Im going to differ with the previous reviewer on this one. I visited at lunch recently with a few coworkers. We were greeted and seated in a reasonable amount of time. Our waitress came to the table soon after we were seated and took our drink orders. Things went pretty much as you would expect for a quick in and out lunch. Heres what I like and didnt: Lets begin with service- Our waitress never managed so much as a smile the entire time we were dining in. She seemed overly rushed even though it seemed she was only taking care of three tables with no big tops among them. One in our party specifically asked if onion rings were counted as a normal vegetable, only to be charged $1.10 extra at the end of our meal. Our server just wasnt up to snuff. I know that judging a restaurant solely on the competence of its staff isnt wise, so Ill talk about the food. The previously mentioned onion rings did not disappoint. They were crispy, served hot and were similar to ones weve had elsewhere that pleased. One in our party got a burger, which was "nothing special." I never tasted it, but it looked passable. Two of us opted for the small BBQ sandwich. The sauce tasted like something out of a bottle, and I think theyre using KFC coleslaw recipe; lots of water, no taste. The meat was tender, but served almost cold. My sandwich had bits that were dried, almost like it had been put in a fridge overnight and not covered. My fries were crispy and hot and may have been the best thing about my meal. On a suggestion, I ordered the BBQ beans which had great flavor, but at 1.79 a portion, I think maybe they could be served in something other than a tiny, glorified ramekin. They, too, were a bit on the cold side. Overall, Ive given this place a two stars, because it wasnt bad enough to complain, but it wasnt good enough to make me want to go back, ever. On a side note, the guys across the aisle were supremely pleased with their peanut butter pie, enough so that the another piece or two was ordered after the first two were brought. Maybe they were on to something...

Arrived at 6:30 PM, 1-15-2016. The seating was immediate, and drinks came quickly. Entire service was very good. Meals were brought in approximately 10 minutes. Party of four, all ordered the Chopped Pork Dinners, with different vegetables. My dinner was barely luke warm. by the time I added BarBQue sauce it was cold. I tried all the sauces and the mild was the best not great but better than the others. Hot was just plain Hot, no flavor. Spicy was vinegary, etc. I questioned others in the party and their food was barely warm. all parties used the mild as they agreed with my opinion. I got up to get another bottle from another table and it was almost empty. Hot/Spice bottles were full to the top. I went to another table and same was true. Everyone must favor the mild for the flavor. It is very hard for me to believe this is a 3rd generation restaurant. Unfortunately I will not be returning. food was nothing to brag about. Just read on the internet that the new owner took over May 2015. Service was good/quick. Atmosphere was good. What they need is a good chef that knows bar-b-que.

I went there by myself. The back corner was empty so I asked the waitress if i could sit back their and she kindly said yes. First I tried the tea, because I heard it was the sweetest but when I got it I felt it could have used alot more sugar. So I moved to a soda. I ordered the BBQ Brisket sandwich (I think thats the name.) It actually came out very fast. Faster than I expected. (So of course I thought the sandwich was pre made). It was really good but actually kinda small to what I thought it would look like. I also tried the Bbq Nachos with fritos. They are not good. It would be okay without the beans and sweeter BBQ sauce. But I do not recommend you order it unless you just want to try something new. I also bought a slice of Peanut Butter Pie. It could have been better but it was nice. This place is nice if you know what to get and what taste good. But for people like me. Its just a place to go to and say Hey I went there. If you wanna try something new and you have BBQ on your mind Go here. If your looking for a good meal (which means you leave full) and conversation this is not the place.

We called at 5:49pm on a Saturday night. The background noise was so loud both the young man that answered the phone and myself could not hear each other, the man stated "sorry my coworkers are fooling around". After having a difficult time placing a to go order, he was very unprofessional and didnt seem to know how to do it. I should have known it would only get worse but I always try to give a second chance. I ordered $59 dollars worth food and was told it would take 40 minutes to be ready. When my husband arrived exactly forty minutes later he was told " were screwed man, we are out of fries. You want another side instead." Then he had to wait an additional 10 minutes for two ears of corn. When we did finally get food, everything was cold, dry and flavorless. The burgers were small and over cooked. The onion rings were cold yet brunt. The substitute corn cobs were frozen and microwaved. We could have gotten better service and tastier food at McDonalds for less than half the price and I dont even like McDonalds. Please save yourself the trouble do not eat here.

We havent eaten here in awhile because the service was so bad last time, but we were desperate for some barbecue. We were delighted to find that the servers they have now are excellent...we were immediately greeted by a blonde girl, and our waitress, a brunette, was very friendly. She checked on us often, got us refills, and made sure we were happy with our (very, very tasty, very very fast) food. Keep these two girls (and give them raises) and well keep coming back! I highly recommend the onion rings, and their sweet potato was perfectly cooked. I also appreciated that their sauce was on the table, not already on the sandwich, so I could customize how much or how little I wanted.

I am sad to learn that the Smokehouse has closed for good. :( We have eaten there since they opened. The menu had a wide variety of choices and was a great place to grab dinner in a hurry. Their BBQ Pork sandwich was as close as you could get to the old Shack in Little Rock, partly because the previous owner was from that family. When he retired and sold the business it started going down hill, but it seemed to get back on track. However, the service was lacking but the food was still good, mainly because Mikey the cook was still there. They also had the best old-fashioned grilled hamburger around. Yes, I am very sad that they are closed.

I have been to the Smokehouse BBQ dozens of times and have never had a bad meal there. The service is good, the food is great and the peanut butter pie is tremendous. Their spicy sauce is my favorite. The only reason Im on this page today is that I looked up their number so I could order some sliced turkey. A lot of my coworkers and I used to go there 2 - 3 times a week. They all work on the road, but whenever they make it back to Conway, they always want to go back to Smokehouse. My wife always gets a cheeseburger and theyre her favorite in town. Nice people, great food. Give it a try.
