"Its an explosion of flavor in your mouth" -said my friend as she was giving me the lowdown of what she ordered for our group. And yes, it was nothing short of that. This was my first time having authentic Indian street food and it was so delicious. Where has this been all my life?? Everything I had was full of flavor and spice. So SO good. **this review is mainly for newbs to this food... heh We started with the Pani Puri. It consists of a round, hollow, fried pastry shell filled with chutney, chili, potato, onion and chickpeas. You fill the shell with a cilantro water to the brim and consume the bite sized snack in one bite. Wow, explosion of flavor, texture and spice. Warning: You must be able to handle spice!! I came with someone who couldnt hang; yay more for me :]] Just kidding, I shared. These are so delicious; we each had our own order of Pani Puri (6 per order) Masala dosa: Think a thin, slightly sweet crepe stuffed with potato in the middle. This comes with a soup (lentil like) and coconut cream sauce as sides. You can dip dosa in these sauces or just eat them by themselves. You can also order the dosa without the potato in the middle. The dosa was slightly sweet and nicely crisped on the outside. This was a nice balance to the heat and flavors from the other dishes. Delhi Chaat: Fried pastry shells mixed with potatoes, chickpeas, beans covered with a yogurt sauce and sweet/spicy sauces. Very delicious. Those shells stayed crispy to the very last bite. Bhel Puri: Rice puffs with potatoes, beans, onions, cilantro covered with a sweet and spicy sauce. Also very delicious. This was more refreshing and lighter than the delhi chaat. Wonderful blend of flavor and texture from the puffs, beans and oninons. Chole Bhature: Like Naan, but not oily. It comes with this chickpea stew/soup that you dip the bread in. The bread was soft and yummy. I liked this soup flavor better than the one that came with the dosa. All in all, everything I tried was full of flavor and tastiness. Not to mention, our dinner was less that $9 and we were stuffed. Now I just need to move closer

Well, the all samples that tasted great, had poor packing. With reference from one of my friends went to Farsan, and tried some of the INDIAN Chat which were amazing & wanted to share some snacks with few friends near my home, and brought few packets for them. The red / hot gothiya was amazingly tasty and brought 1/2 lb. along with some more 1/2 lb. packets of Bhakarwadi & few other snacks. Out of the 4 packets, 2 of the broke their Thermal Sealing manually done, ending everything served on the CARPET, crap !!! Id have been more cautious to save the second packet, but it was my other friend who opened it. So, be sure triple check your packets before you leave or you will end-up with your snacks served to the carpets ;( Good Luck !!!

I did a search on "thali," the Indian combination plate thats great for a solo diner, but somehow chose Surati, perhaps the only place that *doesnt* serve thali. You enter and there are cases filled with UFOs (unidentifed food objects). Anyway, the host/owner put together a great dinner for me of 3 items + paratha/bread along with a mango lassi. Not particularly hot/spicy to my taste, but, then, I like Thai food about as hot as it comes, so who knows what others might think. Easy to park out front in the evening. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Free wi-fi.

We recently visited Disneyland in LA for 5 days and stayed in Disney itself. Surati Farsan Mart is about 15 miles from Disneyland, but we drove every evening there to have chats and veg thalis. The food was so good and at such a reasonable price that it was worth driving 15 miles after the whole day of disney. We tried pretty much every single chaat, thali, puri and falooda. I think falooda could have been better, but it is still the best I had in US so far. And yes, sweets and farsan also seemed fresh. We got bag full of sweets and chivada on our way back.

Been there today with wife and 2 year old. Place is neat and lot of options for snack and sweets. Dahi Sev Puri was best, mini-thali was also good. Masala Dosa was average. Sambhar was little bit spicy so my 2 year old did not enjoy it much but my wife and I did. All items were not over priced like other places. For all those above items it was about $17 in total ! Last but not least, they had a Sweet Paan which I had after long time. Overall, place reminded us of a snack shops in India and we had good time.

The food is downright pathetic, there is no way of giving less than a star otherwise I would have given that, I ordered masala dosa and delhi chaat. The potato stuffing was utterly bad and delhi chaat didnt resemble anything in vicinity of chaat. The Indian coffee was just 1 tea spoon of coffee stirred in glass full of hot milk. I tried the same restaurant 3 times initially giving it a benefit of doubt but the food turn out to be bad on all 3 occasions which proves that its consistent bad recipe or cook.

This is my go to Indian Restaurant in this area. I have been here at least 50 times and I still dont get bored of their food. They have typical Bombay style chat items to go with Gujrati and South Indian dishes. Quantity is typical of the chat dishes so you may want to order a few. Prices are reasonable and taste is mind blowing. They also have a thali option to cater to your buffet cravings. Place is always crowded being so famous but the wait times are no longer than 10 minutes.

I dont generally write reviews but I expect honest service for money I pay. They have good quality snacks and food but last few times Ive started noticing that they scrimp on quantity - for example the Thali comes with one Table spoon of vegetables, barely enough for few bites. Yesterday I noticed that Falooda had 2 tea spoons of ice cream and virtually no Falooda. And worse part is that I dont even have a large appetite, imagine some one with healthier appetite walking in?

I placed an online order & when I received my package the mango Burfi had mold all over it. They did not put it in ice or anything to keep it cold. I took a picture and emailed them. Never heard back so then I called them asking why no one ever responded back to my email and was given a lame excuse that they probably forgot. They didnt care one bit. Worst customer service. Needless to say I didnt even get an apology. I will never give them by business again.

The service was terrible. The staff has got an attitude problem....ESP the the 20 something kids....taking the orders think they r doing u a big favor by taking ur order...will not go there again unless the place is being closed down or auctioned off. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE ESP since I went there with my family and parents for an early mothers day celebration. IGNORE THIS REVIEW/WARNING AT UR OWN EXPERIENCE.

Poor service. Problem Started after ordering food. It took 20+ minutes to get partial order, when asked about the rest of the order its coming with a attitude was the girls reply who was calling out the orders. Really i waited for 20+ minutes, looked like the orders were prepared not in order, and gosh no courtesy to tell the rest of the order was missing. Carryout is best at this place.
