My roommates and I go here every once and a while. The food is mouth watering. We each get -cravings- for our favorite dishes. Its not just sushi either - there are several authentic Japanese dishes such as cucumber salad, fresh water eel and teriyaki chicken, and theyre always willing to do things to order - for example we like sushi rice instead of white rice with our chicken and theyre fine with that! My friends and I always split a side of chicken (its big enough and they dont charge us extra) and buy separate rice bowls to avoid paying $20 per person for an individual teriyaki dinner each. Still, after a couple of appetizers, sushi rolls, and a main dish our bill is never less than $50. It was $68 last time before tipping (there are 3 of us and we share). My only complaint is how small and close together the tables are. There is -no- privacy and its as loud as a bar, but how packed they are has to be wonderful for business. Youre going to need a reservation!

This place is absolutely amazing. They have real traditional rolls that are outstanding. I highly recommend this place over sushi spot who is non-traditional. The sushi chefs are absolutely wonderful with am amazing attitude and willing to answer any question you have with complete honesty. I asked for a recomendation from the kitchen and there advice was the best things I have seeked all year. An absolute must if in the area.

Had chirashi sushi. The sashimi portion and size were very generous; however, the sushi rice was terrible. Barely had any vinegar mixed in. We also had to wait for a long time to get our food. The waitress was very attentive and gave us complementary mochi ice-cream which was nice.

I very much enjoy Tomo. They have well done traditional style rolls, overlooked classics (such as the lunch noodle bowl, and spicy salad-style scallop nigiri, oh and grilled shishito peppers) as well as new school vegetarian/CA style rolls.

Food was amazing and a great family setting. Our server Echo was on point! She made some suggestions that my lady and I thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely be back with the type of service and food Tomo had to offer. Thanks again Echo!!

Good sushi. Usually go here if sushi spot is too busy or if Im with a big group. I have had both great and horrible experiences with the staff. Apparently splitting the check between two cards is unheard of and utterly ridiculous... lol

Worst service ever! Our waiter was terrible. Waited an hour before she told us "a few more mins" waited another 30mins and left. Everyone else was getting their food and we were ignored. Worst place that Ive ever "tried" to get food at.

I love this place! Great atmosphere. Great food. Always a great time. The sushi is great, many choices, always delicious. I also absolutely love the teriyaki salmon and chicken. Great dishes as well. Would highly recommend.

The food was very good. The atmosphere is relaxed and convivial; full of noise from friendly conversation. They had sippy cups for our kids as well as booster seat and highchair. I recommend getting a reservation.

Went for lunch. The portions are big for a lunch. Cant imagine the dinner portions. The sushi roll had a decent portion of fish. Their sauces and dressing are very tasty! Service was friendly.

Probably the worst sushi ive had. Rolls were poorly made and fell apart. Fish was mushy in both rolls we got. The steelhead special was good but did not make up for the sushi or bad Moscow mule.

For Humboldt sushi, this is the spot. No sushi in Humboldt will blow you away. So this place at least has a full bar, room to banquet, and excellent service.
