Great food, great staff and very nice service. I have been regularly visiting this place and found that the policies are very customer oriented. Sweets are fresh and have a wide range of snacks. Food Tried: I have tried Jalebis, Imartis, Habshi Halva, Pinni Gujia, Combo meals, several Dosas, Samosa Chaat, Dahi Sev Puri and Mirch Pakoda. Dosas have a bit different taste than I am used to but I have liked Dosa Burritos the most. There are several other things I havent tried but will try soon. They have tea made in Indian style is an added plus. Customer Service: Once I was there just about 10 minutes before closing but the staff arranged for my dinner and offered me to have food at their place. Very nice people. I highly recommend visiting them.

Summary based on 1 dinner: --open on Monday, unlike a lot of the Pioneer strip --cheap, even for Artesia hole in the wall restaurants --ok to good food --friendly service, but slow --parking ok in the adjacent lot in the evening, at least on weekdays --not that big, so dont show up with 15 people --I didnt find it dirty, as other reviewer noted, but a bit disorganized on table cleanup. Rated A by the health department. Several combo meals available, but not like a thali with rice, raita, etc.

Whenever my family and I go to Pioneer, we always go to this place to get indian snacks and sweets. This place is well known to have the best indian snack and sweets in Pioneer. The employees are kind of rude though. Their attitude is very back home like indian attitude. The employees should be trained a little more in how to serve and attend their customers. They dont come off as friendly. The old man there is nice though. I think hes the owner..

In my review I inadvertently wrote a review on the grocery store, which has the same name. Ambal cafe, located in Cerritos serve south and north Indian food. For breakfast this place was packed and attracts a trendy crowd and tourists. The Sambhar, known as lentil curry coupled with carrots, drumsticks, didnt taste like authentic, it was watery. The rice cakes were not fresh and chutney was too pungent and sourish.

Always a tasteful and wonderful experience whenever I have tried their various snack selections. I love the fact that they have been able to maintain good quality food consistently. I have been visiting Ambala Sweets & Snacks for the last 20 yrs plus. One cannot go wrong with the snacks, Mithai, Dahi Vada or any of their selection. Oh, and I love their tea.

Always a treat to have food from this place. Delicious menu options and snacks. One thing though, the space! Its so crowded all the time! They should expand to bigger and more spacious area. Ill still go to their new spot so they wont lose me as a customer!

I was on visit to LA last weekend and wanted to grab some sweets from this store. Took 5 kinds of sweets out of which Jaleebi is only good. All others smell like oil and made my condition worst just my a bite. Everything went to trash.

We are experienced in sweets, we are from Pakistan and the gulab jaman we got were the nastiest gulab jaman that we have ever tasted. They had the consistency of rubber we had to throw all of it away!!!

The chilli pakoda is a must have here. Also they make super fresh jilebis here in the evenings and the price is also reasonable. Didnt like the chai and aloo Puri here. World not recommend them.

My forever favorite place to go when I am missing back home food. They make it exactly as it is!! The only thing that prevents me from going there is the staff men "stares"!! Very annoying!
