What a lovely gem of a restaurant tucked away in Cannon Beach! I was delighted to enjoy an evening here recently. The service was impeccable, the food exquisite. The Irish soda bread with rich, creamy butter was pure comfort food. A house salad of organic field greens, radishes, aged Irish cheddar, and a red wine herb vinaigrette was a wonderful start to my meal. And, the Vegetarian Shepherds Pie was a masterpiece! Wild mushrooms nestled in a personal pottery crock of savory rue were topped with a hearty, yet fluffy, cloud of colcannon potatoes and served with a fresh herb salad. I sat out in the coffeehouse-by-day section of their restaurant that they lease from Sleepy Monk coffee and enjoyed the ocean breeze as I took in the gorgeous setting sun. The atmosphere was incredible. This truly was a restaurant visit that could not get any more perfect. But, it did! Oh. My. Word. It truly did! I was asked if I would care for dessert. Saying yes was one of the better decisions Ive made in life. I know. I know -- pretty dramatic. But, youll agree when you have some of their FRESHLY MADE raspberry sorbet. The accompanying butter cookies were delicious, too. But, the sorbet stole my heart. I had the joy of speaking with the owner afterwards and found out his wife is the chef. I asked him to give her a kiss on the cheek for me. She truly puts her heart and soul into the myriad of flavors, textures, and beauty of her food. The Irish Table and her staff deserve a standing ovation. Well done! And, thank you.

This Irish riff restaurant boasts a charming rustic atmosphere and a small but thoughtful menu. Our experience; the service was very good: attentive yet unobtrusively watchful: i.e. waters were kept full without hovering, etc. As a party of four we had a reservation so we didnt have to wait: this is a very popular place and every table was full within minutes of the 5:30 opening. Our experience with the food was less than totally perfect but wed still recommend it: a nice wine and drinks list from which we all had variously great drinks, everyone receives a lovely, steaming warm soda bread & butter starter. The seafood stew was honestly spectacular with a creamy, unctuous base and a generous portion & variety of perfectly cooked fish within. Great crisp salad. Entrees: the "wagyu top sirloin" wasnt that by a stretch.. unpleasantly fatty and some gristle. The colcannon may have been warming for awhile (a little gummy) so it wasnt great either. However, the vegetarian Shepards pie was spectacular: great crust, delicious, very fresh local (?) mushrooms. A fabulous chocolate creme pot dessert was a nice finish. We will be back; next time well try the ribs which seem to be the favored standard..wish we had tried them this time!

Love Cannon Beach. Loved Irish Table when we came here a year ago. Unfortunately, my fiance and I had purchased a dog in the meantime and the Inn we were staying at had listed the Irish Table as dog friendly. When we arrived we found out that certain days are non-patio days on which they cant serve parties with dogs. We were clearly disappointed in the situation and asked to speak to the manager since we had heard two sources of information. The manager at first was friendly and answered our questions calmly and we left. However, before we reached our car in the parking lot the manager came out to defend his wife who we had apparently upset by asking questions. Admittedly, we probably came off a little rude with our questions but we never used any profanity or raised our voices. The manager thought this behavior warranted him coming outside to verbally assault us with profanity. Completely uncalled for and unprofessional. Would not recommend based on the staffs handling of the situation.

We arrived about 8:30 with a party of 11 as were at the beach on a work trip. Was advised they had no room and 20 minute wait, we advised that we only wanted to have some drinks and were told there was some seating out on the Patio for 21 and over. Headed out to the Patio and there were 2 park bench tables available. There was another table occupied with some patrons who were smoking and sitting on their table. Given that there was 11 of us we turned the 2 picnic tables so they ran length wise and we could all sit together. The host comes out, and in a rude way laughs tells us no way we can turn the tables and they dont allow that. Also its a fire hazard and what not, paying no mind to the other smoking and sitting on their table. Very poor experience, very unfortunate being so close to the Resorts across the street as well. They must be raking in cash though as they have no issue turning people out.

Very disappointed. My husband and I waited for an hour and a half with our baby to be seated. They knew we had a baby and failed to tell us they dont have any high chairs. When we were finally seated, they put us in little wicker doll chairs stuffed in the corner of a tiny room and told us they dont have a high chair and asked if we wanted to leave. My husband nearly fell through the wicker chair and any normal sized man that sits in it for more than one minute will likely break it. We decided to go down the street where we had to wait another hour before we could eat somewhere else. Thanks for nothing, we were hungry and you made our night really hard. Its pretty difficult to find a place to eat in cannon beach after 7:15 without having a least an hour wait. We were planning to drop some $$$ there too.

Terribly disappointed with their policy. A week ago I made a dinner reservation for four for Valentines Day at 5:30 p.m. Today (12th Feb) I called and advised them to change the reservation from four to two as our friends could not make it, figuring they would appreciate the revised head count. Well ... no good deed goes unpunished: the man on the phone told me, emphatically, that our entire reservation was terminated. Period. And the door closed in my face. Whats the chance Ill be able to find a nice restaurant for Valentines Day dinner, now, for my wife and I, especially on Presidents day weekend? Heretofore weve always had a wonderful dining experience at the Irish Table. Terribly disappointed with their policy, very tough to swallow, like inedible gristle-meat.

We had dinner there last night at the suggestion of the Inn at Cannon Beach desk people. OMG, the food was out of this world. Albiet the menu was short, what they did was take the ordinary and make it extra-ordinary. The staff and management were not only pollite but very appreciative to be the first choice of locals and visitors alike. The Seafood Chowder was perfect, not the usual "potatoe and carrot" fair but rather rather a generous mix of coastal crustations and fish. If you like lamb, there is only one word that descibes my lamb chops - heavenly. Try it, you will not be dissapointed.

Oh my- two words that escaped my lips after my first taste of leek & potato soup, one of tonights specials. We visited on a Sunday and experienced no wait at all. Our server was incredibly friendly, the vibe in the restaurant was nothing short of enchanting and the food. Oh the food. Everything we ordered was so fresh & delicious. At the risk of sounding cliché, our entire experience tonight was magical. The Irish Table is awesome and could truly be a great reason to plan your next day trip to Cannon Beach.
