This place has got to be the most awful BBQ Ive ever eaten. I came here because I saw it had great reviews while I was stopping over night in Little Rock. I should have eaten anything else but here. Its located in a strip mall. We came here for dinner and sure signs I should have known to stay away was there was hardly anyone here for dinner time. The store has a ton of BBQ trophys lining the room, which completely fools you to thinking this place is going to be good. Im surprised there are so many trophys, since it appears to be a chain with multiple locations throughout the state. I ordered the Ultimate Platter, since I figured it gave me a good sample of just about everything they had to offer. Hmm where to begin, everything was cold. Not a single item was hot or remotely warm. The cheesy corn was watery corn. The baked beans were nasty. The roll was about the only okay thing on the whole platter. The meats were all cold. The ribs were dry. The chicken was dry and tasteless. The beef, Im not even sure I even got any. The pork was also cold and tasteless. The potato salad was marginally okay. Everything was terrible. Even the atmosphere was terrible. I have no idea how this place got sure great reviews. Everything was awful, from the food, to the atmosphere to the seating. The presentation of the food was just as bad as the taste of the food. I would never come back nor recommend this place to anyone. If it were possible to give this place 0 stars, I would.

Hadnt been in a while, but really wanted some ribs tonight. Very disappointed. I cook ribs at home based on a recipe from friends who have been cooking at Memphis in May for the past 25 years, and Whole Hogs wouldnt make it through the gate. These were way over-brined and too salty. Minimal smoke flavor and zero smoke ring. A skimpy 6 bone half rack, made up of mostly bone. Meat was mushy, greasy, with a little crust slathered in a sugar glaze that ruined whatever little flavor there was. This place has been going downhill for the past few years and theres no excuse. When the supermarket up the road has better BBQ, its time for this bunch to revamp how theyre doing it.

This location is my favorite. The staff are amazing, and the award winning barbecue is even more amazing. The prices are reasonable, and the food is worth what you pay. Every time my son comes into the restaurant they treat him like a king. One day on his birthday they brought us all back to see where they cook the meat, and they let my son take pictures with the kitchen staff, cooks, and serving staff. Every since then he has wanted to go back every time we eat out. Not only was it great for the kiddo. Its great for the parents. The food is top notch, and the service is good.

As soon as you walk into Whole Hog, you will immediately smell all of the delicious smoked meats that they are serving. You will be reminded of the restaurant after you leave, because you will smell like barbecue for the rest of the day if you eat in their dining area! But thats a good thing. And all your co-workers will know that you had some fine barbecue for breakfast. I always get a pork loin sandwich, and it is very good. It stays together better than a pulled pork sandwich, and you get a bit more spice via the rub that surrounds the loin.

Best ribs! Tender enough to pull off the bone, but not mushy at all, they dont need sauce with the great Smokey flavor, yet they have 7 sauce flavors if you like. Cafeteria style ordering, nice heavy cutlery, and offer beer and wine. Michael our waiter, was an absolute joy to meet, very friendly and attentive. We split the ultimate platter which included a bit of everything, 4 meats, 3 sides, a beer and a tea set us back only $30.

Had the 4 ribs and side of beef brisket with baked beans and coke slaw. Ribs were outstanding, no sauce needed. Brisket was good, but I added sauce (theres 6 to choose from, all delicious). Cole slaw was s little more bitter than I prefer but tasty. Baked beans were excellent, with a bit of pulled beef in them. Wasnt busy when I went at 5 on Saturday night. Definitely recommend.

I consider myself a pretty good BBQ critic and am pretty hard to impress. I try to get BBQ in every city I visit. Was very impressed with everything here. Beans, slaw, pork and ribs. The big First Place Memphis In May trophy (Thats the world championship bbq competition) in the entry proves this place is legit. Will be back next time I fly into Little Rock.

When you first come into the restaurant the smell is intoxicating and it looks like you have stepped into a trophy shop. The pulled pork sandwich and the bbq baked potato are my favorites but just about everything on the menu is excellent. To feed a family of three it can be a bit pricey but I do not mind paying for quality food.

Was not impressed. The ribs were dry, the coleslaw was not so good and the chicken was dry. The potato salad was tasted like more vinegar than much else the big chunks or potato was nice but the taste was not at all good. From all we have heard about this place they must have been having a bad day.

Five stars for what it is, a laid back BBQ joint. Had the whole hog platter, pulled pork, beef brisket, and ribs... all were well above average. Slaw and potato salad were individually the best I can recall having. Very large portions, and reasonably priced.

This was right next to the place I trained at in Little Rock and I ate here almost every day! This BBQ place will send you home full, sleepy, and smelling like the whole hog! I enthusiastically recommend this to ALL BBQ enthusiasts. Real Southern BBQ

Whoever rate this above 2 stars obviously have not tasted good bbq. The meat was so flavorless I had to drench each bite with sauce. Dont waste your time and drive to Memphis for some decent bbq. And if you want out of this world bbq go to Austin.

Great food, the pulled rib meat is my favorite. Their baked potatoes are the best, you could eat them plain and love them. Very few places know how to properly bake a large, fluffy potato, but they do and then they pile it with great smoked meat.

Some of the best bbq Ive ever had outside of Memphis. You have to do a double order of their potato salad, its to die for. The pulled pork was moist and melted in your mouth. Plus the array of sauces on the table pleasure the palette well.

Tasty ribs and pulled pork. Felt like the brisket should and had more flavor, but it was still good with their #4 BBQ sauce. If definitely stop in at again. The also have a location in the little rock airport that is like to try some time.

Hands down, best BBQ in Little Rock. 6 different in house BBQ sauces at the table. Try the Volcano BBQ if you can handle it. (You have to ask for it, they dont put it on the table.) I like to mix it with the sweet sauce on the table.
