If you want an extremely upbeat club style sweaty bodies grinding. Two extremely loud bass from some hip hop artists that had top chart singles for strippers to dance to kind of place..... Then stay the hell away from White Water tavern. if youre looking for a extremely mixed diverse group of people from the poorest to the richest black white Hispanic Asian it doesnt matter theyre all there they all mix and mingle and its still the coolest group of people working and patrons you will find in a bar in Arkansas. Matt white and his gang new they wanted that bar when they were young and have done beyond expectations now that they run it. you will not find a more diverse or down-to-earth group of people patrons and employees alike. oh and did I mention is also the greatest venue for local or live music around. one night you might have Billie Joe Armstrong planking away is greatest country tunes with rhinestone dancing, and the next night could be a 80 style punk band with girls with short black hair and torn black stockings even though theyre new. but there is never one set group or click... You got hipsters, hip hopster, rhinestones and diamonds. Mohawks to mullets, cowboy boots to no shoes. Ive been going there 15 years and have never once seen a fight. between the atmosphere, the live music, and Matt and his crews undying dedication to make the place great, you will not find a better place to buy beer and have a good time then white water tavern

Stopped by one Monday night on a business trip after being recommended by the folks at a downtown pizza place. The place is not easy to find and is tucked away intentionally near a railroad bridge. I was immediately struck by the crowd - nearly every male had a beard and looked either hippie, biker, or homeless. They ranged from very young (21+) to mature (55+). There were 15 people at first, and more piled in later. Everyone was very friendly to me and I had no trouble making conversation with strangers. I was kind of miffed by the prices for well drinks ($4.50 for house bourbon and coke), so I switched to longneck PBR for $1.50 since apparently its the beer of choice of that crowd. The building is very dark inside, but is actually decorated very in a trendy way. They make no effort to cover up graffiti and it has an overall well-worn homey feel. No live music that night, but would be a great place to see some. Id go again.

I love Whitewater Tavern (WWT)… it’s my favorite dive! WWT is the most eclectic and eccentric place and the patrons reflect that. The crowd is age, culture, class, style and race -diverse. You see all types and that is my favorite part about it. It’s the most unpretentious place… you can be free to be you… if you want to get crazy or keep to yourself… you can just be! Best food, cheap beer and music in town! You will def. have a uniquely wonderful time.

I have been to this bar many, many times, and it has slowly evolved into this elitist hipster hangout where you have to "be somebody" to have respect. The beer is cheap, sometimes flat, but always cheap, but the atmosphere is not what a dive bar should be. Why not just open up a regular club if it comes down to catering to certain "types"? Definitely wont be back.

I love this place!!!!! The people, the food!!!! They have the southern salt food company here during the evenings. The drinks are great!!! No cover!!!!The music is live and anywhere from labamba to blues and pop is played. Pleasssssssssssse make sure you come

Not as crazy as it was 10 years ago. I guess we all change with age! But still a great place. I miss Goose! N the foods great! The bands start a little late for me. But the sound checks are lots of fun!

Always the best music venue in LR, hands down. Staff is fantastic, owner books the best bands of all genres, the atmosphere friendly, and the stylings are eclectic. Doesnt get any better.

This is *the best* dive bar in town, and perhaps in the mid-South. Where else will you find suits chatting with bikers, both enjoying a PBR. Great music, great folks.
