OVERVIEW - 3 If patience was a form of currency, would I never have been able to afford my meal. I came here with my wife and daughter on a whim, we were next store at 7 Eleven, and were hungry, and figured Chinese would be a good choice. I found it comical that they were cashing off the name of Mulan (in this case, based off the Disney cartoon). There were some framed artwork of Mulan above some of the tables. Found the restroom rather gross as well, and was extremely hesitant helping my daughter to use the toilet... LOCATION - 4 A reasonable location along State Street not too far from the Salt Lake Real Stadium, and next store to that massive event center. PRICE - 3 For two meals plus additional spring rolls with a large drink it came to around $24. PRODUCT/SERVICE - 2 I ordered something Im rather familiar with, sweet & sour chicken, with fried rice. I noticed their Cashew Chicken and mentioned it to my wife, so she ordered it. My sweet & sour chicken was a typical dish youd find at any other Chinese restaurant. My wifes Cashew Chicken, was a soar disappointment, and thats putting it kindly. We counted four cashew nuts on the whole plate. The vegetables heavily (and I emphasize the word heavily) out-weighed the chicken. I particularly didnt care for the sauce it was drenched in, nor did my wife. Needless to say, this was one plate we did not take home. The spring rolls were average. EMPLOYEES - 3 The cashier, was also served us our food at the table. She was friendly, but I do have to say, I did find it rude all that was said was maybe tops, 10 words in English, and the rest of time, we heard her in the background shouting out all kinds of things in Chinese. Regardless of the language, I find it rather rude to speak any language in front of customers (or within earshot), especially if they dont understand it.

I love Chinese food and I could eat it everyday of my life. The Curry Chicken is my favorite but overall everything I have eaten here over the past few years has been perfect. Id give the quality of the food, the look, even the presentation 5 stars. This is a small mom-and-pop restaurant and its well worth your time and effort, to make the trip if you like Chinese / Asian food. I do eat here pretty regularly now and it is always top notch, fresh food, prepared just exactly how I like it. They are always eager to please. The fun part for me is that they do remember me & just how I like things. Thats kind of cool! I have brought a couple of friends with me that have been on special diets. The owners have always been very accommodating. My friends now know that they have another place that they can eat, they also love the place.

This place is great. Word of advice if youre going with multiple people, order a few entree plates, if youre going single or as a couple, go for the combination plates. The biggest mistake people make when going to Chinese is not knowing how traditional Chinese meals are usually served. Theyre served "family style", meaning everyone "samples" from several plates. The combination plates come with an entree, lo mein/rice, and an egg roll for about $8.95, theyre perfect for couples or a single person. The lo mein here is the best Ive ever had and is so flavorful. The customer service is great and the couple that owns the place puts a lot of care into their service/food. Dont pass this up.

My experience with this place is one of the greatest experience ever then any other restaurants in ALL SLC UTAH, my boyfriend and I always drive at least min from home just to go eat at this place, the food is always freshly made and customer service is a plus!!!!! Every time we go in, the lady always made sure we were welcomed the second we stepped in the door, we order the same food every time we go, and the lady and her husband never fails to put a HUGE smile on our face,s, and leaving with a full belly!!! If there was a 100 star option, id give it a 100 star!!! Need a world wide spread on this restaurant...

Ordered Kung Pao chicken and chicken cashew combo meals and a side of pot stickers for takeout. Food was ready when I arrived. Friendly staff... The lady at the counter told us which entree was what. Eating it is different... In my opinion both meals were identically flavorless, and the Kung Pao had no heat. The chicken in both dishes was mushy. Pot stickers were crispy, seemed overcooked compared to other Chinese restaurants. Spent $22. I think there is better take out in sandy/midvale area.

I absolutely love their Chicken Lo Mein! I generally go there once to twice a week for convenience and Taste and Service. They know me and know what I want every time. I would have to say that I really havent been disappointed. I havent really tried many other things but the General Saos Chicken is also pretty good. I see some reviews with stars less than 5, I can understand those experiences if I had them but they seem to be 1 offs and I wouldnt suspect them to happen.

Mulan has delicious food! Dont come here expecting Panda Express, because you will be disappointed. The lady there is really nice and she always remembers me. Food is cooked fresh and remains hot. For the best deal I recommend getting a combo. My absolute favorite food to get here is the Garlic Chicken and Hot and Sour Soup. Other yummy food is Beef LoMein, Beef Broccoli (Actually more beef than broccoli. :O), and Orange Chicken. Mulan is also toddler approved. :)

I called up and ordered 50 egg rolls to bring to a friends house to eat while we watch football. They told me that the egg rolls would be ready in 15 minutes. We drove over, and the egg rolls were ready. They packaged them up for me, and we took them to the house and we watched football. The egg rolls were good and crunchy, and they were made in a timely manner. No issues. Thanks Mulan.

This is real Chinese food. Im from the east coast and had given up on eating Chinese food in Utah because of how nasty it was. Then God led me to Mulan and Im thankful. This is a regular family meal at my house. We dont just love the food but also the the owners and how nice they are, and I wouldnt pick any where else to enjoy food. You wont regret eating here I promise

Their food is some of the best Chinese that I have had here in Utah. Since moving from the east coast I have struggled to find Chinese food that can fill that hole in my heart. Im still looking for the perfect place out here, but this one comes close. I always get general tsos chicken, chicken lo-mein, and pork fried rice, and those are all great here.

If you eat here. Definitely do not dine in. Our meal came out to about 25 dollars for 2 entrees and there wasnt much on our plate. I ordered the shrimp lomein that was pretty good but my husband ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it was awful.. maybe the entrees are bigger when you order takeout.. Im not sure but our experience wasnt so great here.
