helping us. We waited at least 45 minutes to get our food and at least 15 minutes before some one even came to take our order ( the delivery service is way faster) and never had her check on is while we waited . We had to ask multiple times for sides of ranch as well as refills of water and the place wasnt very busy at the time.

THIS PLACE IS BOMB! I get delivery from here like twice a week, I think Im becoming addicted. At first I would just get Sandwiches (which are awesome, I totally recommend the Marley). Now Ive been getting pizzas for myself and my buddies and we all love it. The delivery is super fast and the drivers are really chill. Ive also eaten lunch here a couple times and the atmosphere is great, I cant wait till they start serving beer too. I have to agree with one of the comments though, it would be awesome if I could use my Fivestars card here too!

Drink-A- Palooza
I have to admit... right when SandBox opened up I tried their pizza (slice) and it was pretty horrible... reminded me of day-old Dominoes so I took about six months off from them. The other day I went back and found out they no longer sell pizza by slices... so i tried their small personal pizza and it was amazing. About to order one right now since we are partying and playing the Drink-A-Palooza drinking game and need some munchie food. Looking forward to it and glad I tried it again and gave them a second chance!!!

The atmosphere of this place was extremely chill and open with a ton of awesome TVs everywhere. I CANNOT wait until they are able to serve alcohol and when they do you can sure bet your butt that I will be there until close eating their amazing pizza. Rainn was our waitress and was very knowledgeable. Her warm and inviting personality really topped our experience. I would suggest this place to everyone!!! By the way we had the Hungry Surfer Pizza and let me tell you...#YUM -Garnet, Julez and AJ

Ahh the Sandbox. Usually a place i remember for throwing down as a todler, but this adult version of a childhood icon is the perfect place to sit back and grab a slice. The atmosphere is almost as friendly as the wait staff. The last time i went in Rain was extremely attentive and was our guide through our Sandbox experience. So, if you are looking for a place to chill and eat some great food, I recommend the Sandbox.
