Real nice spot to grab one of these bottled cold brews and get some reading/planning done to start off your Saturday! Unfortunately, theyre closed by the end of a typical work day and arent open on Sunday so Ive only gotten to visit on a Saturday, but the place wasnt busy at all, featuring only a handful of small groups having conversations. Music is prominent and whatever is being played is clearly a feature for the allure. Finally, theres a spread of medium tables outside, small tables inside that you can really only fit a laptop and your drink on (pictured) and finally a large community table inside as well.

Im not a coffee drinker, but I was in from out of town and was looking for a place to escape the heat. I tried the cold brew (from a cool apothecary bottle) over ice and it was the smoothest coffee drink Ive ever tasted. The staff (Jake I think it was?) was super friendly, giving me some great tips for where to eat/drink in Phoenix, and telling me a bit about the company and their coffee. I wish they sold the bottles online so non-locals could get some shipped, but its probably for the best since I foresee a coffee dependence in my future if that were true...

The staff at Royal Coffee is top-notch, and the lattes are better than you can find elsewhere around campus. Plus, tons of plugs along the extended bar inside, so Royal has been a great place to go before or after class, and its super-accessible with the Light Rail stop just across the street.

Royal Coffee is a GREAT place to grab excellent coffee or tea. Friendly staff, good Wi-Fi and a laid back atmosphere. You cant go wrong ordering anything here. They took a space that was formerly part of the old brewery and made it in to a cool coffee shop. Give em a try...

Hot latte just isnt ever hot enough. I want my latte hot. Piping hot. Hot enough to be dangerous. So I go the whole extra block to and from Starbucks. I love your style and location and vibe and Im there a lot, but I dont love your hot lattes, only because they arent hot.

Honestly best coffee place i have been to in Tempe. The place is always clean, fast, and friendly. Only complaint is that its not open on the weekends when im craving a good cup of 2pm coffee, but it is perfect when you are on your way to class/work!

Great place, with nice.people! Fantastic place to meet others for a coffee or espresso. CLEAN tables, with great eclectic music offerings. They go above and beyond to please their customers. They make me feel like its MY coffee shop!

Best cappuccino in Tempe. Most other places give you a latte when you order a cappuccino, but here they actually ask if youd like your cap wet or dry. They definitely know how to craft the foam and make it how one would expect.

I love royal but I just drove 15 minutes off the highway to get their coffee and they have been closed since 1230...even though all their hours are posted as 3. Just really frustrating.
